That yellow finger monster. I loved them.

I'd need a shameless gaming year. And all the publishers to go bust simultaneously. And then another couple of years.
-
Cannot see the photo but I'm sure it's lovely.

the third one is the worst of the three to be sure, the new character (I think he was in shameless? but I don't watch that) is kind of annoying especially to begin with. It's a shame as before that they'd managed to have all the main characters be great which is good going as usually there is a weak link in there somewhere. Oh, and put the photo online; Iwan is hot! When I was watching Being Human I kept wondering where I'd seen the werewolf actor before, and it was really bugging me when it suddenly struck me he's the brother of the chav girl from misfits you mentioned, and they look so similar I thought I'd seen him somewhere else before when it was actually her I was thinking of.

That sounds awesome. Wonder what would happen if you plugged in one of those optimus keyboards...

...you don't mean kooky do you?

What are you listening to now?

TV shows thread made me listen to the theme tune. -
Misfits is awesome. I loved that programme. The box set is cheap now so I may treat myself. Love the theme tune too, it's in my head now just thinking about the programme. edit: here's the intro. I think the whole intro is great. It really suits the series and sets you up for programme. I think a great intro really adds to a programme - mad men got it spot on too. The only other boxset I have is Gimme Gimme Gimme which was absolutely hilarious and Kathy Burke's character is one of the most outrageous things I've seen on TV. At the moment I'm watching Spiral II. I'm enjoying it but it seems to completely ignore all the threads left at the end of the first series. The only problem I have is with the red headed woman (not good with names sorry!) as it seems to swing between portraying her as someone who being pulled down a road she doesn't want to go down and just being a mercenary bitch that you can't feel sorry for. Comedy-wise Dead boss which has just started is pretty funny. Glad it's only 6 episodes long, as I think some American comedies seem rather to drag on. Which reminds me of 2 Broke girls which was billed as the biggest hit comedy in the US. WTF, it's absolutely dire the acting makes the first series of Friends seem naturalistic. My favourite recent US comedy is probably Happy Endings. Max is ace.

If it means they won't be shipping out so much subsidised grain to Africa crippling that continents farmers then it sounds like a good idea.

Here's what Jimmy Carr was doing: edit: it may have reduced his income tax levels to as low as 1%. It's tax avoidance, (where people legally minimise their tax bill) not evasion so is not illegal. But if it is an entirely made up construct to avoid paying the correct amount of tax it may be tax abuse and then he can be asked to pay the money back. While I think tax avoidance to that sort of extent is morally repugnant, I don't think it is appropriate for a PM to name individual people like that. Jimmy Carr won't have done this himself, he's got an accountant and we don't know what they've said to each other about how far to go in the tax avoidance thing so it's hard to know where the blame lies. Also Jimmy Carr may have been targeted as he was only recently making jokes about Barclays trying to do a tax avoidance scheme on some of its profits.

commandos 3 Destination Berlin is free for one day only on GMG and if you get it they give you a voucher for 10% off a selection of games e.g. quantum conundrum.

I just watched Down With Love, which is completely daft but enjoyable. It's got Ewan McGregor who is as adorable as ever and spends half the movie with his shirt off. and Rene Zellweger at her least annoying which is no mean feat. The supporting cast were good too, David Hyde Pierce was pretty much Niles Crane and the other woman was good and looked familiar but I can't think were from.

The Limited Collector's edition is only £12.85 on Shopto.net. Bargain. Stupid system added an extra one to my order when I logged in, and you can't cancel the order. Not so awesome.

He's certainly got the mad, starey eyes that all videogame characters seem to have.

I bought myself a watch today too. It is not my birthday. I did not need a new watch. edit: here's a photo of my watch: edit 2: no, before you ask I'm not going raving in the 90s.

bonus points to anyone who uses one of his putdowns IRL, this week.

I have to remember some of the dog's putdowns. edit: swearing is beeped but its still pretty NSFW due to the insults.

I played sly 1 and 2 back to back and enjoyed them both - 2 being slightly better. I started on 3 but got bored of it. I don't know if it wasn't as good or I just got bored of playing too much of the same thing. Having said that I'll definitely be going back to finish it and for that price I would definitely get all three but just spread them out a bit.

Iwata: “We’re not completely getting rid of Friend Codes, but a function of the “Miiverse” will simplify the process of making friends with another user in the platform by eliminating the need to input Friend Codes.” There's nothing inherently wrong with friend codes. They're keeping friend codes because they still need to individually identify users. That's logical to me - you need a unique ID on PSN and LIVE too, and if you want to add a specific person, you need to swap those IDs outside the console environment on those systems too, we have threads especially for that purpose on this very forum. Nintendo have said/strongly implied you can add people you meet within the console environment to your friend list on the Wii U. I don't see what the problem is here?

While the dragon has been associated with Wales for a long time (probably roman times and including the story of merlin telling of a white and a red dragon battling representing the saxon invasion of wales). The actual Welsh flag (Y Ddraig Goch - The Red Dragon) was only created in the 1950s. The House of Tudor were Welsh and when Henry VII took the English crown it was under a banner of a dragon representing his welsh ancestry on a green and white background which were the Tudor battle colours. The reason there was no Welsh flag is there was no Welsh nation as such. There were warring Welsh princes who ruled over their own lands but there was only ever one king of all Wales (that was in the 11th century and Owain Glyndwr (an ancestor of Henry Tudor) briefly restored independence in the 15th century). So really Wales was only properly unified when England conquered the last Welsh prince and lumped the whole land together, obviously at this point it didn't need a flag. As time passed Wales started to lose its identity as a separate nation, which eventually led to a rise in patriotism which led to calls for the inclusion of a Welsh element to the union flag, separation from England and even to terrorist bombings (though nothing like to the extent of Ireland). We got our own flag and some devolved powers. Personally I can't imagine changing the union flag, and while if I think about it, it kind of sucks that Wales isn't on there, I do think it 'feels' British and representative of Britain as a whole as it is and while the idea of sticking a massive dragon on the front sounds awesome, it would probably be more likely to add the flag of St David (black with a yellow +) that was incorporated and I don't think anyone wants any more colours on there. Not to mention I don't think people are as bothered any more now we have the welsh flag.
