  1. Tesla has physical show rooms in New Jersey to sell the cars from so it seems that it is specifically that car companies can't sell their own cars. It just seems quite restrictive, which in my mind is not very American and also that they've modified the law specifically with Tesla in mind, unless I'm just reading badly written articles.
  2. Why are some states banning direct sales of Tesla cars, and how are they allowed to do this?
  3. Anyone played Master Reboot?

That was great. At least it used to be. I imagine it would hold up well to re-watching.

I started re-watching it last year. I understand a lot more of it than when I was a kid. Man to think the baddie was only a Megabyte.

terror-byte would be a cool name for a villain

  4. A lot of old Amiga games that work on your PC, without an emulator. Woohoo.
  5. Having seen the international women's day google doodle it reminded me of this song I hadn't heard in years. Turned out it was the same person.
  6. I just watched that barney video again and I freaking love it. Do you all see her video looking for tension tamer tea? That was hilarious. Here she is playing GTAV.I probably shouldn't admit, but it is pretty much exactly how I play a video game.
  7. here's an article about a "new" way to speed read. (actually originally developed in the 70s) It's interesting because on the Spritz site I can read their 600 wpm sample fine but when I read traditionally I am super slow, as I do the subvocalization thing mentioned in the article. I think this method may help me to just look at a word and take it in rather reading and comprehending each word individually. Having said that it would probably be quite relentless and draining for anything too long. I have dozens of articles I've saved instead of reading because of the length of them, and this would help you power through them instead of chucking them in a pile I'll never touch, but the fact it mentions novels, even light reading novels I think would be too much - I read to relax and I don't think "spritzing" is relaxing so I'd say more for information than enjoyment, but a pretty cool idea.
  8. Pancakes, of course. We had a bit of double cream that needed using so I whipped that up. I always forget I don't like whipped cream on hot food - when it melts it tastes too fatty and I feel gross now.
  9. The UK's Eurovision 2014 entry... I'm guessing we won't be hosting in 2015.
  10. Hey guys, it's Festivale today, so if you only play occasionally make today that occasion. I'll put some more updates in later tonight after work - I know you can't wait!
  11. I don't have the patients to be a doctor.
  12. How come you're not playing them in order? I guess these aren't your first play throughs?
  13. yeah, it wouldn't load at all for me this morning. and I''m fairly sure it's not down to my own stupidity this time.
  14. Ah thanks!I still was on "Content I have not viewed." But somehow had selected' items I follow' and I don't follow any threads. Never quite saw the point in that. I guess maybe if it was a high traffic forum?
  15. the speed seems OK at the moment, but view new content button isn't showing new content for me?

Is he talking about lobbyists? I'm always reading about them in american politics, but am I understanding that right? - they actually thought it was a bad idea when they were voting for it but because no one being paid to do so told them it was bad, they voted for it anyway?

The horrible law in Arizona has been vetoed by the Governor. Sounds like she may have personally approved of it but had to bow to pressure/logic: Interesting and short article on the subject. The video linked in it is worth watching too - it is absolutely cringe-inducing.
  18. I'd say Zelda and DK would be quicker to tick off your list, and more different from Fire Emblem so a bit of a palette cleanse before you delve into another in-depth game.
  19. Locations all the disney movies are set. I guess I never really thought about most of them but there is a reasonable spread. It seems less America-centric than I guess most studios would be.
  20. "continue where I left off", FTW.
  21. How's this for a dystopian image of the future? Someone in the company may be happy that the consoles are providing a presence for the company in your living room, but at some point investors arre going to want to see some hard cash out of it. You do have to wonder how long these big companies will continue to plough money into areas that aren't providing a good return, they certainly won't continue out of any sort of sentiment toward the gamers.
  22. I've treated myself to a fancy pants coffee machine*. It came in an absolutely a massive box so even though I'd checked the measurements I was a bit worried when I saw it that it wasn't going to fit - but I don't think it is too big for the space. The fruit isn't normally there either so it won't look so hemmed in. I've been wanting it for over a year and a coffee machine in general for even longer. For once my inability to commit to a decision paid off as it was a lot more than I wanted to pay for one but I didn't want a cheaper one that didn't do what I wanted, so I was in a stale mate but I ended up biting when I saw it for half it's original price, which was over £300 cheaper than I'd seen it anywhere else. However, the site I ordered it from went from saying out of stock to removing the page entirely so I was worried it was a price error and expected an email on Monday to say that my order had been cancelled. *Yes I know manual coffee machines make the best coffee, but I had one and it was hard to get consistent results, and you spend as long making and cleaning up that I didn't use it as often as I wanted. Other full auto systems had too many compromises for the amount they cost (don;t heat milk properly so your drink isn't hot and still needing some amount of cleanup after each drink being the main ones) . This one is pretty cool - it heat the milk in your cup so it's hotter than other auto systems and the cleans the wand itself so there in no cleanup at all.
  23. Just watched Compliance. Obviously it was uncomfortable to watch and makes you wonder what you'd do in that situation.
  24. that's really impressive. I used to love seeing what other people had come up with in the original LBP even more than the main game and I really appreciated it after I abandoned a mess of a roller coaster level I tried to make myself.
