  1. Darth Vader who got all his limbs chopped off and then was burned in lava...is not dead. Also Darth Sion of the KOTOR game who was killed many times and essentially decomposing...and yet for the most part was not dead. Jedi Master Qui Gon Jon, who was stabbed through the chest by Darth Maul is also not dead. Jedi Master Obi Wan Kenobi who was killed in a duel with Darth Vader is also not dead. Jedi Master Yoda who died of ripe old age is also not dead. Kylo Ren who took a normally fatal bowcaster bolt to the stomach also didn't die. The only canonically killed sith were either decapitated or thrown into a reactor. It would make sense that darksiders are hard to kill given they feed on pain and hatred.
  2. "Come back when he shags a dead pig, says jaded Britain"
  3. From my experience with the game all the DLC kind of stuff (I got one from the Ubi Rewards stuff), shows up under "Misc" along with like clothes from gangs n companies, and the stuff you buy from shops shows up under the shops category in your wardrobe. I had a few Bounties pop up and enjoyed doing them (and hey, sometimes when I didn't bother I still got the followers when they fucked up and crashed). The hacking stuff I disliked even in the first game. I'm just not particularly fond of that kind of play if I'm in an SP game. I understand technically it's pretty neat just not for me.
  4. I don't think that's a word. Hunt for the Wilderpeople Day 2. Yeah it's very good film. I think a thing that works really good with it is it isn't entirely a comedic film as I'd sort of expected, with some quite darker parts. I guess in retrospect one of them kind of had to happen. I quite liked Taika Waititis cameo in it. I'd say that and Bellas mocking of how fat Ricky is at the opening helped set the tone for the film (assuming you've not seen What We Do In the Shadows). I quite liked the bit when Ricky gets back the hut being raided by police and is: *sees swat police* "Ninjas!" *sees k9 unit* "Direwolves" *sees child welfare woman* "Child Welfare!" Totally something I'll be gushing about and recommending for a while. (that means you guys should go watch it too).
  5. So Watch_Dogs ness I quite liked it. I guess one of the biggest departures it has from the first game and other Ubi open world games is the lack of radio towers/camps etc before unlocking bits of the map. Which is somewhat welcome, it's not really something that'd make a huge chunk of sense in reality. The drones as mentioned before are a great addition. Somewhat bummed that you only have the one part of a mission with the spider thing cos it was awesome, and something that'd go great in a mini-game sort of thing, kinda of Saints Row style, but I guess that's a reason it's not in the rest of the game, doesn't really fit otherwise. But yeah it was great, even if it only took me a bit too long to realise I could go up walls so was a bit confused on achieving the goal of taking out the fire sprinklers. Charachters are all pretty fun and quite well done. Josh could have been done terribly by other studios, but here it was really well done. Wrench was the obvious stand out and shown as been the closest to Marcus amongst the group (and a decent mission focused around him). There was some clunkiness in it, mainly with some of the additions such as ScoutX which was a decent addition of sorts but I felt it was a bit hit and miss on - showing up when you were near somewhere - Actually acknowledging you're at the the place it says - Most of the people listed to photo are never there (at least weren't for me). Summoning vehicles was also a bit of a pain, very hit and miss on if the vehicle appeared near you. As discussed before the clothing options were amazing, really great broad range, and a nice mix of stores, loved the little promo top things spread throughout (kinda weird there wasn't one in the Ubi studio tbh, it makes the most sense of all). Oh and it's also another one to add in my bag of "Deans theory on Ubi games where the first kinda sucks but nails the concept, and the second onwards are much better". It does suck that most people don't adhere to this theory and skipped on WD2 (Though also part of that is most people skipped on games that month cos where was too damn many). Gracias Goh.
  6. I'd think the tracker is more for props than room objects. It does look a neat idea though, be interesting to see how it pans out since building up some kind of prop ecosystem would be nice to have and the tracker slightly negates the guitar hero issue in being sort of universal.
  7. heheh Worth grabbing it, plenty free games they've got on there that are worth checking out.
