They've only dropped him because it's playing badly in the media though and it's clear that a lot of republicans think his way even if they're not dumb enough to air their opinion so bluntly.

that's the main thing I remember about seeing it - the massively thick black outlines on the characters sort of swamped them and with the low resolution it kinda just looked a mess.

How are you liking Okami? I loved that game - it's the only time I feel a games lived up to the zelda comparisons, while while managing to maintain a completely original feel. Also reminds me I keep meaning to find out if okamiden is worth giving a shot.

Since collecting small coins is my least favourite part of any mario game this new one just seems like it's one game I don't need to stack onto my monster pile of unplayed games. Edit: it's the best selling game in the UK this week, so even if people aren't talking about buying it, they are buying it.

I'm playing Ghost Trick on my Nintendo portable console. I'm quite enjoying it but it's not fantastic. The style really makes me think of Phoenix Wright, in fact I thin it even has some of the same sound effects.

yeah, what'd you order from Club Nintendo, you hot-linking monster?

From the hands-ons I've been reading the solo mode is 15 to 20 hours long and it sounds like the game is going to be very difficult, including an unlockable Survival Mode where you have to complete the entire game with one life/character. Also, I completely missed from E3 that there are multiplayer modes. One's asynchronous play where the pad holder controls the zombie king with a topdown view setting traps and moving zombies around, while the other player uses a pro controller on the TV screen first person view to survive as long as possible. The other mode is "when your character gets infected, your online friends are alerted of your death and can come and hunt down your zombified character to loot the gear in your BOB and put you out of your misery!" in my mind that makes it sound like it's people you're not directly playing with? If that's true it sounds fairly interesting.

Apparently Nintendo specifically asked Ubisoft to make a mature game so they came up with ZombiU and I can't imagine Mass Effect 3 turned up without a bit of prompting so it seems Nintendo is finally courting third parties in the same way MS and Sony have for years. Do you think Nintendo will keep this up through the life of the console, or should they try and make mature games themselves? and can they ever win back core gamers, or do you just think people who would buy the WiiU anyway may not feel the need to buy a PS4/nextbox?

edit: grrr.

I don't normally like dog costumes but ALL DOGS SHOULD WEAR THIS.

jesus, it's so bright... it's hurting my eyes.
-
It had the screen lifting thing and while it wasn't exhibiting any problems because of it yet, I have no intention of waiting until it does.
-
thanks for the info but I don't know when I'll be replacing my nexus so I won't be buying this time.

I've seen the film and the Cravendale adverts are about the right length for that style. It's... intense.

I couldn't think of a way they could be tied to your PLAY account, so i assumed APKs, but since I haven't had an android device in ages, and have no intention of messing with my nexus 7* - I couldn't remember how APKs actually work. Do you just drag and drop and android recognises them or do you need super user/root access (can't remember exactly the process now) * kind of moot, actually, since I won't have it after tomorrow.

how do you get the android games if you buy the bundle?

Different game for £1 each day from the dreaded ubisoft. Newsletter with that and other offers. edit: Greed: Black Border is free on GMG, and when you but it they give you a 20% off voucher.

Bought the one on the right today. It's the blue one, and it's sort of metallic which I didn't realise from the promo shots, kind of wish it was a bit darker but it looks/feels nicer quality than the original. It's a lot more comfortable to hold as my hands aren't curled around the shoulder buttons and crunched up I think it's going to be great for longer play sessions. The glare reduction seems better, it would great if you could actually leave the 3D on in bright light which you couldn't on the original but I haven't had a chance to try that yet. I traded in my DSi, which I never got around to getting rid of when I bought the 3DS. It was quite a good offer from Game/Gamestation, I got the 3DS XL and a charger (which I did need) for £100, which values the DSi at around £75/£80 which is nearly twice what I could normally get for it. Wonder how long I'll have my 3DS sitting there? Hopefully they'll bring out an offer to trade it for the Vita and I can finally get myself one of those.

it seemed weird you brought it up.

...and Paul McCartney was nowhere in sight. There was a choir singing it like I thought though. Overall I enjoyed the closing ceremony - not as good as the opening obviously, but that's to be expected. If the Rio bit was anything to go by I don't think we've got to worry about being eclipsed.

What are you listening to now?

If you don't think they're awesome, I don't even want to know. -

well, I'm listening the this: because I accidentally bought it on my tablet from Amazon with their stupid one-click purchasing which, annoyingly you can't turn off for digital products. In fairness to amazon they responded to my email within 10 minutes, at 7pm on a Saturday to give me a refund, so that was quite impressive. What I was actually looking for, though was: -
that's what our markets are like, and our car boots are getting like. I want broken tables and jigsaws with missing pieces at my car boots. The most commercialness I want is old ladies selling hand-knitted baby cardigans in hideous colours.
-
That sounds about right - though ours are getting more commercial now. It's not a good thing in my opinion. I'd go to a market if I wanted dodgy people selling dodgy goods. I don't.
