It means downloading "Steam" but Dr. Langeskov, The Tiger, and The Terribly Cursed Emerald: A Whirlwind Heist is free. http://store.steampowered.com/app/409160/ (from the Stanley Parable guy)

It means downloading the "Epic Launcher" but Shadow Complex Remastered is free on PC for limited time: https://www.epicgames.com/shadowcomplex/

Wasn't even actively looking for one of these, but for £5 figured it'd be worth a bit of fun to try out: Was a bit fiddly to make mind, and largely held together by the tension of the velcro.

https://youtu.be/t5K30QSH_m0 So Sky made a promo trailer for their Star Wars marathon and it's pretty damn good. It's almost like the original posters (I'm not a huge fan of the new poster tbh. Way too busy, and I like the illustrated painter style of the prequel/newer originals)

Someone re-edited the trailer (with some snippets of previous trailers) which avoids massive spoilers and that weird deadzone near the start with Luthor. p.s I love when folks do a good re-edit. Same footage, re-cut leads to different tone and message.

It's only relatively minor detailing, a bezel here, a few extra screws there, finer grip texture. The original props weren't known to be overly great either: wasn't until Revenge of The Sith that Darth Vader finally got a symmetrical helmet, and the original storm trooper armour was known to cut into the actors as it wasn't produced with a particularly smooth edge. edit: Also this is Harrison Fords Empire interview summed up: http://i.imgur.com/Kfh9sJT.gifv

I know film grain isn't the same as resolution. Comparing film with digital is apples to oranges. Both are fruit but you'd measure how good they are in different ways. The original film was half filmed in a dessert, and much of it is composited together from stop motion and green screen, to the point bits of it has tie fighters on very clear squares, and one iconic is irreversibly black for part of the film and it wasn't until decades later that the original lightsaber battles were able to be digitally touched up to remove artefacts created from the in-camera effect used at the time. I'll know for future not to use it as an off-hand. @Ethan: The vast majority of films are not filmed in 8K. I think the best RED is only 6K and that's like the kind of thing you'd get on very high end projects like Avatar 2 or something IIRC Hobbit was on the early RED Ones which were 4K. Unless you mean as in film..films are at 8K which goes back to "film =/= digital"

Typical old film has no resolution, but instead has grain. Quality of the film stock used affects the overall quality of the film, so when you do convert it to digital it does affect how much quality you can get out of it before it notably degrades. (lest ye forget I did study VFX in uni) Anywho: Episode I to VI in 3 minutes

On the Bizarro front, it would seem the rumours are tied in with Doomsday (who you'll note is a sort of clone of Zod. Hence being able to use heat vision). So sort of Doomzarro. Oh folks have also noticed parademons in the background of Batmans desert fight scene, but since this is considered a dream it's unlikely to result in Darksied. The leaked plot implies Cyborg is near the end (well, early on for initial intor, but Cyborg himself at the end following the attack), and Flash is mentioned in a "I hear there's a red blur in Central City" kind of way for the following scene. No "oh and a shape shifter ultra cool martian just over the way as well".

Google are: https://fi.google.com/about/ Also Mal don't work yourself too hard, could end up fracturing and being all sedimentary and other rock related puns. I don't know much about geology, too much like Ogres.

It's something Google pushed for a bit (like they made it into the Android base to pretty much reject SD cards, with them suggesting you use cloud services...say like Google Drive and Google Music...). Samsung was actually quite resistant to it and for ages had been only company really doing it across all their phones. I believe reason for removal in the S6 and Note 5 is due to the new unibody build, since it's sealed shut there's no way to get an SD card in. Thankfully Google have reverted how they deal with SD cards in Android, so might see a bit of roll out. Especially with many phone makers not really pushing for increased internal sizes, and 4G rollout not being super splended (or much higher caps)

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-34992032 After voting, we're now at war in Syria. No long term plan other than shoot it enough times and it'll all work out....somehow. Already have several nations doing much the same, I can't see us adding anything to it other than further confusion and friendly-fire and such. Could instead looking into their source of funding, the nations that arm them, the cultural power they have by painting us as muslim-hating warmongerers, and maybe not cheering when we choose to go to war.

