Seems it's regional, then device based roll out so give it a bit but should be out for you by tonight I'd imagine. @Dan: Not entirely like that. Less an issue of Android vs iOS and more that we're all playing n being like "we joined Team Instinct, n caught a Koffing n wooh adventures" n shit, and she's the girl outside the window looking in. She did eventually give in and try to load it on her Kindle, but turns out it doesn't have a rear camera so no-go.

She has a KindleFire but is paranoid about using sideloading n "getting banned". But we're pointing out no one is getting banned for using a OS function on an app that's launched and made by devs owned by the OS owners, and funded by the OS owners. edit: We had a group chat set up to coordinate Team Yellow efforts but have outside of that chat decided to stop posting about our progress cos iOS is getting pissy n whiny about being "left behind", when we've noted it's like half an hour of walking around and she'd be caught up (and given she's out of work atm she's got that time). In this particular instance I have little empathy.

Well then di..di...di...digimon. I've gone on a round trip outside my house and skirting the Town Moor, got a few pokemon. Surprisingly few pokemon in the "grassy" areas, mostly in houses n such. Also unsure how it scales up in getting the more uncommon stuff, so far have Weedles, Pidgeys, Rattatas mainly; the usual early start stuff. Though I did have a Koffing on my radar once (well, as in the "Nearby" thing, not in the player location circle thingy). It's a bit slow is my only major issue I guess, like in getting pokemon and being able to find them. I'll be walking into town later this week so I'll see how it fairs in more densely packed areas. Need to be level 5 to be able to start taking over "Gyms", which'll likely be the main part of the game. Worth noting like Ingress it's main thing is to get you up n walking about, it's a Google Maps dataminer in the shape of a game. So if you're not up for having a gander around town, or visiting other places (I've got two trips away planned this month so I'm sorted) then you're a bit effed and it won't be for you.

Yeah it strikes me as pretty dirty, not that Sky have much integrity to begin with. I think in general folks should be allowed to hold their views private. There is a slight idiocy in talking in-front of a potentially hot mike and that's caught out folks like Blair n Bush, Brown*, and Charles before now. Also given this is Sky, heavily owned by Murdoch, the "in the bed" nature doesn't have to mean they're pally with all politicians. Honestly I'm surprised not much has been made of the fact that weekend before his resignation Farage was out rubbing shoulders with Murdoch at a garden party. Not just in a casual "both were there at same time" but even eating together too. Oh n Liam Fox was also there too (he's one of the PM candidates) for a Murdoch chin-wag. Oh Andrea Leadsom, who is a bit of a "whose that" compared to the other candidates seems hopelessly oblivious on how websites are made which is a :/ though maybe not as much as May. May makes Thatcher look nice. The brass band following her around playing Imperial March don't help her either. Half of the potential candidates don't even have fully operating human suits either, at least sort that technical issue out before putting them centre stage. Oh May isn't ruling out repatriation either, so that's a thing. But not surprising given her "go home" vans. *He was totally in the fucking right with that, and dragging her out for EU referendum stuff to give her a stage was stupid too. My general funtimes with Starpoint Gemini is dwindling given I carry on getting blown the fuck up in my first upgraded ship, and it's really mixed bag where you can end up in areas with both "Trivial" and "Impossible" enemies so there doesn't seem to be any levelling aspect of sorts to the world (I suspect it's level scaling instead). So gonna call it quits on it for a while (the controls are very simple point n click affair for the most part so not gonna be totally locked out if it's a few months before I return). Also playing FF Exvius on mobile too, which has nice SNES style FF graphics with the usual F2P type model on top though getting through it pretty damn fine atm with all the "Friends" I have on it securing me a shit ton of "Friend Points" so the only major issue on it is the usual energy process but not hit a limit on that so far, you can do a decent chunk of quests with what you have and it's about the time period you'd want to put in on a session. Mixing n matching up parties is pretty sweet with all the "Jobs" available, can really make them all play off each other quite well. It's the usual "crystals" n earth/fire/water/air shrine lark story wise. Familiar ground.

