  1. Hideo Kojimas new game. Not much known about it at the moment except it's looking to be a 2018 game, Sony is publishing and it features Norman Reedus in it. A stranding, as kinda covered in the trailer, is when whales beach themselves. What that'll have to do with the game, and the baby n what not we'll see in a couple years I guess.
  2. Yeah Sony pretty much "won" E3 at this point. Really solid show, just bang-bang-bang on the games. Maybe not everything I'm in to, though this seems like a neat GoW game that's not wholly a GoW game. The COD also looked quite good too, though not something I'd super splash out on but I might chat with my bro since I know he CODs and I might be able to get him to get it for me I'm not bothered with the VR, but some neat VR games shown off too, though seemed at the expense of any indie titles.
  3. Yeah, I'm meh on zombies n all, but that was a shit ton of bodies on screen at once, and interacting in a physics environment too. There's some solid technical chops in that game.
  4. I've found no issues with uPlay myself, I quite like the stuff they do with the points to unlock smaller bits of DLC in their games. And yeah the Sony conference has been pretty damn sweet so far. I think a strong bit from it is so far its been an almost constant stream of games with minimal on-stage stuff. Having some VR to show off helped too.
  5. I think Obama was pretty on the money that it's fucked up that you can put people on a no-fly list, but cos of the NRA you can have someone interviewed on two separate occasions on suspected ties with ISIL, as well as beating his ex-wife, and still end up getting hold of a gun. Heck, his job was a security guard for G4S (which their incompetence is of little surprise). It has been somewhat warming during E3 seeing the amount of people on stage flying their pride flags, and while slightly misplaced nice for Aisha Tyler to open in statement in support of the victims. It's not really gonna change anything, just been used by various parties (a big and disgusting one one being Trump with his "congrats") to push their positions. Been a bit of a brouhaha with it over here after Guardian writer Own Jones walked off Sky News discussion on it after they carried on going with an "all lives matter" angle as he's trying to push it to them as a LGBT targeted homophobic terrorist attack. But Sky News is wank so hardly a surprise (it's owned by Murdoch, same as Fox). I worry for you guys. There's strides here n there but while there's groups pushing to allow for the "right" to have tools of mass murder there's little safety. I know this attack will really shake up the LGBT communities of US because this was an attack in a safe space. It's like the feelings we discussed a while ago on having your home broken into, it leaves you shaken.
  6. Blind Film Critic is returning. Its been a fair few years since he did a review, mainly focusing on his "Tommy Edison Experience" channel, (which is also great). Worth giving some of his stuff a watch, they're pretty short reviews and they're quite neat in that he's obviously not able to see the film so he's got an interesting spin on it. (my favourite of his) In other news I threw together a bit of a post, been writing a few half-articles lately n outlining some others so slowly putting stuff out. http://deanbowes.com/favourite-lesser-known-films/ edit: and apologies for veering from our currently scheduled E3 programming.
  7. Their politics seem a little forced and on the nose, but eh looks like it'll be decent. Also your main character wears a Dedsec cap, and his online name is the same as his real name. Kinda hoping in the co-op stuff they can't fuck over your game too much. I never bothered much with the MP in the original but it was kinda neat idea.
  8. They should really have put the title up on the screen first, it's not until after that I realised that it was a pun and not just "Fractured Butthole". Seems a good way to follow up Stick of Truth.
  9. So alongside their new batch of DLC (which they've kinda not put on their channel yet which is dumb) they've announced that they'll be doing a VR update (or a standalone VR version, it's a wee bit unclear on that front given wording in the following article). It sounds like at the moment it's not that great but hey early days: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2016-06-13-hands-on-with-fallout-4-vr
  10. This was sort of known before hand due to Trademarks, but now it's all official and you can register for a beta of the standalone Gwent game. I'm mixed on this cos the game within Witcher 3 was very weighted in your favour, especially once you get Spies in play. However they're obviously re-balancing it for PvP play. Also my other iffiness is how the Adventure Game was made digitally too, but that mainly sucked cos the board game did. Anywho, here's the sign up site: https://www.playgwent.com/en
  11. You know the next question will be "what's a Floating Point Operation Per Second?" It's essentially how many times it can do 1+1=2 per second. So stuff like calculating trajectories, overlaying dashboards, etc, it's all maths.
  12. The short n shiny gameplay trailer Their gameplay sequence from the confrence, though ends before they covered the time travelling stuff (If anyone knows of a source on that pls link, it was pretty cool) Both Emily n Corvo are now voiced characters, and I suspect from the way they presented that you'll play as one or the other that one of them doesn't make it out the prologue alive. But we'll see. I'm sorta mulling over who I'd play, Corvo has the abilities you see in original, but amped up a little, and Emily has a mostly new set of skills. Seems like they're gonna have the way you carry out missions play more into the overall story now too, in the original there was the High/Low chaos and some remarks made post mission (though only one I've noticed so far of note that wasn't ambiguous was the note left to Corvo from Pendleton if you don't kill his brothers). I'm slightly miffed the overall arc seems to be another "you're set up for murders, now prove your innocence" but that's just the framework to exploring a neat world n cool missions. Also since I'm replaying: The place where the majority of Dishonored 2 is set is Corvos home (there's a thing with Dishonored in that there's natural suspicion of Corvo since he's not local).
  13. This looks fun. Also Dwayne Johnson is popping up in so many movies of late. It wouldn't be surprising the resolution of Infinity War just The Rock doing a clothesline on Thanos. Also it's coming out on "Thanksgiving" cos we all know when that is.
  14. "With the new Xbox One dashboard update you'll be able to publish your gaming activity straight to LinkedIn and add your Gamer Score to your CV"

  15. It was this https://twitter.com/jimwaterson/status/742319511261581312 (Also I find it fun that leave have a .eu domain, which they can only get because we're part of the EU....)
  16. Some pretty mesmerising CGI.
  17. I've it running muted so I can know when it starts, listening to other things on the side.
  18. I don't have the DLC. I guess if it goes cheap in the summer sale (when is that?) I might grab it.
  19. I had been doing Borderlands 2, and beat the main campaign and 95% of Dragon Keep, but the final boss battle was dicks so I've shelved that one. Currently playing Dishonored after discussing it and DXHR with Ethan other day as being on the "replay this game" list. Turns out I started playing it exactly 3 years and a day after I had last beaten it.
  20. Yeah not even the Youtube "E3 hub" they've got set up seems to really have any concise trailer collection. They've got game lists but it's full of shit videos folks have thrown together than much in the way of a curated selection of trailers.
  21. I think there's only trailers n such out so far, nothing gameplay wise except in writing. I imagine we'll see more in a couple hours at the Bethesda stream.
  22. Well that was utter wank. They only managed to show off their annual franchises, an indie-like game n a bit of Mass Effect trailer n some folks, which I guess one of them is Amy Henning, talking about the potential upcoming Star Wars games.
  23. I'm in the PXOD Steam chat btw if anyone wants to pop in n shoot breeze during E3.
