  1. Just to clarify: Clone Wars = 2D animated series (and yeah it's good. It's no longer canon, though bits of it like Ventress are in The Clone Wars) The Clone Wars = 3D animated series (which I also think is good, especially after it "grows the beard") Anyway, Maul doesn't come into The Clone Wars until like the very end of S4, I'd figure anyone that was into TPM was already watching and being all "ooh Darth Maul gonna be in S5" wasn't going to have people suddenly dive in that weren't already. Especially as it requires knowledge of already existing arcs within such as the Mandalorian Civil War/Death Watch and the Night Sisters and their relationship with Sidious. Mauls reintroduction in Rebels, along with the Bendu, is also somewhat important canon wise in establishing that Jedi and Sith aren't the only options. e.g the Bendu is neutral and Maul is no longer Sith (he dislikes it when anyone calls him Darth Maul for example). Kylo Ren isn't a Sith either. Though I feel we've had this convo before.
  2. Huh, amazed no one posted this while I was asleep. Anywho Destiny Mass Effect Andromeda trailer revealed at Nvidia CES, and also a release date of March 21st.
  3. http://www.smithsonianmag.com/history/how-journalists-covered-rise-mussolini-hitler-180961407/ This article ended up in my read list over christmas and I think it's pretty good. It's obviously targeted at modern media coverage of Trump.
  4. Because it led to some great arcs in Clone Wars and Rebels?
  5. These lists are always fun for me cos I'm always usually a year behind on gaming, and this year with stripped funds been more so than usual. Game of the Year Hey this game is finally out. Love to be back into an FF game, even if it's an even further departure in mechanics than previous. It has some niggles (only being able to take on one hunt at a time probably being my biggest), but otherwise loads of really nice little touches. Really love Promptos photography and the relationship shown between the gang. Surprise of the Year Brexit? Disappointment of the Year Not gonna add NMS, as I'd already had kinda low expectations for it anyway (and it managed to go below them with clunky mechanics n UI). So I guess... I guess I haven't really gotten any, not played enough to be dissapointed in any. Favourite Moment of 2016 Coming blank at the moment. Most Anticipated of 2017 Looks kinda neat though I feel that it might have an issue of repetitiveness, but it'll be a cool and different world the explore (hopefully). Also FFXII: Zodiac Age is out this year too.
  6. But hot heart! You forget that while Trump is a half brained sexist misogynist dimwit inspiring up a wave of neo-nazism, failing to reveal his tax returns in a decades long break from tradition, lacking in any political or military experience and populating his cabinet with "the elite", that despite all that Hillary had emails. Yeah I saw the above Lincoln quote, and also Obamas end of year tweet and I just can't wrap my head around half the nation think Trump is their best person to make the leader of their nation, their representative to the rest of the world, and think Obama is shit. We'd love to have Obama. And Trump is scary as hell. I don't follow him on Twitter but I feel I should just so I know when to dash to the metro station.
  7. Secret Life of Pets I didn't actively watch this, but nothing in the first moments really drew me to it beyond the "bits from the trailer with the animals acting out". Anywho the story starts with a toy dog named Woody Max and his friends while their owners are away. Owner brings in a new toy dog called buzz Douglas (or something). They get in a fight and end up cast out into the wide world, they bond while their friends look for them and they all make it home in time for owners getting back. There's a hawk that should totally have eaten several of them, also for some reason unlike Zootopia this film decided to animate buttholes. It amused the children I guess. (we also rewatched Storks too, which still has me asking loads of questions about how baby making works in that world).
  8. Just got home... Belated Thank You to Vecha for Offworld Trading Company. :/ Must have spent the last week been like "that bastard Dean hasn't said hide nor hair about my gift"

