Avengers wasn't really "mindless". It's not a black n white of deep or mindless. For one it pulled of having multiple protagonists pretty well.
-
That would be the law itself, not the reason why it is still around centuries later. Not like anyone follows it properly anyway. Just the "bear arms" bit. Don't see any militias maintaining security or freedoms.
-
It's a premier, there's not much to go on for inspiration than if it was done a couple weeks in. If was to be a stadium blown up then sure, but apart from the fateful mugging I don't think batman series has much to go on for inspiring mass shooting at a cinema (batman himself is pretty opposed to guns)
-
Why do guys still have laws that allow people to own guns? usnews.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2012/07/20/12850048-14-shot-dead-at-dark-knight-rises-screening-in-aurora-colorado

Up to now the metro theme has been pretty windows-8 centric. It debuts on win 8, up until office 2013 it hadn't been seen on any prior windows versions, nor have MS made any notion that they'll be updating prior windows versions to the metro theme(in fact: source on your statement saying otherwise?). It is very much a windows 8 theme.
-
I'm not assuming anything, it is OS specific. XP = Luna, Vista & Win 7 = Aero, Win 8 = Metro. Btw do you have shares, or family members or whatever in Microsoft. Just you get awfully touchy on folks dissing Metro.
-
Most programs do use the OS theme though, as opposed to baking in the theme from the current OS. Otherwise we'd probably still have a ton of fisher price/luna theme programs. But we don't, install old program on new OS, get the new OS themeing. I'm not refusing to see the Zune screenshot, just I'd already mentioned and dismissed the bunch of metro themed devices the E&D dept came up with that have bot all to do with the Windows or Office depts at MS. Maybe a shot of office 2007 running on xp with aero instead of luna would be more relevant, except up till now the office team had stuck to using non-os version specific elements. E&D, the guys that have repeatedly overhauled the 360 ui and often for the worse, are hardly the guys to point to and go; "look, they didn't follow MS design guidelines!".
-
Third party stuff like Metrotwit. The default inbuilt theme is Aero. Not really best practice of MS, especially the office/windows dept, to be back porting windows themes into older OSes when they have a framework in place.

I know what Metro is. As I stated though, Office 2013 is not coming to zune, or win phone, or (as I forgot first time around) xbox, it is coming to windows 8 and Windows 7. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Aero

I don't do podcasts so don't know if it was referenced though killing joke is one of the origin stories.

He used rotten tomatoes as an example of folks Bashing low reviews even if they've not played/seen it, in this case TDKR. I do agree rotten tomatoes is a decent aggregation system.
-
And is office 2013 coming to zune or windows phone? No, it's windows 8 n windows 7. Only one of those is metro and the other is aero.
-
Because Windows 7 is Aero, whereas Metro is the Win 8 theme.

http://windowsteamblog.com/windows/b/bloggingwindows/archive/2012/07/18/windows-8-will-be-available-on.aspx Arriving 26th October. Oh n since it's not really worth its own thread; Office 2013 preview release http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/officepreview Sports the new Metro look, but only the desktop side of metro, I've yet to load it up myself so unsure if it goes Aero on Win7.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sketchbook Express was really nice, so got the full version. Nice to be doodling again(even if I'm a tad pants)

Ah. I didn't care for the bundle so never clicked through. Most times bundles reductions apply only to the bundle as a whole, the games within being lower percentage off.

Killing Joke was super short. I was expecting something watchmen-ish, but it was over in a flash. Good, sure, but short. Now onto joss whedons astonishing X-men. So far, so good.

Please tell me it wasn't £2 or less. I'm somewhat curious of stacking. Though amular/cheap sims(fat chance) is my main lookout.

The Decline of the Japanese Gaming Industry
deanb replied to Strangelove's topic in General Gaming Chat
http://www.computerandvideogames.com/358437/interviews/shinji-mikami-interview-to-be-told-japanese-games-suck-is-a-bit-harsh/ "When I was making Resident Evil 4, Capcom's non-Japanese staff noticed that people overseas were writing that Japanese games suck, and they got upset. But the game we were making didn't suck at all, so it didn't bother me." -
Stacking was on sale?

Kopi luwak. Mmmm. Oh as far as tea goes, depends where I am. Gran has Yorkshire Tea, my mum has tetleys I think. I've a box of twinnings Earl grey and english breakfast as well as liptons lemon & ginger. Had some red bush some point too, though that's something once a week at most.

I'm guessing it's an English vs English thing that you don't have milk on the list? I started having my tea n coffee black about a year back. I wish more folks did, make it so much easier doing a round of drinks if you only need to know how much sugar(or sweetner) they have. As for coffee I get smooth/gold types. Hate the basic nescafe stuff my dad manages to have.

joystiq.com/2012/07/16/influential-indies-on-the-brouhaha-around-ouya/#continued Bunch of responses from indies on Ouya. Cautiously optimistic in general. Mainly concerned with lack of curation.
