  1. I beat Sly Cooper 1 and Gravity Rush. If I enjoyed Sly Cooper 1, are 2 and 3 also good? They're both $4 for me on PSN right now, and I was thinking about picking them up...
  2. Be sure to spend your upgrade points, too. Upgrading things like your shift time and gravity kick makes the game easier.
  3. To be honest, some of it never feels "natural", especially the gravity slide. Gravity slide races feel like you're running with a shopping cart while wearing ice skates. But other than that, 5-6 missions in and I felt like I got the hang of things. It's just like how you start "thinking with portals" after you play a lot of Portal; you quickly map out your destination and what you need to do to get there in your head.
  4. Getting closer to my goal of platinuming Gravity Rush. All I have left is getting gold on every challenge, reaching the maximum reputation level, and beating the third secret boss.
  5. Konami watermarks the screenshots you take? That's obnoxious.
  6. Bought a Vita, 16GB memory stick and Gravity Rush on Thursday. My enormous GameStop credit + the $50 gift card deal sure came in handy...
  7. I ended up having to upgrade my gravity kick for this optional boss https://twitter.com/jbu3/status/213663695367192576/photo/1 Which is kicking my ever-loving ass right now. I've died like 20 times so far, yet I keep on trucking.
  8. Oh, Gravity Rush. You had all my love, and then you throw a boss at me that I have to defeat in a limited amount of time? I still love you, but I love you less now.
  9. http://www.whitepowermilk.com/ I thought this was a joke at first...
  10. Bought a Vita with Gravity Rush today. So awesome.
  11. Hey, guy that hurriedly locked up GameStop's door 45 MINUTES EARLY as I was driving in; you're an asshole and I'll find a way to make sure your manager knows.

Especially if you consider that if he was there alone he probably didn't clock out until the normal time.

Or cut the guy a break. The store was probably open for a good 8-9 hours. I've been known to knock off early when it's a quiet day and assuming that (a) You go back to that store and (b) he clocked out when he shut the door, nothing of value was lost.

@Thursday: It's a corporate job. Gotta follow the rules. It sucks but you have to keep your doors open.

  12. Indie Game: The Movie. It captures the devs at their most vulnerable, and the passion they put behind their games is simply incredible. I know many of you have some less-than-pleasant opinions about at least two of them (Phil Fish and Jonathan Blow, though Frosted also seems to dislike Edmund Mcmillen), but I'd still recommend giving it a watch.
  13. Some more Cagefacts; He halted the production of Trespass for THREE WEEKS because he was suddenly convinced that he wanted to play the villain instead of the protagonist. Took him three weeks to be convinced that such a move simply wasn't possible. On the set of the second Ghost Rider film, to get "in character", he would run around set with his face painted black, crazy contact lenses in and "Egyptian artefacts" sewn into his clothes. " And then I would walk on the set projecting this kind of aura of horror and I would see in the eyes of my co-stars [looks amazed] - they would go like this and light up. The fear was there and it was just like oxygen to a fire. And that led me to believe that maybe I really was this spirit of vengeance. The problem is if you have a Christmas party in Romania and you’re shooting until 2am and you’re invited to go to the Christmas party and some Schnapps is involved, and you’re still in character, all hell can break loose and it did. I’m lucky I’m not in a Romanian prison! [Laughs]"
  14. http://storify.com/jbu3/on-dog-wakes Is it considered Faux pas to promote something you did? Fuck it, I'm doing it anyway.

  16. Really? Huh. I enjoyed the movie, but I felt like it could have been so much more. It felt like characters often made bone-headed decisions that went against their established nature, and while it certainly had a lot of interesting questions and themes, it never really answers most of them. EDIT: Yeah, I see now that you had similar complaints. Guess it just got to me more.
  17. It's from the HBO show "Life's Too Short".
  18. I did a total 180 on the system. During the press conference I wanted nothing to do with the system. Today? After watching the videos and reading up on information outside of the press conferences, I kind of want one. Well, not kind of, I REALLY want one.
  19. Cinnamon apple pancakes, with sugar-free maple syrup. Yummmmmmmmmmmmmm
