I know that when you come down to it the only difference is aesthetic, but I've never had a cool special edition version of any console or handheld. Pretty much every device I own is plain old black. I'd like to have a cool version for once.

What do you guys think the odds are that Nintendo will put out more Majora's Mask New 3DS units? I mean after the launch, not before, because clearly I've lost my window to get it before. Since there aren't any New 3DS exclusive games just yet, I'm starting to wonder if I should just wait a bit on getting one in the hopes of getting a Majora version. If I do that, though, I won't be able to get it cheaper by trading my current 3DS. I suppose I could try selling it on eBay, but there's no guarantee there and it would be more of a hassle. Hm...decisions, decisions...

The remaster. I tried to torrent the original once a long time ago (yeah, I know, boooo!) but even then I couldn't really get it working right because my machine was too new. Actually, one puzzle is particular I thought of as obtuse was the ticket printer one for exactly the reason you just said. You have to get clues by looking at certain things in the environment, but it isn't always obvious what exactly Manny is looking at or that there are even other things he CAN look at. I had to break down and cheat for that one because apparently there's a clue you read off a plaque I didn't even know existed.

No. It's not good enough. That's exactly it. It's NOT good enough because Let's Players have no reason to agree to this when they can stream or record literally thousands of non-Nintendo games without having to give up 30% of the ad revenue. Nintendo has no leverage here. They need the youtubers more than the youtubers need Nintendo.

Beat Grim Fandango for the first time ever. I had always wanted to play it back in the day but by the time I had a PC that could run it the OS would no longer support it and copies of the game were impossible to get anyway without paying a ridiculous price. I did have to resort to a walkthrough a couple of times due to a couple of run-ins with glitches or very obtuse puzzles. Still, fun game with a great story. I wish they had adapted it into a movie like they were once rumored to be pursuing. I love the whole Dia de los Muertos aesthetic in general.

Even if they did have the right, it's just plain bad business. PewDiePie has already come out and said that Nintendo games are now on the bottom of his Let's Play list. Regardless of how you feel about PewDiePie, his channel has over 35 million subscribers. That's 35 million people he could have promoted Nintendo games to and now he won't.

Well Nintendo just rolled out a revenue sharing program for youtube channels where they take 30% of the ad revenue for any monetized channel that uses footage of their Wii U games, proving once again that Nintendo just does not fucking get how new media works.

It's less noticeable in the main games because everyone is highly specialized, meaning you'll be switching them out constantly depending on what elements you need. That's not really the case in Q, where everyone gets two Personas.

I started Persona Q. I'm enjoying it so far, but it commits the cardinal RPG sin of not leveling up your party evenly, which means that unless there's some special item or something I don't know about, I'm going to be pretty much stuck using Chie, Kanji, Zen/Rei, and Yukiko for the entire game. BAD Persona! Bad! At least I won't have to listen to Teddie's puns, I guess. Had I realized that at the start, though, I would have switched out Kanji for Naoto.

The two-plane thing is because of Guardian Heroes.

Damn it Nintendo, why do you always run out of the special editions of everything you sell before they even release? I really wanted the Majora's Mask version of the New 3DS but I can't even preorder the damn thing.

Fifteen dollars for one monster? Locking another monster behind a pre-order? Yeah, no, that is completely indefensible, especially in a title that is based entirely around its multiplayer. Shit like that would be gauche even in a free to play game, but asking for 60 dollars on top of that is practically an insult. For fuck's sake, you literally get more value out of buying a fucking Skylander than you do paying 15 dollars for one monster. At least there you're getting a figurine out of the deal, even if it is a cheap piece of crap. It costs less, too. Fuck Evolve and fuck 2K. I hope this game crashes and burns like the whore it is.

I beat Shadow of Mordor. Pretty good for a licensed game. It only has one original bone in its body (the nemesis system) but fortunately for it that one bone happens to be really, really good. The ending was a pretty big letdown, though. Oh well, still had a lot of fun with it.

It's completely retarded, I agree, but it was the only way I could get Phoenix Wright and I got Animal Crossing cheap thanks to that Fire Emblem/SMT IV deal.

If you do that, remember to transfer any digital games off the old 3DS first. I'm pretty sure you can buy the new one at the normal price, do the transfer at home, them take the old one in and get a price adjustment.

I believe you can run virtual console games off of it.

Well I already know I'm gonna be getting one of these so I hope it at least doesn't cost too much. At least I should be getting a tax rebate soon.

I borrowed my friend's copy of Shadow of Mordor. I have to admit, even though it shamelessly rips off Batman and Assassin's Creed, I'm still having a ball with it. It probably helps that this year's Assassin's Creed sucked balls, which makes this look that much better by comparison.

I am getting really sick of seeing people on social media making excuses for the Charlie Hebdo shooters by saying it doesn't matter because it was a bunch of white people or even that they were "asking for it" by printing satirical cartoons. Fuck you for a thousand years with a thousand dicks if this is the way you think.

Fuck yeah, I love that movie. Might be my favorite Tarantino film out of all of them, at least until Hateful Eight comes out.
