  1. It's just a shame that shooting has to be in every single game - even ones that don't benefit from it and indeed are negatively impacted by it (e.g. mirror's edge). It's not necessarily bad that it's in there but it would be nice if it wasn't a necessary part of the game as not everyone goes around all guns blazing in everyday life.
  2. Didnt' one of the updates make it so you only need the file size in space to download and install. I know they did that on the PSP at least, though maybe that was because you didn;t have as much space to play with on the memory card
  3. because he's an orphan. edit: hmmm, my 1000th post. About someone losing their parents.
  4. Create automated tasks for your android phone. Even though it's made by Microsoft it's not on WP7 :/ The link is to an article about it, but it is available on the marketplace as a beta.
  5. I think that would be good for games like animal crossing or puzzle games where you just want a quick burst between longer games, but if they don't sort out the games being tied to an account rather than the console itself there is not a chance in hell that I'll be buying them.
  6. well that screen button thing reminded me of it and finding the WiiU thread would require extra clicking and all sorts. I CAN'T BE DOING WITH THAT NONSENSE.
  7. I wonder what happened to the rumours for the haptic feedback on the wiiU gamepad? I thought Nintendo bought a steak in a haptic feedback company and everything.
  8. I do love a danish butter biscuit. I would say they are less dense, more snappy and less crumbly and have a slightly stronger/sweeter taste. But would agree they are probably the most similar biscuit. They're what my Nan used to have in her pantry when we went around. Each one was in an individual paper case which made us think they were a real treat. awww, nice memories. I remember taking ages to choose a shape even though they all tasted exactly the same.
  9. See that's what I don't get about religion - I can see that someone can take the leap of faith to believe in a god(s) or just in general something potentially outside of reality, but I don't know how people can abide by religions when they know they are filtered through the minds of man and all the problems that are inherent with that.
  10. Shortbread along with Scotch and tartan are the basis of the entire tourist trade above the border. It is the best way to mix butter, flour and sugar that ever there was. It's crumbly, buttery and not too sweet by biscuit standards. One word of warning if you decide to try and make them for yourself is that the result though invariably gorgeous is never at all like shortbread at least in our household.
  11. well, you're not going to get too many Christians analysing that too closely though.
  12. I can imagine a few Scots that wouldn't be happy this is in the English vs. English thread! Shortbread, or that make in particular? Shortbread is my favourite biscuit; I don't think I could live somewhere that doesn't sell it (maybe a slight exaggeration)
  13. no problem. Isn't democracy great.
  14. Since it's a bit easy to assume FDS is being fractious and deliberately misunderstanding you I have to say your comment read how he took it. edit: oops, TME beat me to it.
  15. do you mean stylistically rather than the quality of the graphics? If so I think you two have your wires crossed.
  16. Interesting article written by the wife in a Mormon marriage after her husband loses his faith.
  17. people who are 86? And aren't bitches. :/

  19. the flotilla had to have several sections cut out due to the weather and was a recreation of a celebration that was last done 350 years ago and had 1000 boats so it was impressive in its own way. other stuff was more of a spectacle - the fireworks and music at the end of the concert were pretty impressive not to mention all the carriage rides and horsemen guards that we do so well. I think the best thing about it though was that most people genuinely felt good about themselves and the country for a bit and god knows that's rare enough these days to make it all worthwhile.
  20. lol that it's in London so you have a cricket bat instead of a baseball bat as your "crowbar weapon". I guess when you restart it will just be with a new character as it seems you do when you die. I guess there must be a limitless supply of uninfected humans otherwise you'd be stuck not being able to progress if you ran out. I assume they don't all spawn from the same place though else you'd never get past a very small area of the map.
  21. Did the Queen's Diamond Jubilee get much of a mention in the USA? People there seemed to be quite excited for the William and Kate wedding so I wonder how this compared? Over here I think this felt like a bigger deal than the wedding.
  22. I hate myself for reading articles about celebrities I've never even heard of. Not on the Mail Online though, I draw the line there. Having said that it is really hard to avoid it as they are linked to from every other article.
  23. aren't they concentrating on a smash bros. for the 3DS before the WiiU one? Also, is there a space between Wii and U?
  24. I suppose it's better than tesco...
