Shame it's missing on the extra content. Zelda games seem to have moved towards minigames and away from sidequests (e.g. the item trading sequence in Link's Awakening). I was hoping since this was harking to the past it would have more of the sidequests I prefer. Never mind. "could have been better had they mixed it up a bit to require more than just a single primary tool per dungeon" Could that be a limitation due to the fact that you're renting the items so you'll only have one at a time? Would it be too expensive to rent two so people who keep dying wouldn't be able to afford it? Can you actually rent two at a time?

You say that but many of Nintendo's games sell steadily at full price for the life of the console. Other games drop in price to maintain sales when the initial marketing blitz is over and people are less excited for it. It's not unusual for a game to be half it's launch price a month or two later. You think if people were still willing to buy it at £40/$60 they wouldn't be selling it at that price? Maybe it's a lack of quality alternative game choices on Nintendo consoles, maybe it's that people are less likely to trade in a nintendo game so they don't flood the second hand market forcing prices down, maybe Nintendo has a lot of mum's buying games that don't know any better. Whatever it is it is definitely something and Nintendo would be mad not to capitalise on it

maybe i just think we should have free ps plus every time anyone can't access PSN.
-
They should have made everyone plus by default for one month when the system registered itself so they wouldn't have everyone trying to activate codes at once.

What are you listening to now?

I really want those games so bad - I wish they'd release them on the UK Play store.

I may have to do some research to see if I have a game that uses them. I'd like to have a go but I can't imagine being dexterous enough to use it though. -
Zelda games are all good in their own right, it's only if you look at the series as a whole that you see the need for change to freshen things up. This issue has been brought up in every review of a zelda game I've ever read so I don't know how you think it keeps getting free passes? The good scores are still justified. You could argue that with only one Zelda coming out per generation they are each aimed at a new set of gamers so the need to innovate is less, and they are bringing a unique experience to each console. There's been nearly as many AC games in one generation as we've had Zelda games in over 25 years. With them coming out every year, if it's not bringing something new to the table it is harder to justify it's existence and also to shake the feeling they're just milking a popular franchise.

By analogue, do you mean the face buttons used to have pressure sensitivity? I didn't realise that - I just thought they were pressed or not. -
can you unlock them all by playing without paying extra?

Can you follow people on PS4? I like how you can follow people who wouldn't accept friend requests (e.g. developers) on Miiverse.

Yeah, no point waiting for nintendo prices to drop but also no point buying a game you can't play yet. This is all a shame though because most of the reviews I've seen are saying it is one of the best Zeldas ever with a near perfect mix of traditional elements and new ideas

thanks, HH. I would be very nervous putting a disc in there - it sounds like it could damage it. and didn't MS refuse to acknowledge the problem when the 360 was scratching discs and not replace damaged ones?
-
ooh, what's the sound?

So did anyone buy this today? What are your first impressions Also I think I found the ugliest/most dated looking GIF on the internet.

I just watched a Lidl advert on TV for a three bird roast and the voice over was, "turkey, chicken and duck in one meal so everyone is happy. Apart from the turkey, chicken and duck." WTF? I know meat is butchered animals, but when you're reminded of that in adverts it's usually to say how nice their life was before they're killed not that they;re being slaughtered to sate your gluttonous appetites.

I'm hoping to buy an android phone soon and need something for my podcasts. I've got over 100gb of podcasts so I need to manage them on my computer rather than the phone. At the moment I use Zune with my Windows Phone. It knows which ones I've listened to on my phone and automatically removes it from the phone and syncs the next one next time I plug it in. Is there an equivalent that works that way with android, i.e. it knows which episodes I've listened to so I don;t have to remove them all manually? Would I have to install something on my phone too or does it know to treat podcasts differently to music with the built in player?

correct. Not only do they not stack if you have an active subscription,if you have a lapsed subscription (paid or previous trial) you cannot use a trial code on your account. So the only way you can use a trial code is if it is the first and only time you've used Plus.
-
Vecha did a god job of translating what I meant. I deleted a paragraph about a facebook promo that gave out free month long trials that pretty much no one could claim because the compensation package Sony gave out included some Plus months. It was too convoluted, but I guess I over-simplified.
-
Anyone who has had a PSN account since the outage will never be getting a free month whether they currently have an active subscription or not. I wonder if now you need it for multiplayer they will do the free weekends like live does.

Best enjoyed with the sound on. It is strangely calming for me.

lol, I'm sure the remaining villagers all made you feel suitably guilty. If you think you're not going to be playing it as often any more you should put the beautiful town ordinance in to effect that way even if the villagers all hate you at least you won't be confronted with all the weeds which can put you off going back.

if you want to get an even roast you can use a hot air popcorn maker. You're less likely to burn the beans in it and it blows the chaff out as well as it's roasting. Here's a link on about it.

I think this may be the ultimate cat GIF