I've gotten Room 1 n Room 2 on android and rather enjoyed them, a dollar is a pretty good price for em. They're not super long, and I'd guess the prettiness might be lost on PC (since used to much prettier things). But a nifty puzzle game. The Neptunia games I'd been sorta eyeing up as I heard they're kinda old-school FF type vibe (well.."old school" being pre-XIII really) but got other RPGs to enjoy (including FF games ) n tbh not super keen on the kind of cutesy anime style n other artistic attributes they apply to their games

Man getting really tempted to pull the trigger, but on the other hand plenty to play n in 6 months time it'll be the Xmas sales n it'll be more developed by then. It's one of the few "survival" games that isn't MP-only though which is what draws me to them. I' like podding around on my own, rather than having to be concerned that someones is gonna pop out a bush n kill me for my shit.

Wooh! Yeah I'd probably have just called the laptop a lost cause myself. And yeah, splodging all over the place isn't a good sign. In new CPUs it's normally sort of printed on so certainly weird. But yeah, wooh. Personally it's not a common task, but yeah it's pretty simple to do now n then.

I recently read "Marvels" and "Ruins". Both sort of following the same theme, though the latter more a sort of parody/corruption of the former. Marvels is by Kurt Busiek and retells much of the Marvel history through the eyes of a photojournalists from the start of WWII, and the rise of the original Human Torch and Namor, through to the civil unrest against the X-Men decades later and the death of Gwen Stacy. It's a nice art style that's very similar to that of Kingdom Come (*has a thought* *Googles*)...cos it's the exact same artist; Alex Ross. So yeah it's that lovely painterly style. It's fairly short, and nice sort of summary of sorts on the events of the Marvel universe as seen from random people in the streets and their opinions and interactions with these gods amongst men. There's a vaguely ambigious ending of sorts in a "are these good guys good for everyone" sort of vibe that I guess given recent movies seems a bit dated (it's like 20 years old mind so...) Ruins is different writer and artist, much shorter and it's sort of the multiverse of Sods Law. Mystique has horrific multiple personality disorder, Prof X has taken over the white house, Cyclops has his eyes removed to stop the beams, Fantastic Four (except ironically Ben Grimm who didn't go) are all mutilated by cosmic radiation. etc etc.There's no hugely consistent storyline of sorts and ends on quite a whimper but is more an art in "what could be the ways these powers fuck up".

I've been watching Preacher of late, though a bit behind cos it has the annoying issue of being on the same day as Game of Thrones. Having read the comic run it's clearly immediate from the get go it is not using that as a storyboard, which is kinda cool I guess and keeps everyone mostly in the dark, with the odd easter egg of sorts for comic book readers (e.g building a scale model of the Alamo). On the other hand some of the changes aren't always for the best and episode 3 had me drifting from it a bit as it was like "okay you're setting up way too many threads without resolving others" but episode 5 (the latest) has gotten me back on board. One thing I'm liking is the expansion of character for some of the bit players. For example Arseface was pretty much only in the book for the sake of making a joke that his face looks like an arse, but he's quite a compelling and empathetic character in the show. I'm not super sure if I'd recommend it, it's...well it's produced by Seth Rogen, has a character called Arseface and is based on a Garth Ennis comic series so yeah might give a clue of the kind of show that it is. Yeah I use the activity feed a chunk, so Follow would be a totally useless function for me unless it's something I'm really into which would likely be something I either own, or is on my wishlist. For the "this looks kinda neat, lets see how this is in a few months" I don't need need every 0.92b 0.93b 0.94b updates in my feed.

I carry on staring at Subnautica, but the other part of me stares at my current backlog too. In fact there's a lot of cool little games I've come across this summer sale. I should figure some system of making a list of "things to check back on in a few months when I've time/money(hah!)" that isn't just the Wishlist.
