  1. "Spiderman" is actually Spider-Man. Black Panther wasn't like a show stealer or anything, but I went in not expecting much from him except like a bit of a cameo to lead into the solo film but he was really well done.
  2. I'm on a RAT 5. I like it, though folks that see it in person are like "whoa" n reckon it would be uncomfortable, when in actuality it's really nice cos you can tweak the shape. My main issue with it is it has a side scroll on it, but I can't for the life of me get it to work in anything or bind it to any particular command.
  3. Thoughts n prayers with you America.
  4. They're doing a sequel: "We're Wolves"

    Dawn of War

I was never able to fully complete the first campaign, some weird bug. Didn't grab the Imperial Assault expansion, but did grab the others and quite liked...either Dark Crusade/Soulstorm (or bit of boths) campaign that played out through multiple enemy types and had a more active map. Was pretty neat. DOWII changes it up a fair bit, you now have named units and throughout the campaign gain "Wargear" which you can equip for special abilities and boosts, as well as abilities through levelling up iirc. It's not so much maps with one side and another, but they're linear maps you progress through with objectives along the way (I guess the first Campaign had elements of this). I quite enjoyed it. The Retribution expansion had a bit more of the Dark Crusade/Soulstorm style campaign where you have multiple locations you can choose to take, which iirc did give a bit of choice to how it all panned out. Had the space hulk to fight on too which was pretty neat. And iirc at the end of the story it was all for shit anyway cos Chaos got in on the action.
  6. Dawn of War III announced. Will be a bit of both the past two games, with larger armies and bases but still having the levelling elite unites. Seems they'll be bringing in some of the Titans too that have been (relatively) recently introduced into the 40K miniatures. Only the three armies (at least announced) which is a bit of a bummer but always hope for more down the line. Loved this game in uni, quite liked the sort of RPG-shift it saw in Dawn of War II as well though took an initial getting used to. Either way it's shit ton cheaper than the miniatures. http://www.pcgamer.com/dawn-of-war-3-inside-relics-biggest-rts-yet/ (Personally I also think the Dawn of War cinematic was much better than this one) Dawn of War II was pretty solid too, if just for the tyranids
  7. I've been watching these videos lately. Quite interesting and relaxing. Completely useless knowledge to know in my day to day, but I guess everything goes to shit one day it'll be useful. Think it's good knowledge to pass down the generations. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAL3JXZSzSm8AlZyD3nQdBA (You can tell it takes a while for these videos to be made cos lichen has started growing along the bottom near the end of the video in this one)
  8. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.projectrockofficial.rockclock Official Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson alarm clock app. Totally free, no IAPs, get woken up by dulcet tones of The Rock or chainsaw dueling and such others. No snooze as The Rock doesn't believe in them.
  9. So Disney have remade Force Awakens with Emojis, they're cheating quite a lot though.
  10. So it's a slight spoiler for UC4(nothing that impacts story but you might find more joy in experiencing first hand), and I imagine it works a shit ton better in motion but for those interested here's a bit of a incorrectly labelled "Easter Egg" in UC4: http://imgur.com/a/FmNWJ I've a feeling this'll get referenced later on in the game in some way.
  11. So it was ITTD yesterday (or just ITD, I dunno). Played a few games: Game of Phones I'd seen this on the shelf as a new game n given it had no writing on it that I could tell certainly turned me off. Anyway it's sort of Cards Against Humanity style game, though game provides purely instructions, with no answers because your phone is the answer. So it's like person with the most dating apps, best last photo they took, having to google things like cheapest continental flights, or to get the most likes on a social network post within a round. It was a bit shit tbh. Billionaire Banshee Sort of like superfight to a degree I guess. You each get given a "date" and "deny" card, and in turns you draw a card from the "Perk" and a card from the "Quirk" deck and this is your date and people vote if they think you'd date them. So like I had a person that vomits cheesburgers (that was the "perk") but also cheats on your compulsively. Like it had the mechanics there for a game, but there was like no "win" condition, it was just drawing out silly cards really. Pandemic: Contagion I've yet to play Pandemic so can't relate how this plays to the main game but basically you play as the virus instead, trying to infect cities. You have a petri dish for your cubes which is neat, always like little thematic touches. I was familiar with the mechanics already since it largely played like Mars Attack Dice: You flood the city with your pieces until it is destroyed and the cities each have special abilities n certain point values. In this you draw out an "event card" each turn that can either help or hinder you (e.g it being new school term makes your Infections worth an extra cube, the WHO doing something knocks some of your points back). You spend some of your turn upgrading your virus too, which helps draw more cards, put down more infection pieces or resist the WHO events somewhat. Galaxy Trucker My first time playing this and it is a pretty fun game. It's certainly a game where you can get better at it with time, though I still came in a close second so not bad. Mainly in knowing best ways to build up a ship, and what parts you'll need coming up. The best part of all this was the guy who owned the game messed up a bit and we had "Heavy Duty Parts" in play which add weight to the ship, and his maths was off in how much engine power he needed, so he post-creation tweaked his ship. Changed the flight order to put himself at the back to compensate for his minor cheating. He ended the game with only a single piece of his ship left, and in avoiding a 5 credit penalty at the start he'd ended up losing his lead completely. Also played some previous games such as We Didn't Playtest This, Oz Fluxx, Two Rooms and a Boom, n Secret Hitler (kinda bummed didn't get to play Saboteur, there was a few folks wanting to play it new but the "Didn't playtest this" crowd were louder. I'd also brought Abyss with me but it's a 4 player game and a nightmare to get something like that sorted when there's so many people)
  12. Oh, i saw the mid credits one then, and that was great. It's the err red light thing seems confusing, it's a lesser known comic thing. So a thought on the relationship with the comic arc: Given its now just single films until 2019 (i think. Just top of my head) i doubt we'll get much closure on this until Infinity War.
