The hero helmets featured it too though. The mouth/nose is grilled, so having the flat blue stripes/stickers was a conscious design choice not a production limitation. edit: I'm happy to just agree to disagree btw. I like all the helmets and each have their own touches for their time.

Well duh. Took you guys couple centuries to work that one out instead of throwing it in the sea. Star Wars: The Ewok Awakens edit: or Star Wars: The Fucking Article. edit 2: I wonder if this film/trilogy will cover the fact that Luke n Leia's grandfather is the living Force. The subtitling implies it might.

Just got Marshmallow update. Not noticed any major changes apart for new app opening animation (which I really disliked to swapped out). There's the Google On Tap thing but not had much chance to play with that much. I think most stuff is under the hood.

Yeah it'll be a PC release too. Sony specifically said it'll be PS4 "console exclusive". Sony extremely open to PS4/Vita/PC releases at the moment (more so than MS, who you know own both Windows and Xbox...). Sony are giving a pretty big push on No Man's Sky which is coming out for both as an example.

Sparrow racing is like a poor mans Wipeout, but it's pretty serviceable. My only major issue is that on one of the tracks there's foliage n stuff in the way which if you go to close to it has a habit of making your sparrow go all funky until the game catches up and applies damage to you and kills you. Only happens in the racing on the one track (I think venus), never had the same issue in main game (though Moon has plenty of "fun" spots where it's not clear your sparrow shouldn't go until it pops up with "5...4...3...2...1" and kills you from "misadventure" (hence my complaint other day on lack of any usable map in-game). Had to google what Radiance did (which "what does Radiance actually do?" is the second result for "Radiance destiny") and once I did it got much more useful. I hadn't noticed it had vastly increased my recharge on grenades n melee. On that front, I'm now lvl 30 and starting to get drops that are fairly similar in Light level, but varying Dis/Int/Str between them so I've started getting PvP n PvE builds now too (mainly use scout in PvE and grenades so stuff that improves n reduces cooldown on those, and auto-rifle n fist n super in PvP so stuff to cooldown those).

The quality is just a side effect of time, which is why it isn't a cheap-looking glossy plastic made from three pieces of vacuum formed plastic. I'm talking about the actual detailing. edit: Colleague shared this with me: https://lightsaber.withgoogle.com/ I found it to not be very sensitive for the phone side in the whole "move phone right/left to deflect" stuff but might give another spin later.
-
Generally yeah, but that's a pretty low benchmark, you'll be wanting to upgrade again before long.
-
Well the older ones literally have stickers on the side for vents for one. The newer one the mouth/nosepiece has like a sort of gripped diamond texture to it. There's the pretty subtle seems around the edge, which kinda remove the whole "vacuum molded in a single chunk" look the older models had. And it has the raised and slightly embossed cheekbone piece too. Also the eye pieces are shaped this time around rather than a sheet of plastic pushed in from the back. I would imagine the changes are largely made due to the crisper film quality we have these days (as previously discussed RE:"film resolution"), and since production of this kinda prop has vastly improved too (see discussion on fixing Vaders helmet in Revenge of the Sith). The older model is iconic, but the newer ones have their own silhouette without deviating so much that you can't see the root design (more so than the look of the Clone Tropper helmets in the prequels)

I think it's a bit extreme that resorting to violence is a failure. I'd say it represents a pretty limited viewpoint. I would say that Jedi shouldn't resort to pre-emptive violence, but reactionary defensive violence would be fine. For example Sikhs carry the Kirpan in order to defence, much in same way Jedi carry a lightsaber. They're not non-violent buddhists, they're "the guardians of peace". As for the nudging events, that's pretty much what the Sith did in order to make the Empire. The Emperor was directly involved in only one fight and that was against Yoda, the Jedi Master of the time and the largest threat to his plans, otherwise he made other people fight for him or set up dominoes to get himself in a position of power. @Ethan: I like the new designs. They're nice and modern and have an absolutely brilliant silhouette. Also there's more detailing in them than the OT Stormtrooper helmets....
-
Yeah it's all well n good saying they shouldn't use violence, but what other force skills are there available that you think would be used in conflict? Only passive ability Yoda really has is the ability to foresee the future and to not completely die when killed. (also from a film sense it'd be a PITA to film like them standing across room from each other looking like they're shitting themselves as they use the force against each other in some astral-plane type way)

