  1. I've been following (the limited info about) this game, and I really hope it turns out well and not another oceanhorn.
  2. Well, I know which skill I'll be upgrading first. At least it certainly looks like they've listened to the players moaning that AC combat it too easy. I personally liked the level it was at before.
  3. The specific "hounding" was that the repeated question, "do you think gay sex is a sin?". He wouldn't answer at first then dodged with, "I don't think being gay is a sin" which is not answering the question, and is in fact the way a lot of religious people answer. Finally he said he did not believe gay sex is a sin, but it is believed this is what he thinks compromised his religion though obviously he's not going to come out and say this specifically. He has voted in favour of gay rights and same sex marriage (not just civil partnerships) which is in line with his party's politics but may well not be his own beliefs so it seems on this issue at least on the face of it he was keeping the two separate.
  4. "we are kidding ourselves to think we yet live in a tolerant, liberal society" Tim Farron has quit as leader of the Lib Dems, feeling under scrutiny for his religious beliefs, even after saying he didn't let his beliefs affect his politics. I have to admit it makes me slightly uncomfortable to know an MP is strongly religious (rather than just culturally - I guess most would say they are Christian, but not practising) but if they can separate what they personally believe from what is best for the public/aligned to their party's stance (which seems to be the case here) it is sad that they feel they can't carry out their duties. I guess everyone has their own motivations for their decisions and a lot of them are less clear than religion. I think I need to work on my prejudices.
  5. Reading points 1 and 3, how do you know know retro aren't working on metroid?
  6. yay, can't wait. The original was one of my favourite games last gen plus another Welsh sidekick is a bonus.
  7. I bought that yesterday even though my current plus doesn't run out until October. It's cheaper than any of the cdkeys type places normally sell it for and I bought it with a £50 PSN card I got for £41.65 so it worked out cheaper than I'm likely to find it from any non-dodgy sources and I like not having to scramble around at the end of a subscription with fear I'll not get a good price.
  8. With the blink and you'll miss it announcement, it's time to speculate. Would you rather a polished up from 3DS-based Pokemon Moon soonish or wait a lot longer for a new generation "A+B" entry built entirely for switch?
  9. dunno, at least it was mercifully brief?
  10. @TN and TME, I don't feel realistic injury simulation has been a strong suit in any game I've ever played so I'm happy with whatever makes the game more interesting, which hopefully this does
  11. Similarly, I thought the recent discussion/law suit interesting about whether trump is breaching twitter users' constitutional rights to block them due to his use of twitter as a public forum
  12. I'll reserved judgement for now - I like an easy game but even I've thought a few times it's a bit too easy to drop down for an air assassination then run off into the night. Or if you've got two people walking together and you try to assassinate the one behind it's a bit unrealistic for the one in front to carry on walking as if nothing's happened, if they can even just live long enough to alert the person in front it will potentially make the gameplay a lot more dynamic. I guess I'll choose to be optimistic because I still enjoy the franchise.
  13. If you watch the xbox E3 briefing on mixer (the MS twitch-like streaming site) tonight you'll get a free "E3 mixer pot" which includes free games and DLC. They've not said what they'll be but if you're going to be watching it anyway you may as well get some free stuff out of it. Le deets.
  14. My parents don't/can't use the TV in the front room because it has a set top box. Plus she wouldn't want the extra bits lying around.
  15. I've seen the transceivers but I wanted to avoid all the extra cables and complications as it was for my Mum. She just wouldn't use that. I was looking for something simple and compact for CDs and radio. She's bought herself a DAB radio now so I've stopped looking but it doesn't do what she wanted.
  16. I love popbitch And finally Anyway we're loving laughing at Theresa May's failure. But we are basically the passengers on the Titanic giggling at captain crashing into iceberg. And we'll leave the final word to @liamyoung who says,"To be fair Theresa May warned of coalition of chaos propped up by extremist terrorist sympathisers. She just didn't say she'd be leading it."
  17. speaking of bluetooth headphones, something that has been driving me mad recently while looking for a home stereo is that loads of them now have bluetooth receivers to play music from your phone, but it is almost impossible to find one with a bluetooth transmitter so you can listen with wireless headphones easily which is stupid considering the popularity of bluetooth headphones.
  18. Golf games are a lot harder than I remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing. Think Mario Golf is more my level.
  19. That's a hori peripheral so we can hope that Nintendo's solution is a bit simpler (though this is officially licensed so probably not that different). I assume if you're happy to listen to the game sounds through the console/TV then you can do away with the wire connecting the console to the dongle, or even just plug a normal pair of earphones with an inline mic straight into your phone - if not then there are going to be some serious problems when it comes to playing it in tv mode.
  20. Pop Bitch is seldom wrong so we may be seeing a new sidekick to go with the new doctor. Shame, as I was quite liking her on screen.
  21. I new RPG from the makers of I am Setsuna for PS4, Switch and PC.
  22. I'd been thinking about golf games for some reason, not having done so in years, and then someone mentioned this was on sale for £3.49 on PSN. The reviews aren't great but the gist of them was that the mechanics are solid, and the points were knocked off for a lack of modes/content, which I think the price more than mitigates.
  23. Not sure I've heard a Selena Gomez song before but this is really catchy.
  24. Was it hard to get hold of? Apparently they all went mad when Breath of the Wild came out