  8. Oh this is on my list, seen the trailer n it looks pretty great, and Helen O'Hara of Empire bangs on about it a fair bit too, and yeah Taika Waititi (which is making me quite excited for Thor 3 too). Sam Neill has been a bit off the radar of late as well (though IMDB says a fair bit of TV stuff), though hey two Taika Waititi movies in two years (he's gonna be in Thor 3 it seems, would be great if he's alongside Jeff Goldblum). Thing that sold me on the film was in the trailer with the wanted poster "'Faulkner is cauc-asian' - well, they got that wrong because you're obviously white." You know what, I think I'll make it todays film.
  9. If I had the kind of housing set-up that it'd be worth one, I'd totally splash out £20 for one. The headphone support I believe is entirely a thing with the DS4 dongle. I've got mine wired and as far as I can tell no audio pass through for it. I'd guess the DS4 dongle adds in the required drivers to show up as an audio device. Gotta love the amount of modern games with built in support for it though. About a year or so ago had to use the DS4xbox thing or whatever the program's called, to make it pretend to be a 360 pad, but most games now I get going and double bonus I even have the right buttons show up n stuff too, like the touchpad for the map in watch_dogs as an example.

See the above is defo not aimed at gamers (especially with the price tag, and using Quadro cards), the later I guess is given the support for g-sync which you won't really need for photoshop/video/coding work. I'd say it's still totally a "look what we can do" than a "look what we expect people to afford" kinda thing. Amazed no one has posted that 3 screen razer laptop, though I hear it has been stolen from the show floor so that's a thing. I guess with all those fancy features it didn't come with a basic kensington lock.
  11. Do you have the Amazon Underground app? It's seperate from the regular Amazon app since...well it sells apps which Play Store doesn't allow the regular Amazon app to do. You need to sideload it. I'll see if I can grab a link (need to open on a mobile) https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/feature.html?ie=UTF8&docId=1000854643&ref_=mas_surl_undrgrnd
  12. Watch_Dogs 2 Was a bit alright. I'll add more thoughts tomorrow, it's 11 here and I want to head to bed (let's me stew on it a bit too). Kinda pleased that I didn't fire a single shot throughout (except as Wrench near the end but you're kinda required too and it's not against people). Not to say I didn't kill a shit ton of people mind, explosive containers at least keep guards out of the game, shock panels they wake up a few minutes later. But yeah, more thoughts later.
  13. Yeah we have stuffed crust, we don't eat the pizzas arse end backwards though.
  14. Look we've had our issues on this side of the pond with leaders eating weirdly, but at least they don't eat their food the wrong way around http://i.imgur.com/ohuS4Oy.gifv And this isn't some paparazzi shot of him trying to eat it in a cafe, it looks like it's for an advert. Someone filmed him eating it this way and never went "err..Donald". You guys are fucked.
  15. Mean Girls The first film in my "cycle while watching a movie that's on my 'I have yet to watch this' list". Pretty good. Poor Lindsey Lohan, she crashed hard. Slightly pulls out a bit with "hey that's the janitor". But yeah a decent film, and does the whole "wildlife analogy" thing much better than Lucy did. I guess people worked out it was Reginas book and not Lohans, or I'm sure they'd be kinda pissed off with Lohan still. I feel the school bus was probably breaking a lot of laws though (usually over here most school areas are low speed areas and usually a ton of speed bumps around too). (p.s I amended the above post a little, even if no interest in watching Spectre at least check out that opening)
  16. I've got em showing up as free for me too (though I already have them). Maybe it's just Wales?
  17. Eh, I thought Death Note was a decent length, 60 is about right I feel with animes I've liked. Even if Death Note does drop off a bit in the final half (which I think in actual episodes is like the final third or quarter, but there's a distinct "part one" "Part two" in it).