http://www.viralforest.com/watch-1000-years-european-borders-change/ It's Dailymotion so I can't embed it. But pretty cool showing of the various changes to borders in Europe over the last millennia. UK is largely unmoving You can kinda see why Germany is the root of both World Wars when you see how much it shifts about. Oh n mute the music, it's a bit overly dramatic. Talking of mute here's a girl completely forgetting the actions while doing the Christmas play: http://i.imgur.com/9H7s0CG.gifv (nah she's signing to parents)

So catching up on the VR stuff "Jakku Spy", BB-8 has significantly better holo tech over R2-D2 (also cool spider-man powers) That's if it's canon mind

Thursday 7pm. Trying to decided if I want to go home, grab snack, then head back to down, or not tempt fate n go into town after work n grab food there. Just means an hour n half to kill.

I'd say go with a 960 if it's in your budget. I'm on a 760 at the moment, and likely looking to do an upgrade later next year. I'm not super into the cards at the moment but I think the new gen is due pretty soon, which'll drop the cost of the 9-series.
-
Me the other day: Be aware that the premier is Monday and reviews on Wednesday so there'll be leaks before the public releases Me today: God fucking dammit Present Dean, why didn't you listen to the wise Past Dean?

So yeah, enjoyed my playthrough of Fallout 4, but it's super clear the quests are pretty damn thin on the ground compared to the previous games. I imagine/hope that it'll expand in future DLC but so many of the quests in the game are radiant quests and not very well coded at that ("raiders on our doorstep...incidentally our doorstep is way out near the Glowing Sea"). Much of the quests are shooty-shooty with very little chance to make use of your skills throughout apart from Charisma checks now n then (and one use of Intelligence for the USS Constitution check) Loads of unused places, the Combat Zone is a big one for myself and others. It's just a shooting gallery when it could have been the Fallout 4 Arena. The S-E swamp is largely unused too for quests and such (might be the case that companions have stuff there but not used all the companions cos STRONG BORED!). I kinda hope Bethesda weren't hoping the Settlement building and Radiant quests would do for fleshing stuff out. Game is mechanically superior to Fallout 3, as you'd hope it would be. But quest wise it's sorely lacking, especially if you put it up against New Vegas too (and a shame we're unlikely to see Obsidian work in the Fallout world again). Really it's a major problem with having a voiced PC. If it was unvoiced it'd be much greater freedom in responses, and better modding down the line (gonna be kinda hard to do workable story mods in FO4)

oh god, it's kinda long, but the pay off at the end. The expressions.

Screenplay by Simon Pegg, and it seems like that might be quite prevalent. Doubling down on the Beastie Boys Paradox too. Also TIL that next year is the 50th anniversary. Aww, cute wittle scifi baby.

That'd be a fair comparison if easter wasn't pre-gregorian and we didn't hate it too. Our bank holidays move around, but we don't release things then (cos they're usually Mondays. Good Friday being the odd one). You don't get to rule most of the world by being disorganised with simple things like dates

O' Christmas Cat, O' Christmas Cat.

If they used a calender then none of them would be seeing Star Wars until the 12th of Hexteencember 2015. But yeah, if you're making a film with an international release, and putting the trailer up on the internet then put a usable functional date with with the day, the month (in words) and year in the trailer. Going "05-06-16" sucks (could be May or June) but at least it's more to go on than a US only holiday. I think over here only get a day on if it's a Boxing Day film and that would only be on busses and bus stops which would only be seen over here.

I heard he's wanting to stay out of sci-fi and sequels for a while. Which is understandable given his last sci-fi film was alongside Jayden.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ubisoft.mightandmagic.clashofheroes Might & Magic Clash of Heroes is 10p. Pretty worth that. No IAP, several hours of solid play.
