I watched Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistlestop Café. I cried. Not at the scene with Kathy Bates covered in cling film.

Saints Row: The Third is £11.97 on Green Man Gaming. It also says: "Third party DRM: Steam This game requires a free Steam account to play." so I assume it links to your steam account.

Outside of its proper use (a measurement of explosive power) I've only ever heard of megaton being used in the phrase 'megaton announcement' which meaning makes sense - to me at least - meaning it has a big impact. That was around a long time before fallout and is a reference to the correct meaning of the word. Can you put hype in a sentence as I'm not sure what you mean here? I can only think of "pure hype" but that is a fairly common phrase.

from DS to 3DS was 7 years. DS lite didn't change anything and even the DSi was only similar to the addition of Move/Kinect to the home consoles i.e. not a fundamental change to the hardware nor a new gen. They were more to do with keeping customers interested in the console than keeping up with technology.

Two nuns are driving down a road and a vampire jumps out in front of them. One nun says to the other, "Quick, Mary get out and show them your cross" so Mary jumps out of the car and shouts at the vampire, "I am so angry with you right now!".
-
Oh yeah that reminds me, I would want to get a degree. Dropping out of uni was the right decision for me at the time but it is still something I feel bad about.

I would definitely retire. I don't do a job I love and I don't get bored easily. With that in mind I wouldn't go mental buying expensive stuff as I'd need to have it last 50 years. After giving money to my parents and brother, I'd buy a car with a retractable hard top and I'd love to design my own house. That's about it. I don't think I'd be any more exciting than I am now. Maybe I'd hire a personal trainer to get in shape.

Kind of loving Revenge at the moment. It's some pretty OTT drama. Happy it's got a second series but surely she must be running out of people to ruin.

While I assume/hope you're joking so I won't go in to why you shouldn't be using it, I will say you (all) should look up the history of the word gay as it's interesting and never was as innocent a word as people think it was. It has always had connotations of promiscuity and lax morals, so it's actually not a lovely word the gays stole from the moral majority, it is another negative word that has been shoved on the gay community.
-
I believe from what I've read it is not to push for legalisation of gay marriage, but for basic rights for gay people, eg not to be discriminated against at work, decriminalising consensual homosexual acts etc.

Go and tell them how pleased you are they're using a flaming homosexual in their marketing and that you'll be sure to tell everyone as much.

good call, I couldn't of put it better myself.

Since I've never played any FF games except XIII, I wonder which of the games would be best to start with. I see people have picked VI as the best, but does that mean it's the best introduction? Also, is that what it would be called on EU PSN store as it seems they have different numbers in different countries? Thanks!

I did burn myself out on the sly HD trilogy by trying to go through them all at the same time (well, one after the other). Haven't got round to finishing it yet. It's like when I buy a new album I love it's the only thing I listen to for a fortnight and I end up making myself sick of it. At least you've still got a while before AC 3 comes out if you can't face the whole game in one block.

you can often get free exercise equipment on freecycle or similar sites, or very cheap through ebay/classifieds as people don't use them and don't like them sitting there taking up a lot of space/making them feel guilty. There are a few people at work who have an app on their smartphone that has all the different foods/drinks and their fat/sugar/cals etc. and you can put them in as you eat them throughout the day. Apparently it works well cos if you wait until the end of the day to work it out you tend to forget/under-report what you've eaten.

would you cut out trying to buy all the buildings, guild challenges, fully training all the assassin recruits etc.? I don't really think there are (m)any missions you can leave out. I know I've not managed to rip through it at the speed I'd thought I would but then once I started I wanted to own all the shops/buildings/books etc. I also think the downer everyone seemed to have on it at the start cos it was similar to the other games made the game seem worse than it actually is - on it's own merits it is a perfectly enjoyable game so you should at least try to take a bit of time to enjoy it and not see it as a chore.

the balance board sold multi times better than the kinect and on a more limited scope of what it could do, so I don't think Nintendo exactly failed on the marketing front with regard to peripherals of dubious benefit. Also, if this article is to be believed there may not be more Kinects than moves out in the wild. Though it does hint at MS's better marketing since it seems 90% of them were bought in the first month or so before there were any games out and after that sales dropped off a cliff when people thought, 'hang on what am I actually buying this for'? That would imply it's only Sony not marketing that well, as it looks more like people are buying the move when they see a compelling game to buy with it. You could say that's actually the better marketing strategy though in the long run as it means you don't end up with a load of resentful customers with a £100 microphone sitting in the corner of their room with less inclination to buy the next life changing peripheral you try to push in to their homes.

You always end up with more money than you can spend in AC games though. I didn't even know you could sell bomb parts. Mind you I don't really use them. I think I'm most of the way through the game and I still haven't used 50 bombs yet. I think it annoys me that I can only carry 4 of one type so I don't want to use them even though I've got spare parts out the wazoo. I did find it harder in revelations deciding which of the missions I could do without advancing the story, and it seems like there are less side quests this time. Also, is there any point in the carry-4-boxes-for-a-merchant type "missions"? I can't work out why I'd do them. do they unlock something or maybe get harder if you keep doing them?

I'm sure it will be successful in Scotland and Wales.

I have a similar issue with those quick recipes which are only quick if you've already finely diced about half a dozen different ingredients and pre-weighed doze half a dozen more or you have to make half the ingredients beforehand eg a sauce so it takes you an hour to get to the point where the recipe actually starts.

What if my guilty pleasure is arguing on the internet?

IS this for real? Even if it's not "I don't do karate, I do ca-ray-zee" has got to be my quote of the day.

Funny, I hate it when people take personal offence at a general point.