  18. I'm fairly sure on the gating, I guess if you've actively gone out to unlock stuff (the double jump is the only one I have) you might have grabbed things earlier on, but for most part I've found vast majority of the research locks have been found around mission levels. I know what to look for, and most cases don't need hackervision on for it to pop up on your map, but when all I have to go on is "Palo Alto" and that's a decent sized chunk compared to if it was something like "Blume Stadium" it's a bit of a pain. @GOH: While it's obvious that the ME2 "on the house" is to get excitement up for Andromeda, the cynic in me notes that they hadn't done ME3...I wonder why they didn't pick that as the best example of the series... (also it's a ball ache that it's missing all the DLC given it's never dropped in price. Biowares DLC policy is abysmal)
  19. 1) "because I'm batman" 2) "oh god I signed a 5 movie contract, I'm fucked. I thought I'd be the next Scarlet Johanson" 3) I think you'll find this is part of an ARG in the "what the fuck is going on" Last Knight trailer, and that is in fact Metatron hiding in his crotch 4) Eh, yeah it looked shit ages back. Like the fact people couldn't straight away work out it was Flash in Bruce's "dream/alt reality" thing should have said how crap it looked 5) Aquaman looks pretty decent, shame we've got to beat the Cyborg levels on max difficulty to unlock him.
  20. New Justice album. Also listening to some of the Westworld ...remixes.
  21. Been playing Watch_Dogs 2. Really great game. The drones are extremely fitting (and I love the cute little animation for plugging in rPis the RC has) and help with expand the levels a bit to be less of a "hack from camera to camera to camera" as the first was in many cases. Though there is still some repetition to missions (mainly some of the smaller side quests where it becomes a case of "find where the scissor lift is"). I quite enjoyed the SpaceX mission, where after hopping around with both drones n finding I wasn't in reach I got into the building proper, then found I had to be in. It's then I'm like "wait, that's probably what the big container in the middle of the building is for", so ended up surfing from my hidey hole over to the lab to hack a motherboard, then had to hop back on to go back to my hidey hole which was the mission objective. Then escape, where in my cockiness of the ease of it all I fucked up a jump from a ledge and landed right in the restricted zone area in the visitor centre setting off a massive chase. Oh the clothing options in this are great. Like especially compared to stuff like GTA. You can get a pretty broad range of styles, and mix and match it up in a variety of ways (and despite all that I've a dapper Marcus going around hacking in his suit). Not wholly keen on locking out the research trees based on invading certain areas and missions, I guess it's meant to gate it as you go through the game, but it tells you where to get them, at least the area, and I'm wanting the double jump RC and it tells me that's in Palo Alto, but I've gone through all the streets and never has the research node for that shown up on my map. Oh I thought I'd disabled the online stuff, but seems not as I'll have the odd person try and bother me while I'm doing missions. What's kind of annoying is I sometimes get kicked for not having anti-cheat, and I get alerts that others are too (so I suspect the anti-cheat protection is bust ).
  22. Spectre I thought this was fairly decent, it does score some points for opening with a 4 minute long one-shot (obviously a fair bit of trickery in there, I picked up on three of the cuts). Ralph Fiennes got a bit more action. I think casting Moriarty was a bit of stupid choice since it paints a giant target on his head of "this guy is bad". I loved how just "tacked on" the gadgets in the DB10 were as well. Some questions on how everyone is globe trotting so quickly, especially Blofeld since he assumedly had some major hospital works in the meanwhile and still got to London in time to set up pictures n stuff around MI5. Overall a solid ending to the Daniel Craig era of bond I think. (which it clearly is given Craigs brilliant remarks in interviews following this film...heck might be the end of Bond following his remarks, as M says to Brosnan "I think you're a sexist, misogynist dinosaur"). Much belated edit: Part of me posting this was gonna add in the actual one shot for you to go over
  23. https://www.humblebundle.com/monthly XCOM-2 part of next months Humble Bundle, so for $12, with a bunch of games extra on top of it.
  24. This is kind of neat, and quite advanced on the kind of object recognition you'd get ages ago. Also this I guess https://www.twitch.tv/seebotschat
  25. Pretty good run down of what to expect in the coming year.
