There's "modest" and then there's a dog without a single scrap of fur. Sure don't stick in Hairworks type stuff, but at least basic fur surely. It's an 8th gen game after all. And I'd guess the dog will be joining you for a while. Be weird to be constantly followed around but a bunch of flat polygons. It's not like there's a sliding rule of "better graphics" "better RPG" cos if there is then I'm currently playing a game that bent the ruler into a quoit.

The trailer. Site is still kinda dead. Loving the fur on that dog. /s

So apparently the right combination of potions and abilities/perks set up this ends up a thing: http://gfycat.com/SplendidAltruisticEstuarinecrocodile

Some of these are insane. I thought most of Gotham was minature I can see why a lot of modern sets look like this:

Teaser for a new Pixar title.

Just a couple hours behind My main hope with this is it's not "Fallout 4" but a "Falout: Subtitle". I liked the New Vegas name. I think going past 3 starts to suck for naming.

https://twitter.com/FF25TH_JP/status/605707631794094080 It has been announced, more info coming soon. Those that played it; any good? Best I'm aware main reason folks picked it up was for the FFXV demo.

Yeah, not hit yet. It is now Tuesday in the UK. Maybe it'll hit Monday in America times, who knows. But looking like they won't hit their Monday slot.

That's like a fortnight away, I'm sure it can wait that long.

Not really sure I'd count "developer tried to get publisher to green light it" as the starting point, it's himself that gives the 3.5 year date to EG (rather than 9 years). And assuming 2K did greenlight it based on negative reaction to XCOM...that'd be EU being made as a reaction to XCOM

I grabbed the 40% off Batman deal to get Batm:Arkh Knig.

Huh seems it is. That's weird. I don't think the 360 ever got a DirectX update. edit-ish: Yeah it was a DX9 spin-off on 360. Can't imagine why they'd bother, not like the GPU is going to get magically replaced with a newer GPU (and Xbox One already runs Mantle, which is what DX12 pulls a lot from) edit proper: In fact it's more likely a bit of marketing boomf. It's fairly easy to go *twiddles a couple numbers on the Xbox One which I don't think end-users could even see anyway* "and now it has Direct X 12!"

I brought up BE as that is Firaxis' last game, so if they didn't have multiple teams in the studio that'd be their quickest turn around possible on the game, with working straight from XCOM EU (3 years ago) being the longest turn around. It'd also be insane to think there's not some internal overlap in teams. Maybe it wasn't quick, but it was certainly developed after "XCOM" the shooter, I think folks forget how long that was in development, the game was pretty much completely scrapped, re-made n re-branded after its initial reveal. I carry on forgetting how terrible Polygon layout is. Can't just put shit in a row to read, have to throw shit all over the place n slap stupid bespoke design on articles. I ended up loading Wiki n jumping to the EG article given which makes it much clearer it started 3.5yrs prior March '12, which'd make it around 2009, a few years into "XCOM" development.

They've been doing PC Final Fantasy games for a while. Apart from Lighting Returns* the last 3 FF games are on PC, so Type-0 n FFXV aren't too much of a stretch. They carry on showing that DirectX12 demo too, which wouldn't make too much sense if they were only making an engine for console (Xbox One is DX11 n PS4 is OpenGL. Win 10, n likely Win 8, are DX12) *Which is the only FFXIII title I'm yet to play and it's meant to have been out in March. Kinda annoyed cos I'd seen it quite cheap a few months back for PS3.

The last one came out 3 years ago, Beyond Earth was Firaxis' last game and that was 7 months ago, and will be over a year once November arrives. First XCOM from them was a relatively quick game too (mainly pumped out to sate XCOM fans that weren't keen on The Bureau (which was taking ages to develop)

AFAIK the subscription rumours are/were just that. Also for cost Windows is usually at a price point lower than the basic Office version and Office 365 is £80 a year.

I'd say the main things to dismantle are the hides, they're worth an alright amount I guess (to the point early game hunting might be an option for initial spurt of cash) but the big thing is they take up a surprising amount of weight. I'd picked up over a dozen horse hides from somewhere and at the time they accounted for nearly a quarter of the space in my bag. Crafting components are much lighter (and can be used for flexing, especially where most hides make leather objects). Oh except "white" hides, they tend to fetch a fair bit. I don't think I've ever gotten any directly from bears/wolves, more in looting stuff but yeah they're worth a fair bit more than other hides but breakdown much the same. Oh monster stuff too, like where it's named. e.g "wraith eye" or whatever tends to need to be broken down to get the generic "monster eye" n whatever else, since so far I've not seen named body parts be in any alchemy or crafting recipes apart from the mutagens. But given the size stuff, and I think cost wise a "wyvern carapace" is worth more than "monster hide" I keep them as is until I need them (usually while at a blacksmiths too, so only a few tabs across to dismantle what I need, then pop back and made sword of stabbing +9% igni or whatever). Sword wise, anything without stats or alt weapons that aren't silver, usually from mobs such as soldiers, bandits etc, are usually worth just selling on. I've never had to break any down since I get plenty of iron n leather from other means (see the above on hides). I think for some of the shiny Relic n Magic stuff you get in chests and from quests (my fave so far being essentially a very very fancy mythical cheese knife), it's worth breaking down for like emerald dust and such. You know I'm typing this up and I realise say a couple feet from me is a game guide I got for b'day*. Huh, there's a section for "carnal knowledge", the usual: Triss, Yennefer, etc. But...Weavess?.... Oh n carry weight I'm on 130 atm**, and I'm to hear it can go higher still. I imagine something from Skellige will be bigger. * I've flicked through, but only for quests I've done that had obvious "this could go one of either ways". So won't be spoiling on stuff. **

I find with armour and such it's a case of repairing between missions, when your back in town selling your wares nip to the blacksmith (need to anyway to offload scrap weapons) and get em repaired. Though I guess early on money is a bit of a pain, it starts to flow quite freely around lvl 7 onwards ish (you can maybe make a mad dash on Roach going the long way around to get to Novigrad n can convert florens to crowns for your first big boost. I got about 1,500 from that first time)

A truck full of Splatoon amiboos was stolen in the UK. So i imagine value will jump a fair bit.
