  1. That would be the mage, actually. Mages are actually very fun to play as this time around. The double-bladed staff ensures they aren't lacking in melee combat when things get ugly, either.
  2. I didn't count on having Bethany killed when I played as a mage. I'd rather have Bethany than Carver. Seriously. It's not about class matchup, it's who I want in my damn party. And I choose Bethany and not Carver. Also, Isabela is well-built in many places.
  3. Yes, and in the latter half of the trailer, it switches over to Oblivion's menu music as well.
  4. Malicious, anime chick has been replaced! Hahaha!

  5. And because of that, the scumbaggery thrives. No thanks to the current downgrade the site went through.
  6. My pet peeve: When people browse anonymously while logged in on forums. What, you scared the cyberpolice is after you or something?
  7. I remember seeing that in a replay once between IdrA and TLO. TLO actually did a Battlecruiser rush, but IdrA countered with Infestors. That was pretty epic.
  8. I am satisfied with the trailer and very hyped for this game.
  9. So I think I'm fine on the Orbital, then. For the M/M/T build, I'm using it mostly as a foothold to get into more advanced builds. It works fine for what I need it to right now. I suppose eventually I'll have to learn how to stop rushes. I remember reading somewhere that ramps aren't allowed to be walled off by 2x2 buildings anymore. I'm not particularly savvy, so I'm not entire sure what that means (it means that Ts can't build barracks to wall of ramps anymore?). In addition, is there just one type of rush they go for (which means if I'm playing against a certain player it'll be easy even without scouting to assume that he's going for that rush), or are there multiple types? I know Zerg has more than a few, like roaches and 6-pool. Well, that was a one-time case. My Zerg ally definitely had a lot of skill; he expanded to my natural and the natural after that by the time I could finish my first attack group with Thors and medivacs. He also went full Mutalisk later in the game (which I assume is a standard Zerg tactic?).
  10. Thanks for summarizing it, I didn't want to click the link to go to the dreaded site again.
  11. I thought it was in part that the graphics options were pretty much locked out for the demo. The highest quality the game can run at for me is Medium with maximum of 8x AA. Other than that, only the resolution can be set. Everything else is locked or set in stone.
  12. 2 factory, 2 port? Doesn't sound too bad. At the moment, I'm practicing builds. I currently found a working build with marine/medivac/Thors that I'm doing pretty well at. My most recent match could have been better but my Zerg ally was much more advanced than me and quickly expanded to 2-3 naturals by the time I managed to get my first Thors and medivacs out. Also, I find that I'm not very good at scouting (rather, it's more like I don't know what to do), I often get supply blocked because I forgot, I don't know when to get an Orbital Command (15?), and I usually can't spend within my own resource max (I usually end up with 1000 minerals and no gas because my build is usually gas heavy due to the Thors and Medivacs).
  13. Yeah, I noticed as well. The game would run smoothly and then, by the tiny slightest bit and only for a split-second, the game seemingly jumped and/or stuttered. Happened a lot in combat, too. Hope they iron that out.
  14. Wow, after taking a look at that Escapist page... that's WAY too much pale.
  15. That's exactly my sentiment, actually. Not so much on the jail part. What I know of this current issue is actually pretty little. I'd probably be lying if I said he didn't know the risks by going public with the code. I also very much doubt that he'd actually counted on Sony to follow up on the lawsuit, and now he's landed himself in hot water.
  16. Surprisingly, I think I like playing Rogue in this one over Warrior. Most likely due to the cooldown gaps between both classes. Rogue's cools down much more faster (and the moves look cool to boot). And again, Flemeth really had a fashion makeover. Really.
  17. You know, at the very beginning, when he spoke his first words, I almost mistook him for Captain Angelos from Dawn of War 2. Then he spoke some more and it sounded different.
  18. PC reigns at the top. *holds up fists* Anyways, I think there's more flame to be had from CD Projekt flaming Dragon Age 2 by stating that the Witcher 2 looks better (which, honestly, it does).
  19. If you came to this thread looking for the B.net friending thread, that's here. This thread is for general discussion of the game, SP or MP. ====== SP was okay. Story was okay. Gameplay was okay. Had fun overall. tl;dr: Fun. ====== Now for MP. I'm not sure if anyone plays it (and consistently online at that), but I've been contemplating getting back into the multiplayer for a while now. However, I do suck at the game, but I don't really want to go out of the way to watch videos and would rather just pick things up as I go. A skill that I picked up from MMOs is that I tend to learn the ropes very quickly (see: matter of seconds) and I'm hoping that'll rub off on this for me (though when it comes to tactical foresight and planning against the opponent, I don't do so well on that). My other friends who play MP religiously say that I should just abandon the practice league matches and go straight into a ranked game to actually learn how well I play. They claim that practice league matches are far too slow and aren't really representative of the MP very well. Thoughts?
  20. Skyrim gameplay footage to go live tomorrow. Yeah. Their site also shows it as well: The actual site.
  21. So... this is shortly after the attack on Lothering, correct? Flemeth sure had a change of costume after the Grey Warden took Morrigan and left.
  22. The demo was a lot better than I thought it would be. Unfortunately, the conversation options seemed to do crap-all as they didn't really have much holding in the demo other than eliciting responses. The combat is more enjoyable for me this time around, though it is quite irritating to use a multitude of skill flourishes only to spend the next 30 seconds hacking away at the enemy for tiny, tiny chunks of their health, rinse, repeat.
  23. I tried the demo and I thought it was almost perfect. Almost. Why, you say? Because it looks like somebody took every single color in the game and turned up the brightness intensity to 500%. It honestly looks like I'm playing Shogun 2: Bright Color Era on my PC. It's been pretty damn annoying since it occurs both on the world map and in battle as well. I'd post screenshots but I can't seem to figure out where Steam or the game has decided to keep them.
