  1. I'm hoping to find out what Retro is working on - whether or not it is Metroid - just to put us out of our misery. I've already had the disappointing news that Beyond Good and Evil 2 will not be appearing though that hardly qualifies as news at this point.
  2. Anyone taken part in the the ARMS global test punch? I did two of them today. I thought it was OK, but I'm not likely to buy it. Think I'd get bored of it too quickly. Plus I can imagine people being very good at it and frustrating me in a way they didn't when they beat me in Splatoon.
  3. Not seen a pinball platformer before and I will always have a soft spot for Team 17 from my youth. Hope it's good.
  4. I can't bear the hot weather - I'm very much not built for it. But on a positive note, we got free ice creams in work today because of the heat.
  5. I played Toren today. Finished it in one sitting which is probably a good thing as it would not have pulled me back in if I'd left it. It had mixed reviews as a flawed ICO-esque game so I wasn't going in expecting the world, but oh boy. When they said ICO clone I wasn't expecting the PS2 level graphics and animation. I don't even think it was ironic. Just bad. Still you could tell it could have been a good game and heck I did finish it so I can't say it was a complete waste of the small outlay I made for it.
  6. how much sperm can a gay man hold?
  7. Did you use the bit you slide onto the top to make it a little larger and the shoulder buttons easier to press? Wondering how much difference (if any) they make.
  8. yes, nice to know some countries haven't completely overreacted to the current state the world is in thus contributing to making it worse.
  9. The Lib Dems can't afford to look a gift horse in the mouth. I bet they're chuffed. If the General Election is decided by votes rather than a game of conkers between candidates, I'm sure you'll all find use for this handy voting guide:
  10. I thought I'd make a thread for topics worth discussing a bit further than somewhere like random thoughts, random things allows, but perhaps don't warrant an entire thread or fit neatly anywhere else. First up: If you could have conclusive proof of one of the following, which would it be? ~ghosts, -cryptids ~aliens visiting Earth.
  11. I've had this post open for over a week now as I couldn't decide what to write. I finished Uncharted 4, and I don't want to piss on its chips as it certainly wasn't bad, but... the thing that impressed me most was that the mirrors in the game worked so I guess underwhelmed? I've never liked the series as much as I've thought I should but stupidly got my hopes up again for this one as it was supposed to be more exploration focused with multiple routes. There definitely was less combat but it was still really obviously telegraphed and the multiple routes seemed mostly to boil down to being able to walk either side of a stone pillar and a lot of annoying and pointless dead ends. It all felt so limited after Breath of The Wild, for example not being able to backtrack, and it being completely arbitrary what you can and can't climb. It's still very much a corridor, just a wider corridor. I know there were bits I missed out and could replay to explore more but I just don't feel the motivation to and I don't think I could take another block pushing puzzle. It was almost comical the amount they shoved in there. The most egregious example was when you arrived in Scotland. A tiny scree slope even I could get up and by the wall a load of barrels you could easily climb, but no, back you go to get a wheeled crate. Drake still seemed as selfish an arsehole as ever and I was honestly a bit peeved it all ended happily ever after. I don;t think he deserves to be happy. I guess that sounds more negative than I felt, but the whole thing just left me cold inside.
  12. no just normal ones. I asked at work and no one had heard of it either so it's not even a local thing. I was watching a youtube video and two americans hadn't heard the word sieve. Is that normal? I've put a photo of one in the spoiler. What would you call it if not a sieve?
  13. when I did a google search it came up with cages you put on top of your chimney to stop birds nesting in it. The meaning I had in mind was dried nasal mucus, or boogers if you will, though that is so American sounding to me and was not a word I'd heard as a child. I guess "nose dirt" would be the most common polite term here and bogey the most common children's term? Seems chimney crows is more my family vs the world.
  14. Does anyone here use the term "chimney crows" or at least did when you were younger?
  15. I like the look of this, it's described as a cross between Zelda and Stardew Valley, and there's no combat. There doesn't seem to be much in the way of previews for it yet, but the dev team are apparently mostly ex-rocksteady people and there's a pre-order offer on PSN. I'm really tempted.
  16. I already sent a friend request. You didn't sense it?
  17. As the Official PXOD Switch Correspondent I think I'm the only other mug early adopter.
  18. We enjoyed it - it wasn't something we were forced to do, it was nice to go out and get a bit of fresh air instead of just gorging on junk all day. But then we enjoyed going out for walks/to play in the countryside, hills and beaches, it's what we'd do most weekends. Minus the eggs.
  19. Ours used to be whoever could roll it furthest before it broke
  20. A snap general election. She kept that one quiet. It will be depressing hearing them all spout their vitriol again though at least it won't be for too long. It'll be a very big surprise if Conservatives don't get back in I'd imagine as Labour are a mess and Lib Dems seem to have gone from reviled to total obscurity. My only hopes are now we've had the EU fiasco referendum, UKIP will get less votes and SNP lose some ground to shut Sturgeon up for a bit.
  21. you will after you finish breath of the wild