  13. I don't know, I couldn't find out if there was any and at the end all the lights went up and people started shuffling out (and I was end of row so be a dick move to sit there staunchly for 5 minutes on off chance). However I am aware there is one, and it's meant to be okay, though for many somewhat confusing. edit: So I've been mulling on the Spider-Man-Iron Man relationship and And for the forum crowd: Aunt May: Peter can you take the trash out? Peter: yeah like the boy in the three million dollar suit will take the trash out. Come on! Oh I wonder if this means the upcoming Netflix shows will reference (heck might even briefly feature) Spider-Man.
  14. I posted all mine in a spoiler tag in the Good Movie thread waiting for other folks to see it so we can have a good old natter about that thing that happens to Iron Man.
  15. This is quite neat. It was pretty good sign for Winter Soldier that they had to notable nitpick to pick on it, which shows the Russo brothers probably aren't going with faux flattery in saying the "honest trailer proofed" it.
  16. https://twitter.com/netflix/status/726041802080317440 Netflix have announced a standalone Punisher series. I liked him in Daredevil but I think he was sort of wrapped up. Gonna be a lot of shows if they keep spinning folks off, already got Luke Cage n Iron Fist coming up too.
  17. Captain America: Civil War So I've just come from this movie so obviously still hype n got to mull over to pick up the bad bits (but if you've seen enough MCU films you know where its weakest element is anyway) but other than that it's great. Probably the biggest thing for this is the fight coreography, it was great for all of them. This is the Avengers after months/years of training and honing their skills and they show it. I think it helps to not have Thor n Hulk in purely cos it means the fighting isn't as lopsided n all punchy punchy throughout but a nice use of all their powers and skills.(though there's one notable big hitter around but he's "distracted"). New additions are on point and Spider-Man was fantastic n while I'm bummed on the continually pre-20s Parker he's pretty neat so I'll let it slide. T'Challa is a great and organic addition and I'm looking forward to his standalone film. A shame his wife is in another franchises, but eh so are a few Avengers. Only negatives: Quite on the nose cameo, but it's a treat n over quite quick. The villain (despite carrying a name that should make him more formidable) Much like Week of Ultron, it's pretty much Civil Brawl but what one hell of a brawl it is. It's quite anticlimactic. Martin Freeman fucking sucked. I drank too much tea before I left and had to nip to loo for like 5 minutes so something in that could have happened that was fantastic, but I feel not. Now on to the spoiler filled section where I gush in detail. God I'd be embarrassed if I just knocked out another superhero fighting each other movie.... But yeah, here's looking forward to the rest of Phase 3.
  18. And the commonwealth games, and proper electric kettles. And the BS1363.
  19. They need to pull a Sega n shift out of the hardware business. Consoles at least. They've a ton of great IPs but at this point would likely make more in releasing their games on other platforms. Handheld they could probably do vaguely well on, though they've already began cannibalising that with mobile phone games. Heck, maybe trial the waters a bit with a Virtual Console pack on other platforms, nothing that's super new and nothing that'd really eat into their sales but would give a taste of sales they might expect on other platforms. I will repeat my utter shock they've yet to do an in-house gameboy emulator for mobile with game IAPs.
  20. I dunno, OK Go stuff recently popped into my head. (otherwise I've been on quite a 70's binge. I guess most of them are mainly quite upbeat n happy)
  21. A pretty succinct video covering the new powers, general story etc. Turns out Jensen had loads of tech implanted that he wasn't aware of until the sequel, how convenient
  22. https://twitter.com/MrKenShabby/status/725659102161063936
  23. Distinct feeling most of these are on purpose.
  24. If you're a Hearthstone player they've released a new expansion n game mode, and with it you can get a bunch of packs for free through logging in and through playing in the new game mode.
