I'd be tempted to grab if folks are up for it somepoint.
-
I'm aware it's started, just not had the time to sit down n get watching it, hopefully by end of this week.
-
Kinda knew it was coming given he's revealed as being in the Christmas special. Had a thought: it'd be kinda funny if The Doctor regenerated into Michelle Gomez (Missy).

Assassins Creed: Syndicate I quite like the twin thing going on, though so far not entirely seeing what the difference is between them(I know there's meant to be one but as best I can tell their skill trees are pretty much the same), mainly playing as Evie. Some fun missions, not totally sold on the carriage stuff so far but neat way to get around (the train is super cool though). First of the games so far where wearing the original Altair/Ezio white outfits is really out of place Still early days at the moment for me, just started Sequence 4 (so I've got the train, unlocked Whitechapel) Final Fantasy XV: Empires This is that mobile game doing the rounds, figured I'd give it a shake. Seems a bit shit tbh, not really much, if anything, tied in with FFXV beyond having Noctis in it and a couple chocobo sprites going around. A bit disappointing given the likes of Brave Exvius, Mobius n Dimensions as S-Es other original mobile FF offerings (also have the FF1-FFIX & Tactics ported over too). Given this whole "FFXV Universe" thing I figured it'd be more along the lines of what they've got with the various FFVII games, and Ivalice Alliance stuff. Steam Link Not a game per se. Mainly just set it up and gave it a small spin. Loaded up Fallout 4, it ran n such but I forgot the controller support for FO4 is a bit subpar. Though it also ran quite clunkily, which is probably why the "Quick Start" instructions (which are super slim n shitty and just shows how to plug the thing in*) has both options with either the PC wired or the Steam Link wired. *the shitty "Quick Start" fails to mention the bit where you go into your Steam settings and enable streaming and set that stuff up. It also doesn't include any instructions on setting up bluetooth devices so that's something for me to figure at some point.

Certainly one of the bigger mods out there that's sure to bring a touch of nostalgia to come of you (Oblivion is over a decade old at this point). This version doesn't run on the enhanced edition, but apparently future versions (and future areas of Oblivion and beyond) will be only running on the enhanced edition (I imagine due to the RAM bonus) http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/84946/?

Worth noting the "not seeming cluttered" is likely mainly down to me not long moving here I'm sure I'll manage a bit of clutter in time. It's not a very deep space though, so I'm a bit limited on that front. Because my "desk" is built into the wall there's also no place for tunnelling cables below. My GPU is a GTX 760. EVGA Windforce iirc (though Google says Windforce is a Gigabyte thing so maybe I've got that, it has been a while). Eitherway it's not exactly high end, I only game on the one screen, they're all physically different sizes so it somewhat forces my hand there (though I do use it multi-monitor for like video editing stuff). Should note I'd usually have them all horizontal, but given spacing this makes sense. It's a really old monitor (like it might be a decade now) and it's done well but the viewing angles on it are crap except straight on so as a vertical limited-use thing it's fine.

Yeah, can probably do four if I had a DisplayPort monitor. Vertical makes use of the space I have, can use it for documents and articles.

30th July for PICKLE RICK!

Always a fan of architectural projection. This is done quite well. Oh btw this game is now kinda free to play up to a certain (And iirc somewhat generous) level cap. So worth checking out.

I was gonna post the trailer and notice GOH had. You know if there's a gap of 10 days from your last post you're totally allowed to double post Kinda useful in this case since it's not like edits bring the post back up to unread. But yes it looks kinda wank and Iwan is really wasted on it.

Baby Driver It's not entirely what I expected, though not sure I'd be able to put my finger exactly on it but I guess a certain type of Edgar Wright type film. It does however still have a lot of noticeable flourishes of his such as the humour and the attention to detail. Which for this film centres around the sound design, from the tinnitus opening, to matching action (both in motions and bullets), and a decent choice of songs. Not a GotG Vol 1 by any means but decent. Actors were all great for their roles and great tension in the unpredictability of some of the gang; they're hardened criminals who will get the job done. So while there is humour and charm, there is also a fair bit of tension too. I quite liked the deaf foster parent as a side character, not exactly a common role you'll see in a film and I think helped you lean more positive on Babys actions than his GF does. Also the ending Was pretty good to have.

This should be pretty good, especially given the background of Jackman.

This looks better than I'd initially expected. Mainly I'd been put off by the "it hasn't got the boardgame" but it's covered in like the first few seconds...at which point a bit of nostalgia kicks in.

the googly eyes are meant to be the only part.

I just haven't had the opportunity to play much new boardgames of late tbh. Boardgame sessions I have had with people it's usually been me providing the games so it's older stuff. Though I've got my Homefront game unplayed so one day I guess I'll get that done. I have played Food Chain Magnate some time ago, my main memory of it was that it was absolutely stonkingly massive game. Bigger that Firefly in tablespace needed. I'd say if you're designing a boardgame make sure it'll fit on a standard Ikea table. If it overflows on that you'll find your player base drastically reduced. Can't remember too much on the mechanics, but yeah it was a pain to keep track of everything, and you do usually end up focusing on the one food type and if that goes tits up you're kinda screwed. I wouldn't say it's a game where you don't find the winner until the end, you usually have a good idea by midgame. Why I quite like Abyss, usually you're all within 10 points of each other and the layers to the scoring means that you can't really work out who might be in the lead until the end.

I want them busts. Shame I've not got a spare $199 laying around.

Huh. I've not had any issues with FFIX aside from controller support but that's not an issue any more (thankfully, cos using a 360 pad for a psone game felt like something the geneva convention forbids). Hope you don't have further issues cos it is a pretty swell game. And yeah the steampunkish world is pretty cool. And holy shit to have played HL2 and Ep1 but not Episode 2, dang. Probs worth you going through the first two for a refresher mind (I only partially remember in what order things happen in HL2. I think Episode 2 has that cool bit with Dog and a Strider). Anywho I went into town for more practical things but spotted this for cheaper than I've seen anywhere else so treat myself: Also a dirt cheap mouse may since it turns out the surface I'm on doesn't play well with mice.

*stoppers my bottle of chianti*

Yeah MJ has some pretty sweet games. I really should dive back into Dragons Dogma (btw if you have me on Steam you should be able to get my Pawn. She's great, she just picks folks up n throws them away). FLD there picking up some of Newcastle's finest. @TheMightyEthan I'll probably be hooking my Link up with a DS4, and/or a keyboard & mouse.
-
Sure. Have chatted about this with friends, and the main thing we said that'd make it possible is that factory grown meat stuff since largely there would be zilch ethical concerns. It massively opens up the door to all kinds of foods given you can make the meat without having to kill the animal. Ultimately it's meant to be akin to pork though so not sure it'd be some super interesting meat to eat (kangaroo is pretty different to your usual beef/chicken/pork options for example).
-
I have picked up a Steam Link. They're on sale at GAME and combined with my store credit it's £9 which isn't too bad. Though I'm moving, so hopefully it'll land at my mums sometime within the next few days.

Ron Howard to direct. Lando: "He said his name was Han Solo" RH VO: "Hey, that's the name of the film!" And that's why you leave a note!

Nyko are first to announce a third party dock. It however doesn't have any USB support. https://nyko.com/collections/switch/products/portable-docking-kit-for-nintendo-switch I'm to understand it is however substantially cheaper than the regular dock (and hey it's only the base bit so unlikely to scratch your screen).