  10. So grabbed the PS+ version of Dirt 3 for siblings PS3. They wanted to do splitscreen but you're pretty limited by the amount of cars that are unlocked by default. Always hated it in games where the SP dictates what you get access to in the MP. I'm sure my dad will be happy to play through the campaign for them
  11. If you're not up for building (Check Replica Prop Forum/Punished Props/Evil Ted for some good places to start out) then I imagine there's "retired" 501st that'll have suits for sale. It's a pretty cool organisation, cool they've expanded beyond stormtroopers. I've found out that Sky (satellite TV service in UK) has a specific Star Wars channel with 24/7 Star Wars on. I think it's a time limited thing though since there's also a Christmas channel too. So currently got New Hope on in the background. Also found out my grandma is a big BB-8 fan, she likes the temprature senstive mug I got for xmas n has been bought one of those sphero RC toys too. She was disapointed BB-8 wasn't in Rogue One.
  12. have finisheed Westworld. Kinda felt the finale was a bit flat, guess it's made with the intention of going through a couple times, got a bit confusing I guess to a degree they might have had a finale all nicely written out then someone said "hey you guys seen that Humans show?" and someone went "aahhh shit". Speaking of I think S2 of that is next on my list, that or The Expanse.
  13. I'd say S2 is much better (S1 still great mind). "Keep Summer Safe", "Everything is on a cob!". I guess it did have the Purge episode but it at least acknowledged that. Oh and the episode with Fart (which thank god you'd seen). Step-mum put on a chunk of Crystal Skull and then some rom-com thing last night so I got through a couple of episodes of Westworld.
  14. Zombieland My dad was flicking throuugh channels and this was on EE4, missed a bit of the start but I'd seen the opening montage. I guess kinda funny to a degree and well told though knowing the Bill Murray stuff I guess kinda sucked some of the fun out the middle section. Emma Stone has many moments in this where she does not look like Emma Stone. Viisually fun thoug, especially with the end in the theme park. I guess I assumed that bit would last longer than it did, or at least take a bit longer to resolve.
  15. So I brought a few of my smaller games with me; Fluxx, Sabotuer, Gloom, & Mars Attacks Dice. But these games are considered "too complex, what about something like Monopoly" so they've not been played even though I've pointed out the age range on them, that they're short turn around games n such. However we did play CaH, including my cousins kids and my two younger sisters which brought the average age playing to probably a fair bit loweer than 18. Was kinda funny though I guess, though a degree of "you'll know when you're older" and I guess playing less rude answers since the kids won't undersand to give you points. I also got "Who am I" as a present off my mum, it's a party game, akin to the "name on a post-it stuck to your head" but here you get cards with nose holes so you rest it over your mouth n ask yes/no questions to guess who you are. My youngest brother was a terrible cheat "dropping" his card then making a perfect guess the next turn (super terrible cos despite that I still won). Also I played chess against 11yr old sister, beat her twice. She's fairly new to it though, she'd dug out my old "12 games in one" board earlier in week and still calls them "horses" and "castles".
  16. They did, not sure if it was as a pilot or just a one off mini-series thing. It's a Douglas Adams thing so always worth a shot. (Also Adam Savage did some of the crosbow props since he's friends with Max Landis (I guess through the parents given he's had his mum on as a panel guest before now).
  17. I watch Flash n Supergirl. Might give Legends of Tomorrow a looksy, though probably gonna skip Arrow given it'll be a fair bit of an investment at this point. And yeah, I guess a bit nerdy but bear in mind 1. He is kinda nerdy to a degree 2. We're way too used to grimdark Superman at this point so might skew the perspective a bit.
  18. Carrie Fisher has died A sad life at times, but a very accomplished woman otherwise. too young at 60.
  19. I grabbed Rebel Galaxy many moons ago, quite enjoyed it. I know it was free on PS+ a few months ago too. Prettty decent, kinda short sorta. Not an overly complex plot, though I know it has some procedural thing. Quite enjoyed it, decent variety of ship types, some trading stuff and controls aren't overly complex since it's all on a 2D plane (it's broadside ship battling in space essentially).
  20. I'm...4/5 episodes in so far . I sorta understood it as Ethan said what I don't (currently) get is I'm also curious on how many guests their are, cos be harder to sort of have staff come through and sort things if there is guests still around. Would spoil the illusion a bit. Also amazed so far none of the guests have interacted with each other really. I guess they'd figure things out when the bullets bounce off each other.
  21. Not sure what you're asking here but I have a spare code for the intro pack if you want it. I'm an idiot and bought S-E's holiday mystery bundle despite there being a 99% chance I would already own everything in it. Spoiler: I did. That'd be swell if you're up for that. Not sure I'd have much to trade in return but if you check the Content Exchange thread I've a bunch of things listed (p.s for rest feel free to pipe up). But yeah mainly making sure on what TME responded with that you're not like locked into buying rest of the game per-episode cos that works out quite a bit more than as a lump. I do think it's a pretty neat format for selling the game mind, I know Fable 2/3 had a shot at doing it that way, but it's not quite the right kind of game to sell it that way.
  22. I haven't even bothered yet (partly cos I'm at my grans n she'll have watched something else). Might grab it when I'm back home though to put on the background. Not expecting much tbh, the christmas specials do tend to be a bit hit n miss, last decent one was the last Matt Smith one. I hear they had on the Goku from the Dragonball movie in this. Oh there's a trailer for the next series kicking around but I'm a bit limited in being able to embed if anyone else wants to do the honours.
  23. I'm mulling over grabbing first Hitman 2016, though I'm kinda cuious if if you do you can pick up the rest in the bundle if you do. Knowing S-E probably the case.

    Help!

Oh yeah, had a chance to sort this out this morning. The support response I got was "you installed it wrong" which was super duper helpful (it's like a two step process, so there's not really much wiggle room for shit to go wrong tbh). Anywho now seems to work after once again deleting it all, and re-installing.
