  1. Is Thomas the Tank engine narrated by Ringo Starr in the US version? Edit: I really need to watch napoleon dynamite again - I can't decide whether I like it or not.
  2. Oh. I hope it works for my US account as it would be the first money I ever managed to get in there. I always keep meaning to get a USD PSN card but now I can see if buying stuff works OK without wasting my own money. Yay!
  3. How was moby dick? People say it is quite the slog to read. I can't decide whether to start it as i hate to ditch a book once I do.
  4. In my dream I was touching my big toe nail. Without noticing how it became as big as my thumb and really thick. I bit it off and then rubbed it soothingly in the way you might a pebble or smooth piece of wood. That was it. I don't remember ever having a dream so focused on on particular detail.
  5. loving the loaded poll question: " No, the government needs to do more to help them, not force them to work for free"

I totally forgot this thing existed. Dude, seriously, thanks for showing this to me. Today was kinda crap.

  6. That attitude won't do when the rapture begins.

  8. Limbo, which is half off on LIVE and also reduced on PSN. I've been waiting ages for them to reduce it. Now all I need it that PG Winterbottom game to be reduced and I think I'll have all the download games I want.

Hrrg. *grunt* Hwaaaaaaa.... Nope. I use Opera so no magic for me (odd since it's among Chrome with the best web standards support...) :(

  10. yeah but you can run over so many more people on the way there so the time just flies by.
  11. thanks for explaining the point of investing to me :/ but it's still all based on one product. I'm not saying that it won't be successful for a few more years to come or indeed that it won't become bigger than Disney I'm just saying that it is not much of a track record to arrive at that value. Angry birds has certainly caught the zeitgeist of the whole app/casual gamer thing but there is nothing to say their next game will have the same appeal indeed history is littered with one hit wonder companies. I don't want them to do badly, I'm not saying they won't be worth that much when they float, what I'm saying is until they've proved they can repeat that success with another brand it is a really hot valuation.
  12. it just smacks of the dot com bubble to me. I know it actually has revenue so is better in that sense, but think of all the established companies with proven track records and more clear long term plans, not just "we'll make another game". Certainly not something I'd invest in.
  13. I'm thinking of getting a WP7 phone. Would you recommend the OS? It seems cool, I'm just trying to find one you can add extra memory into. 8gb doesn't seem enough to me and the 16gb are such a jump in price it kinda annoys me to the point I wouldn't want to get one.
  14. That adam buxton episode of never mind the buzzcocks was awesome. I just watched an older one with Frankie Boyle too which was toe-curlingly hilarious. Dale Winton was another great host. I think it's just Phil Jupitus that spoils the show.
  15. Capcom's best selling game of 2011? The Smurfs on Facebook. which was "the driving force in increasing financial results" Good grief.

  16. Is that because she liked Diana and not how the Royals treated her or because Diana was a massive bitch? The succession laws will come in to effect immediately but will not be relevant unless the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have a baby girl as their first child, who before this week wouldn't have been queen if they later produced a son. I hadn't read about the Catholic thing but I do think that is quite a big deal. The head of the Church of England married to a Catholic? It brings up all sorts of questions - any child they had could be raised Catholic and then become the head of the CofE that's a bit mind boggling.
  17. I'm surprised it was in the cinema. I really wish I hadn't deleted it now even though you're saying it wasn't good. I think it was very long though wasn't it? I'm fairly sure that's why I ended up not giving it a go.
  18. by catfish do you mean Or are you talking about something completely different?
  19. Does anyone here do trick or treat properly? Apparently when you say trick or treat and the householder says treat your supposed to give them a treat (e.g. sing a song or do a little horror routine) and then they reward you with the sweets? Round here people just say trick or treat and you give them some sweets.
  20. Ugh, I could barely sit through Love Actually and I love romcoms. I was much too conscious that they were acting which stopped me enjoying it and was actually a bit cringe-inducing. If you want to see Alan Rickman as a good guy I would highly recommend Sense and Sensibility. It is a really great film, though I guess not everyone loves period dramas (I can't get enough of them).
