I saw it too and I liked what I saw, but I most definitely DON'T like Bethesda's attitude of "So what? It'll be a console port. Got a problem with that?" It's obvious the game won't do a single thing that the consoles aren't capable of doing, even in the PC version. I expect low draw distances, continuing to divide the game world into "cells", and two-line conversations. Funnily enough, my attitude would also be "So what? It'll be a console port. Got a problem with that?" because of all the temper tantrums PC people throw on the Internet. It's partly why I think Rockstar stopped putting games on PC; it's a pain in the ass to deal with the PC crowd. -
Yep, originally it was blacks, then it was gays, then its something else. X-Men was born and is fueled by whatever prejudices exist in the world at the time the stories are written. That having been said, First Class was a very good film, with some extra writing for the Xavier and Eric. Never said it was a bad film. It's an awesome film.

The art style is absolutely captivating, and the combat makes a one-button system incredibly deep and complex. The demo was a blast, and I was instantly hooked on what little background story the demo gave me. This is definitely in my "Must Play" list of games; maybe at the top, before such known quantities as Battlefield 3 and Mass Effect 3. -
Why can't video game developers get over themselves? This pissing contest between DICE and Activision makes them both look like fucking apes.

I STILL think the mutants are a veiled reference for homosexuality. For Christ's sake, one of the characters says "He didn't ask, I didn't tell" when it comes to their mutant abilities! It's hammering the point home like that asteroid nailed the dinosaurs millions of years ago.

Better than Shrek 3, not as good as Shrek 1 or 2. It was pretty predictable at some parts and the version I saw wasn't finished so some scenes were in storyboard form (which wasn't bad) and some were un-finished CG and they just looked like dolls. Every time it switched it pulled out of immersion of the video, so I can't say for sure how good it was. Worth watching, maybe not in theaters, but on Netflix/redbox/HBO

20th Century Fox has the rights to the X-Men movie franchise, so I don't think Disney had any say in it. In the same vein, Sony owns the rights to the Spider-Man franchise, so they could have Spider-Man also say fuck. -

I just saw and thoroughly enjoyed X-Men: First Class. Meanwhile, my brother called it the worst superhero movie he's ever seen and mocked me for being stupid enough to enjoy it. Personally, I don't think he has great tastes; he hated There Will Be Blood (one of the best movies ever made). -
The El Shaddai demo is up on PSN and XBL. It is awesome.

I just couldn't stand the fucking malaria thing. It made me feel unbelievably constrained in exploring the game's fascinating world.

The Giant Bomb chatroom disgusts me. They're saying the staff is "sucking M$ dick" because they aren't completely bashing Kinect while having a candid, interesting review with members of Microsoft. Kinect is not the devil, people!

Really, listening to Jonathan Blow talk about his ideas for Kinect just blows my mind. He sees a market between the hardcore and the casual that no one has been able to tap yet.

Did anyone else feel like Ken Levine was still giving backhanded compliments about the Move? The way he described it made it sound like it was made for dumb people.

I didn't notice, but then again at that point my brain was still reeling from the BioShock Infinite trailer. I guess he's just not a fan of the way motion controls are generally handled.
It's two years in a row now that Sony got someone who bad mouthed them to come on stage during their presser.
I wonder if they have really good PR people, or just write big checks.

You speak the lines now with Kinect? That's kind of cool. Also, the Rainbow Six-styled voice commands are pretty neat.

I don't know about you guys, but I'll be purposefully avoiding all up-to-the-minute E3 coverage, waiting for Giant Bomb's live recap every night. So much more convenient and shorter than sitting through 5-6 hours of useless bits.

Nah, I enjoy watching the press conferences way too much. The inevitable awkwardness of it all is way too amusing to pass up.
