  1. You guys don't have plimsols, the beep test and Mr Men? http://www.buzzfeed.com/alexfinnis/americans-react-to-british-childhood#.pkazmgnrKx Also totally missing out on Bernard's Watch. Everyone wanted that as a kid. Oh for the brits, Chuckle Brothers did a rap last year. For the americans/canadians: It's not quite the Wurzels.
  2. Since this is more than likely gonna be multi-plat* I realised today this'll be the second time that FFVII has skipped Nintendo due to tech limitations *I think their last exclusive was FFXII on the PS2. Unless maybe counting the non-mainline portable games.
  3. Not long back from Jurassic World. It does what it says on the tin. Theme park with dinosaurs Man does what man is not meant to do!! Dinosaurs escape Dinosaurs eat people People try to stop dinosaurs eating people Dinosaurs eat more people. T-Rex Roar. Soaring John Williams soundtrack. (as if your inner kid doesn't step out for a peek at the film while this is playing: My main complaints would be that since it was pointed out, yeah it's pretty heavy on the Samsungasaur and Tyrannosaurus Benz. Also it tries to fit stupid family drama into a film about dinosaurs. Divorce lawyers didn't exist 65million years ago. Lawyers are for t-rex fodder. Like that whole segment could have been left out. It was a bit heavy on the "man cannot control nature" and "GMO is bad" n "corporations/number crunchers are bad" (which is weird given the product placement). I think there was another one in their. I guess "biological weapons are bad" but I'd kind of hope we had other things to tell us that. Oh yeah I quite enjoyed the Oh also enjoyed the kid near the front shitting himself when the first Dino popped up. I think everyone in the cinema did. It's the reaction you want.
  4. Heh, I'm only to Series three but we have monday Game of Throne chats at work and one of us is a book reader so: edit: Apparently if you put R in brackets you find out that while they were mad, the Targareyns® were really into their IP laws.
  5. Oh it's worth noting the "you're a god" is cos for parts of it you're Ciri, and she's When fighting as Geralt I found it challenging enough and I was lvl 35 for the end. I think it scales up with you (no level recommendation is given for the Final Preperations quest lines)
  6. Anyone else with much prettier Tapatalk notifications of late?

I only just turned on my Tapatalk notifications.

  7. Figure of interest to someone maybe. Find it humours that their E3 conference had such mind blowing exclusives no one posted about anything such as the new Gears or what not in this sub-forum.
  8. Lords of Waterdeep is a fave of my housemate, but doesn't quite tickle the right spots for me. Too much moving random cubes around n kind of a pain to build up the right cubes (and on top of that it's usually played with at least two people that've played it a lot n know all the nooks n crannies). I quite enjoy Legendary, shame housemate sold his copies off. I'd have picked up, but combined it was £100 and I don't enjoy it that much (especially as that include the Villians version. I prefer the mat, but dislike the mechanic changes)
  9. Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt. I can likely tear apart chunks of the game, but for the most part it was great. Practically zilch fatigue throughout the game, which normally sets in a few days with RPGs and usually leads to a game 70% done through the main store. Whereas I've been playing Witcher 3 for about 3 weeks with next to no stops between. Solid game, be interesting to see if anything draws from it in the coming years (and certainly interesting to see how Cyberpunk 2077 will turn out cos that's right near top of the list now). Just some great levels of detail, really nice world they've built up, nice mix of seriousness and humour, great characters, and a nice wrap up to the series. If I feel up to it I might post something in the Witcher thread tearing apart all the little minor issues with it that could do with being fixed. But I think it's great playing it, knowing that they're there and finding the good so vastly outweighs the minor imperfections. Strongly recommend.
  10. Ah man, the ending has a bit of "you're practically a god, go n hack things up, have fun" which I've enjoyed in a few games of late (IIRC Kingdoms of Amalur does it). Still gives you a proper boss battle(s) when you're playing the guy that isn't practically a god mind.
  11. It's worth pointing out he's trying to embed a playlist, which doesn't work with both the above tips. Added what I assume is what he was wanting to embed.
  12. Pele: Battlefront. Minions: Battlefront Plants vs Zombies: Battlefront Mass Effect: Battlefront Need for Speed: Battlefront Mirrors Edge: Battlefront
  13. I like they've got a thing pop up with "Star Wars Battlefront in 35 Minutes"
  14. I don't think they've proper announced that, just a wee bit at the start of the show. That or they took 3 minutes announcing it.
  15. I came in a bit late btw. I think that was it for things I missed out.
  16. Early Access. *picks mic back up again* Also I think apart from the gameplay already shown yesterday for Fallout, they've not had much in the way of gameplay, just CG videos.
  17. Pretty handy: Countdown timer:http://www.e3countdown.com/ recaps of trailers n such: http://e3recap.com/
  18. It's in Karnaca, Corvos home in the Mediterranean equivalent (in that Dunwall was London-ish) http://www.gamespot.com/articles/dishonored-2-lets-you-choose-between-two-playable-/1100-6428091/ Apparently there was some post-trailer chit chat from the devs where the "one or the other " came from and the locale.
  19. Gameplay video. Oh god do the faces still look dead n animations are funky but this is a bethesda fallout game. Pretty sure that's Troy Baker too. Not in the above but sounds like you can craft buildings too which'll be interesting element I guess. edit: But the folks of the internet provide
  20. Hype gained. edit: So reading up on this it seems you play as Corvo or Emily, and that's it for the whole game. So maybe one of them is offed at the start? Interesting choice to go with, I know some folks are "but in my game Emily died" but it's clear with a game like this the bad ending won't be the canonical ending.
  21. See I've not read the books but I know that "The Last Wish" is this however becomes much more flexible in the game since
  22. I'd say it's quite nice, means you can go take a wee break from going through the main campaign to go n hack off a monsters head, or find some long lost witcher garments n such.
  23. I've seen two entire whales. They beached though. I imagine the tail is just for effect and not an actual giant wale under the surface you can hack at and instantly get burdened with it brain or something.
  24. This guy gets stung and rates and reviews the pain: http://imgur.com/gallery/0ENTp
  25. I've picked up that Legend of Korra game. For the price I'd say that negates any of the length issues the game has been knocked for.