I'm amazed Obama doesn't have some kind of pre-recorded message and he just hits play when this happens. This guy has been putting together all the tweets from senators and such that have "thoughts and prayers" with victims, and how much they got paid by the NRA: https://twitter.com/igorvolsky My thoughts on it are well known. Largely with Americans to resolve. I unfortunately don't even know most you guys IRL names, so if anything was to happen we'd never know :/ Pt 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9UFyNy-rw4

What the fuck are they doing with this movie? "If I wanted it you'd be dead already". This is Superman right? edit: oh it also has a major spoiler for the film too. One of which isn't much of a surprise(turns out they become BFFs) but the other on who the ultimate bad is is quite the spoiler...and way too early for him tbh. edit2: And if you're not too put off by spoilers, this trailer basically confirms much of a leaked storyline from 5 months ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/movies/comments/3c5kmi/potential_spoilers_a_detailed_plot_of_batman_v?sort=top

It was part of reason I ditched going with Note for new phone n went with Moto X Style.

Cos: 1. you have to start somewhere 2. Spotify decided I'd like Dirty Old Town this week.
-
Possibly. Anyway as promised here's some glimpses from reading up in Empire. Less story spoilers more bit about some of the actors and such but I will spoiler wrap Also the map (someone elses scan)
-
Probably best in the run up to me more conscious of spoilers. That said I do disagree on Snoke being Lukes Step-Father.

Whoops. Didn't fill that bit in. Corrected.

Steam ID: deanbmmv, UK General criteria: Something shortish I'd guess, which'll run counter to what I'll post below. Just aware I can struggle to end many longer games though I do heavily enjoy them. Something singular and straight forward, like I guess Dishonered would be cool. What are your favourite genres? Action/RPG/puzzle/Open-world stuff. What are your favourite games? Final Fantasy IX would be a biggy. I like puzzle game type things (I'm terrible for skinner box mobile games). Witcher 3 was pretty great. Deus Ex is neat. Stanley Parable was kinda unexpected neatness but I've played similar games and they've fallen short. Are you looking for any non-Steam gifts? Not hugely. I've a PS4 but it's region locked so I'd guess kinda balls. No Android gifting either which sucks cos there's a few stuff on there I'm interested. Will you take games not on your wishlist? I you think it'd be a good fit, there's like billions of games on Steam now and I do struggle to look through n see if there's anything I might find interesting. Any other information you think relevant? I had to spell check Ethan's example post. Also here's my Darkadia since I might own games on other platforms/not-Steam. I do need to update it though, it currently says I'm playing AC:Unity: http://darkadia.com/member/deanbmmv

Apparently it makes your BO smell nice too. Which is weird. Also good anti-bacterial. I took to chewing some when I had some issues with my tooth a few years back.

So I've been reading the Empire stuff for this, and will do a longer write up later when home, just some of the cool stuff from the various interviews given. But on story itself two sort of "spoilers" have cropped up in the Empire stuff namely: Minor character reveal: KOTOR stuff: Force Awakens stuff:

Yeah it's kind of annoying there's two shows about the same thing but with two different storylines and two different styles. Oh yeah totally wanted to share this. Terry Gilliam Presents: Star Wars: The Farce Awakens http://i.imgur.com/xhzThih.gifv (potentially best viewed in its own tab: http://i.imgur.com/xhzThih.gifv)

I'd guess looking at that list linked that it's sort of intentionally done. Some of those have multiple series out of order which wouldn't be a network screw up (like Fringe Fox put an episode in the wrong order and you're like "but that side character got shot and killed a few episodes prior!". Which is a very Fox thing to do *coughfireflycough*). No clone wars on UK Netflix though (and yes I know Hola but it's hit n miss, decided to stop working midway through my watching Better Off Ted)
