that's interesting. Not for me though. I wonder how the touch screen features of the vita games will work when you're playing them on the vita TV?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VWplhhktgqs at around 2.15 are they playing vita on a TV? Seems to be working from a little white box not the PS4 though? Has that been announced?

Yay - hope you feel good/confident about your decision. Where does that leave you on the XB1?

Assassin's Creed Liberation. I'm enjoying it buy it is buggy as the bayou swamp it's set in. The gameplay is good and remarkably similar to the main games, but seems to push you along through the story more forcefully. The main problem I have is with the fighting - I just can't get a hang of the countering which was my main way of fighting in the main games so is quite a setback. Luckily it's never exactly difficult so it's more just that it's less satisfying than anything else. I struggled with the trading too. I only managed to set my first ship a sail by accident even after resorting to the web for instructions. It's also a bit clunky in that you can select things on the touch screen but then have to press circle to go back instead of an on screen button. I think I'm going to find the multiplayer similarly baffling. I set up a home node then pressing on other nodes doesn't seem to give me any options to do anything. That's why I'm on here now - on my laptop trying to find out how the heck it works.

Ordered a 32GB vita card from Amazon last night. I have to wait a week for them to get stock in but it was £39.99 which I'm paying with a voucher I got for 7.5% off. So that ends up £6 cheaper than the next best price I could find. That's worth the wait for me. I've got a permanent warning on the vita screen that I've only got 40mb left on my current card so I'll finally be able to download some of the PLUS games I've been "buying".

I completed my fossil exhibit today Not sure if I get any sort of reward for all my philanthropic endeavours to educate the population of Koholint. But that is not why I did it (it sort of is).

Must be a big bag WATCH IT:- it's only 36 seconds long and it sort of ends how you expect it to but oh so much better.

OMFG. I'm trying to log in to rewards.xbox.com but it keeps logging in under my old gamertag. There's only a "sign in" button that logs me straight in without an option to input my username/email. There is no link for "not you?". I've closed the page deleted all MS and XBOX cookies and restarted Chrome, but it still logs me in as my old gamertag. I'm logged in on xbox.com as my current gamertag but visiting rewards from there still logs in as my old one. How the heck do I log in?!

Hmmm. I bought over 100,000 bells of turnips and took all my stuff off tables and display stands. Put the turnips on and thought I'd wait for a good price. Was not super happy to discover they've fixed that glitch and I now have spoiled turnips all over my house and museum and a lot of bells down the drain. I'm only glad I realised this as I was going to buy a load of tables and have a dedicated turnip table room in the museum!

I'd love to know why the Wii U version of that game hasn't dropped in price at all when retailers haven't even managed to sell through their pre-order versions of the game with the free lego figure yet.
-
That's cool. I'd love a controller for my laptop, but not enough to have another one laying around. I need to stay out of this thread or I'm not going to be able to keep myself from buying a PS4 sooner than I wanted to.

Is that real? He really doesn't seem to deserve any of the success he has/had.

at least you can pair up your lame new X/Y starter with an original starter in the new games. The worst thing about the direct I thought was the annual subscription for Pokebank. Cheeky bastards.

What are you listening to now?

Would have been helpful if they didn't choose the same name as an apparently much more famous American metal band. -
from ubi's site for the vita version: Exclusive Content: 5 touch maps and 2 heroes: Ray of Persia and Glob Cell obviously it doesn't say what's missing. don't forget you can use the touch screen goodness on the wii u version. wii u... wii u....

No, it's a VR headset so will have head tracking so as you move your head around the image moves with it. The one you linked is just a personal screen. Of course it could be based on that headset. Hopefully they'll be able to make it two full HD screens though since I'm hoping PS4 games will be full HD as standard.
-
so you can turn the VR bit of (i.e. the head tracking) and just use it as a personal 3D display for normal 3D games and blu rays.
-
Sony making a VR headset for PS4? Hopefully if it was for the PS4 it wouldn't be as dear as their home entertainment version and would also work as a standard 3d headset.

I didn't mean it was weird a boy would have a piercing - but I would imagine him asking a parent, not the other way around. I'd imagine a parent would normally only think to have a girl's ears pierced as it's more likely she'll want/have earrings the rest of her life. Is the hole noticeable? The only piercing I've removed is covered by stubble, I guess you're more aware of it than other people would be. Hell, lots of people don't even notice mine with the jewellery in! My ear piercings are through cartlidge so I'm guessing they (especially the orbital) are going to leave pretty obvious marks behind.
-
Your mum made you get your ear pierced? That's weird for a boy. How old were you? If I ever got a piercing (a big if) it would be my bird drawing. I'd struggle to decide whether to have it coloured in or not though... I do think about it every now and again.

doesn't stop being funny

I've never seen that. When is it used?

There's some comparison shots to an XL and an iPhone 5. So it's a lot smaller than it looks and it feels light and solid. They also so it is really comfortable in big and small hands, and the controls are great. So it seems it will give a great impression when you actually get your hands on it.
