  1. Just a minor reminder but posts have an edit button on them for when you have more thoughts a few minutes later :P

  2. Also there's a Special Edition like the first with different cover (as seen in above image) that does the whole 3D effect thing, swapping between good n bad Cole, and some in-game stuff.
  3. Field Runners is a good small game. Also PSone games, they're all pretty awesome. Also I'm sure there was a thread like this before
  4. So I mentioned I was playing FFIV on DS and Shadow mentioned he played it to death on original SNES release. I pointed out we didn't get that "even as FFII". So here is a chronological release of Final Fantasy games in Europe (Officially, obviously nothing stopping folks importing consoles and games. Apart from PAL/NTSC) 1997 - Final Fantasy VII on PSX 1998 1999 - Final Fantasy VIII on PSX 2000 2001 - Final Fantasy IX on PSX 2002 - Final Fantasy IV on PSX (Final Fantasy Anthology) - Final Fantasy V on PSX (Final Fantasy Anthology) - Final Fantasy VI on PSX (on it's own) - Final Fantasy X on PS2 2003 - Final Fantasy I on PSX (Final Fantasy Origins) - Final Fantasy II on PSX (Final Fantasy Origins) 2004 - Final Fantasy XI on PC - Final Fantasy X-2 on PS2 2005 2006 2007 - Final Fantasy III on DS - Final Fantasy XII on PS2 2008 2009 2010 - Final Fantasy XIII on PS3/360. First time ever on simultaneous NA and EU release - Final Fantasy XIV on PC
  5. Why do the Welsh wear zipless trousers?
  6. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2066351/Random%20Files/voice.mp3 http://dl.dropbox.co...Files/Voice.ogg edit: This embeds MP3 files??!?!?!?!?! OMFG THAT'S AMAZING! No love for Ogg Vorbis.
  7. I think it's even less. I think it was still almost Prussia when WWI started.
  8. Oh I just called it a blob cos that's the shapes he'd made. But of course Wales is cool. We haven't put a wall up between Wales n England. And you guys make Dr Who. And the rain.
  9. It would be nice to think it was like that, but more often than not the games that come with the $60 price tag are shit quality console ports.
  10. Wales is a blob on the side btw. I don't think I mentioned that on Twitter.
  11. We gloss over most kings n queens too. Though we cover before Middle Ages. You guys not do much on the Tudors I take it? (You just mention Elizabeth, though I'm unsure if you mean this one or this one ) We do quite a bit on the Tudors. As for America: Got discovered, colonised (We mostly sent our OTT religious folks over), We had a little bit of a skirmish, you guys made a constitution, cowboys n indians a little bit, helped in WWI n WWII, lad-i-da, modern day. However I did 20th Century America for GCSE History, so I got a fair bit of a focus on that end of the deal: Protectionism, Boom, Wall Street Collapse, depression, prohibition, civil rights movement, communism/cold war, JFK, Space race, Vietnam..and then end of cold war.
  12. http://dl.dropbox.co...0218_190935.jpg My stab at doing US/NA. It's kind of stylized, so don't pay too much attention to the shapes. More the locations, names n maybe size, but I know Texas is way bigger than I've made it. New York is probably smaller. Also I'm aware I'm missing like 30 something states. Though a fair chunk are in the top corner and I don't have that small of a pencil. BTW we get taught about the US in History, not Geography(which is more about like weather, volcanoes n earth formation n such than where countries are) edit: UTAH!! I missed Utah. It's next to Nevada. Beyond the statue of the two men in the bottom of ..mumblenewvagasmumble
  13. Yeah, I'd feel silly just saying out words
  14. But is that fuck as in took, or fuck as in too
  15. No I think it was Activision strong arming them since a fair few folks used the fact Russia is sold dirt cheap copies of games (since Russia make like $60 a year.. Martin can fill you in on how much they make). Enterprising Russian then sell these dirt cheap keys onto rich, but tight, westerners like ourselves, for like $15. Thus depriving Bobby Kotick of his rightfully earned $60 game.
  16. Not everyone is on skype, and a recording can be shared for folks who want to listen rather than organising a single time for us all to be on and doing accents at each other.
  17. You know that sound you make when you watch a matador get kicked in the balls or something. ooohhh. Well it's H(kicked in the balls)f And I'll huff n I'll puff and I'll prance around town, is Rough. Do you just want to make a list of words you want us to say and I'll record them for you?
  18. Yeah I'm not like looking at it as a "oh wow must by" thing since I wasn't keen on Dead Rising, and I've seen no actual gameplay. If it was a movie, it'd be a good trailer. (which Phallus I'd suggest not looking at the trailer for visuals but the screenshots) I'm also against manufactured controversy, i.e sticking a kid in just for the sake of "OMG a kid is dead!" thing. But we'll see how that pans out. So yeah, gameplay video please.
  19. Though be aware that Valve have a nasty habit, though it was only on MW2 so probably Activision, of knocking your account off and removing the game if you buy a key through the Russian sites for use on a Steam game. So while it's legal, they can be dicks about it.
  20. Which is of course why console games cost $70. Because there's that extra $10 fee that is for selling at retail, that is of course not included in the $60 fee already.... And only a handful of games from a handful of publishers are charged this "Steam royalty" or retail fee whereas 95% of games don't have to pay it. (btw the word your looking for is distribution fee, royalties is normally what you get when you have creative input on the work. And the distribution fee on Steam I'd imagine to be much lower than that of retail since the profits for developers selling through Steam tend to be higher than retail.)
