  1. Don't forget we get this guy in the next film @Hotheart:
  2. @TCP: The old canon used to be that it was Plagueis who was fucking about with the force and accidentally made Anakin. New canon is "huh?" @Mal:
  3. http://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2015/dec/18/republican-voters-bomb-agrabah-disney-aladdin-donald-trump 1/3 of Republicans would support the bombing of Agrabah. The fictional home of Aladdin.
  4. I'm pretty sure Peggs guy was CG too which was surprising given there's shots of him in suit. But yeah two major characters are CG but fine enough for it.
  5. Anywho might slow down pace a bit on this or we'll have written more than the complete novelization for the film n be nice for folks to not be intimidated.

  7. @Ethan second edit @Atomsk: My step-dad n I looked at each other confused at RotK cos it's missing like 3 chapters of the ending. Even had it cut in the Extended Edition. (in the book Saruman enslaves the hobbits and has them start rebuilding his army, which also means all the trees get cut down which is why it was poignant Sam is given a seed from Lothlorien. edit: So for those yet to see it this is a fairly low level spoiler if you're curious and want to keep an eye out for Daniel Craig: (I won't be re-watching it for a while and wouldn't purposefully go to check him out)
  8. Right Super jokely I've watched it now, this is kind of a trial run maybe I dunno just having some shits and giggles.
  9. Right super seriously I've watched it now, this is not a trial run, this is the real thing. If you've not seen Star Wars yet CLICK THIS BUTTON FOR EMERGENCY HYPERSPACE JUMP Also I'm aware Americans do it and I think it's proper fucking weird and stupid but hey this is the first time I've been in a film in the UK and at the rolling of the credits the audience clapped.
  10. Yeah I figured likely get them on actual European sites, though be rare/unlikely for Americans to purposefully visit. And the bigger global sites (Google, Facebook etc) would be able to Geo IP (even BBC does it which is annoying cos some stuff is from the commercial arm so blocked in UK)
  11. So based on a joke I made on twitter last night about the EU cookie law being favourited by folks from america, mexico and hong kong does that mean you guys get the same pop-ups too?
  12. On mobile google for "bubble level"

  13. Yeah I was even giving an out for that too: Like I understand it's Star Wars, but I'm at work (a recent trope being the "ask dean to call landlord/fix things/pick-up contracts while he's at the 9-5 job he's held for more than 2yrs then get annoyed when he says he's at work"). Not much extra effort to sneak quietly through the door like you're breaking in and sneak off upstairs to bed for the night instead of grabbing another housemate n having a good chat in the hallway. It could easily have waited until the morning. Heck for the past week+ on the communal whiteboard right next to "birthday party 18th/19th" is "discuss star wars 17th". Ah well, offski to see family next Wednesday onwards. edit: had a much better response from other housemate. Does reinforce the "opposites attract" stuff . She was the only one to help sort out fire alarm issue other week without complaint or resistance too. (and amazingly the one I've lived with longest of all of them).
  14. Two of my housemates went for the midnight viewing. Really enjoyed the film. Found this out at 3AM. Wasn't already best of sleeping moods since one that had remained practised guitar beyond midnight. Dropped a message to em that it was 3AM, but got ignored, chat continued at non-3AM volume pretty much outside my door with guitar practising housemate. Currently pulling teeth trying to get an apology at least. edit: "Fine, I'm sorry for the maybe 5 words in personally said". The sincerity is breathtaking.
  15. We'd group tomato, mayo, mustard, etc and salt n pepper as condiments, but S&P definitely in their own class (occasionally with vinegar).
  16. Yeah I'd say tag spoilers. Though if you use the "preview" feature be aware that that doesn't parse the spoiler tags so you'll see: Rather than
  17. Oh man if I'm feeling particularly crappy or out on the town a tray of cheesy chips is lush. Especially if it's crispy around top n sides n gooey in the centre and gotta put effort in pulling the chips from their cheesey tomb
  18. You guys don't occasionally have mayo with your chips(fries)? We mainly have tomato sauce but yeah mayo is nice to dip your chips in now n then.

  20. In universe no the stickers for vents aren't a thing. I'm unsure if it's meant to be vents though. The "stunt" (aka mass produced for extras) helmets just had a sticker on which is more obvious with age: The "hero" helmets (worn by Han n Luke, or in close-up shots) were hand painted: As mentioned given that they had the vents around the mouth it was unlikely a production problem to not put vents on the side as well if they wanted to. These are the ones sort of meant to be "what they're actually like" since the most effort went into making them. Given they're hand finished even discounting molding process they could still have got a craft knife to trim in vents if that's what they'd wanted for the design. There's a few differences between the two, such as the stickers and most noticeable is the lower brow on the Hero helmets. Also major issues on asymmetry as the molds quality degraded through the series. I understand fully that the Empire in-universe didn't decide after the battle of Yevon to fuck up their soldiers helmets. I perfectly understand the in-universe versus practical production differences mean that lightsabers aren't hand crafted by a jedi from a flash gun, and Hans blaster isn't literally a German WWII pistol.
