It's kind of his schtick; and it's worked out quite well for him. His stream gets a ridiculous amount of viewers who mostly want to see his hilariously bad manners. He just got a spot on team ROOT; which I think is more for their publicity than his skill level even though he's ranked pretty high. That video is probably not the best example of his humor, I just thought it was cool that he once had a similar name to mine. EDIT: I'd probably be a huge douche to people if I played Zerg too.

They were my favourite band all throughout my teen years. I was so upset that they broke up. Was expecting a farewell tour or something. Had the opportunity to see them live at the Ottawa Bluesfest, and unlike most bands that play Bluesfest they actually did all their Blues songs. It was great because the local paper was criticizing the event for not really embracing its blues theme (last year, for instance, they had Snoop Dogg performing) and Jack says up on stage "(whatever reporter) wrote an article today asking if the White Stripes are bluesy enough for Bluesfest. Well I dunno about you but I think that man might be colour blind." It ended up being one of the best shows I've ever seen. It was such a treat to get to hear them perform songs that they wouldn't normally do live because they catered the setlist to the theme of the show. Anyway; here's my favourite Stripes song...

I finally got to see Rubber last night after the trailer thread hyped it up so much. Remarkable film, I think people are gonna be pretty surprised once they see it. The story is actually driven by the directors need to give the audience something to do (this is actually personified in the film), and so it becomes this whole big self parody that just sort of ridicules all aspects of film making and viewing. My buddy and I were in stitches the whole time. I'd recommend watching it with a friend; it's quite interactive. There were a bunch of times when we'd comment about the movie, only to have one of the characters in the film reassure what we said shortly thereafter. The self-awareness is just through the roof.

This always summed it up for me. Apple products just strike me as stuff that does a lot of things half-assed rather than a few specific things right. I'd rather pick and choose what I need for my computer and have it be modular if I want to update in the future; much easier to do with PCs. My mom and sister do the iPod thing. I once got a shuffle for christmas and traded it in for a generic mp3 player 3 days later. Paid half price for the same amount of memory and a screen.

Yesterday I was looking for something to watch and checked out the trailers for a bunch of the movies in this thread. Settled on this one. Sooooooooooo glad I did. Was delightful. The Troll Hunter is a such a lovable character that I just wanna cuddle up in his beard and die. Also; the pseudo-scientific explanations they give for everything are pretty well thought out. All the natural explanations for fairy tale stuff that doesn't require a huge stretch of the imagination (I mean, of course it's bullshit, but the justification for things like Trolls turning to stone has enough basis in reality for it to hold some weight).

Did anybody see Red State and is it as good as it looks? Just found out about it. Was never of the opinion that Kevin Smith was a bad filmmaker; and I like following any Westboro drama that pops up in the news. Plus I find Smith particularly interesting when he's talking about religion. Reviews seem kind of meh though. EDIT: Ah, nevermind. Apparently it's only in festivals until October anyway.

I actually kind of dig that Red Faction box. Captures the destructive part of the game quite nicely. The model kind of sucks though; seems like he's forcing that look on his face rather than doing anything that might actually be menacing.

Not that I've watched this recently; but how many people saw Intolerable Cruelty? I never hear anyone talk about it and a lot of people don't even realize it's a Coen bros. film but I thought it was hilarious. Comedy in the same vein as Lebowski about divorce lawyers and gold diggers falling in love.

Most movies don't have such an awesome premise. What's your beef against killer tire movies? (EDIT: Seriously though; the related links at the side on the youtube page show Killer Condom, which was an awesome Troma film; are they maybe the ones behind it?) Also; this is sadly real. And I take back everything I ever said about the internet...
