Reigns. I also picked it up, though yet to load it up (been super busy, and it carried on erroring when installing which kinda soured me on it a bit to start with). There's a bunch of games on sale on Android atm, including Deus Ex GO and a bunch of Final Fantasy games (though that means they're still like £5 a pop but I guess that's less than Mario Run ).

So quick question: If I was to back up my FFXV saves and take the disc with me and lean heavily on my brother n sign into my PSN account on his PS4, could I play FFXV on his console with my saves? I like to think the backup thing in PS+ should really help in this regard. I should note most of this is theoretical cos like while he's off viewing some post xmas racing so he's not gonna be on his PS4 for at least a day he never learnt the wonders of sharing as the youngest child n all.

GRID is currently free on Humble, and I hear it's a pretty decent racing game. Though if you grab it you have to redeem it before the end of the year.

CrowNow has gotten me : Which is cool cos the new update sounds pretty wicked, and I'm totally not going away seeing family until early January n gonna have it in back of mind I've got this waiting for me.

Man I'm bummed that Kingdoms of Amalur never got a sequel. Stupid shareholder shit. Was a neat world and lore, even if all the elves sounded a bit irish

edit: to save time I'm just gonna wrap the whole thing in a spoiler warning cos it's late. And it lets me be clearer about the Peter Jackson story. I'll probably have more thoughts down the line but it's coming up to 1AM.

Rogue One: A Star War (I really should have taken a picture, it was too good on the little LED screen above our...screen) Anywho it pretty much ticked every box it needed to tick and yeah it's a pretty solid entry into the Star Wars canon and great debut of the "A Star Wars Story" non-Episode stuff. Along with the casting n crewing of Han Solo flick, this defo helped perk up my hype meter. Probably the first non-kid friendly Star Wars I'd say, and I think to a degree they should maybe communicate that more. Listening to the spoiler podcast with Gareth Edwards n he's saying he honestly expected a memo from on high at Disney to be like "hey could you maybe do some alternate shots for bits" but never came. I'd say the easter eggs are tastefully done in it, and I think there's gonna be tons to tear apart in it. I'm gonna dump most of my thoughts in the Star Wars thread, but one thing I will say is that their use of CGI in this, while not wholly convincing tbh (for one where the hell are his pink bunny slippers*), is definitely unprecedented in scope and while I understand why it was done (though I feel storywise they could have reduced it) it will certainly have long lasting impact within the industry and sure to be sparking a lot of calls from actors to agents to maybe make sure to stop it down the line. Say what? Defo nostalgia speaking. (Anakin. Come on Obi Wan even screams it at him) *for those not in the know Cushing found his supplied costume boots uncomfortable, so in shots where he's not having to show his boots he's wearing slippers.

http://store.steampowered.com/news/26415/ The Steam Awards nominees are up, they'll be running them one category a day from the 22nd. That "test of time" thing makes me wonder the average age of steam base if 5 years is considered old.

https://youtu.be/sMfSKEMFXBQ IMAX messed up with a trailer missing most the proper audio effects. "urgh"

"no specific purpose in mind" they say, while also building giant mecha swords and guns readying for the strike across no mans land.

So in a fit of not paying attention to what directory I was in I deleted all the music off my phone so using it as an excuse to go through my whole collection to fill up with some "fresh" songs. Which mainly means older songs I've not listened to in a while.

"we are the self preservation society". No idea who the third guy is tbh, I've a feeling he'll maybe drag bits down based on the trailer.

his stresses are on weird parts compared to a Yorkshire dialect.

Oh man, just gone exploring an ancient dungeon with [retracted guest party member] and apart from some of the monster placements being a bit obvious towards end (and ending in a large open arena which Prompto is like "you just know a big monster is gonna jump out at us here") was an otherwise great segment of the game, loved the Reaper monsters which unfortunately didn't get any shots of. Certainly starting to drawn in the more "fantasy" part with it (said ancient dungeon is under a lake...like the ceiling of the dungeon is the lake, not underground but underwater). Oh n Biggs n Wedge show up here too. Not sure which was which but one of them had a very "Russian general" vibe. It did follow up with a rather weird and out of place segment in Lestallum though, I'm thinking it was just there as a story beat to get pawns in certain places though so not gonna give it to much issue. I would say I'm careening into what is the "linear" part of the game. It's not so much like "linear corridors" as in you do certain things in the main quests and you'll get the "it will be a while before you return" messages and you're then sort of put on tracks from area to area to complete that story segment, but once done you're still free to go around the open world, do hunts n races n such. I went up the volcano the other day, then on my return have since been given two quests up there and a hint that there's a royal arm up there (which I think I know where cos there was a path I didn't take as I feared it'd lead me astray). So there's a task to complete again It's one of the "gameier" segments in that getting to the top means knowing how the Stamina system works, or you'll run out of stamina half way n slide down in exhaustion. In other news it's getting a small festive update next week. Two new outfits for Noctis, a New Game+ mode and a carnival area to go to which I guess will be the games Golden Saucer equivalent. https://twitter.com/FFXVEN/status/809797063764537344

I'd say, though I guess now I'm about to say this an issue...but I'd say his Geordie is better than his Yorkshire. But then I'm more familiar with Yorkshire so it's possible there's issues with his Geordie. He does kinda acknowledge them a bit though.

The Room 3 So far gotten 2 of the 4 endings. I imagine getting the rest wouldn't be too hard.

I only got mine cos it was free with my PS4. If it worked outside of my home network it'd be somewhat useful as a small thing to take to parents n still be able to use PS4. As it was, it only properly worked within home network which was a tad pointless for me given my PS4 is here at home too without any of the lag.

Division is having a sale n free weekend. Not sure if that's on PS4/Xbox too, but certainly on uPlay. I hear it's changed a fair bit since launch so I'm gonna give it a shake.

Updated it and it decided to have a fit. So between the rest of the site being somewhat nonfunctional and having tapatalk I picked the former.
