Thanks for the heads up. Downloading it now.

I wish I could unlike that ugly post.

Going to try starting Insanity tomorrow.

Otherwise I would have dropped it by now. I nearly did during that scene when they sat in the smoke for 30 minutes and talked about how a cannon was going to fire in 20 seconds.

Well, I'm into it at this point. And I only watch anime because I might as well go read a book if I'm reading manga (with a few exceptions). It's a nice concept. It just suffers from fluff and repetition. Things like people repeating inner thoughts over and over and over in some heavy-handed attempt—and failure—at character development, at other characters going on about pointless "observations" and such. Just frustrates me. It's one reason why I try and avoid the genre.

That was the last few episodes before today's. FFS. And they aren't even talking about anything remotely interesting or plot-relevant. Just bullshit armchair philosophy and repetition.
-
More like Attack on Awful. These last few episodes have literally pissed me off. They say talking in that smoke for 30 minutes. What is this, Dragon Ball Z? They're really pushing the whole doing absolutely nothing.

Both. I inspire terror in dogs. -
Where the fuck are all these stores supposed to be, physically?

And the Jews wouldn't have (undeservedly) been given Jerusalem. The trouble is, and this is important, that the vocal minority often influences the majority because they're so vocal. Whether they're right or wrong in the scope of whatever it is they're dealing with or whether it actually sits well with the values of the majority doesn't matter. But i'll agree with the overall sentiment of the last statement insofar why it's there. Though I don't believe it should be there for that.

And the trouble with giving society an option to choose is that you're going to end up with people who are vocally offended but may not represent that society as a whole, too. Trouble with leaving that to a board should be evident as well.

Oh, I just meant in general.

Or the more you get used to it. Like the awful humor.

Reggie was one of my first houses. Bought so much from his.

The Greenwood Encyclopedia of Daily Life: The Ancient World and it's really pissing me off. Covers ancient Mesopotamian, Egyptian, Greek, Roman, Indian, Nubian—even Australian Aboriginal!—history. Yet it only mentions Persia three times. And as a defeated empire. It was a huge, powerful empire that rivaled the Byzantine, and yet the only mention is of its conquest by Alexander and one or two rebuffs by the Romans. What? How can you have such a large hole where such an important empire is concerned? I'm also reading Guy Gavriel Kay's A River of Stars. Amazing. Even has a clever reference to Water Margin. -
I never said I haven't had an issue with some of those things being illegal (in media). Just not the topic of conversation I suppose. Most would leave a sour taste in my mouth. The bracketed bit in my quote wasn't meant chidingly, btw. I just think it's a damn needless dance where media is concerned. Once again, I'm leaning toward Thursday's take.

@Ethan: If in the presence of people who spell it like that, I'll say it like that mockingly.

I pronounce "colour" as "caloor".

I don't think that's how it works. But FDS is right. I can see it being one reason why the 360 sold so well to parents of teenagers, what with the deceptive Nothing Comes in the Box way they went about selling the system.

Just paid for the second bridge. How do you get the Resetti center and cafe?

That's what I'm reading, Dean. I'm not sure if it's a cultural thing or what, though. I guess I'm closest to Thursday's: "Yeah, it's something I have a little trouble with. Even extreme examples like 'Human Centipede 2'. I think the film is appalling and should never have been made, but I also don't believe in restricting people's right to make and watch crap. I mean, if I was in charge, Jersey Shore and all it's ilk would be banned as obscene."

Which is really convenient btw (PC power cords).

So . . . wasn't the HDD. At least not fully. Freezes are still happening, and the computer is locking up on and off repeatedly. I'm currently running safe mode to see if there are driver issues.
