  1. See, to me that just reads like an excuse for not bothering to think up anything better. These aren't grand, sprawling vistas we're exploring here. They're narrow corridors. I'm betting the entire series is narrow corridors. The dungeons themselves are not interesting, so I have little reason to bother mapping it out 100% if the game won't even acknowledge I did it. It doesn't even have to be an item like in PQ. Millennium Girl just enables the warping once you finish mapping a floor, which is good enough, but if the game doesn't care that I finished a map, why should I? I will concede two of your points though. Firstly, the characters in PQ are definitely caricatures of their normal selves. Still, there's a mystery at the story's core that makes me curious. It might turn out to be dogshit, but at least for now I want to see where it's going. I also agree that having to physically walk on every tile, even the trap ones, to get 100% is total horseshit. If I draw it right, that should be good enough. Oh, I forgot one other thing that bothered me. No run button? In an RPG? Come on.
  2. Is someone in here doubting Andy Serkis? Because that's a paddlin'.
  3. It only happens when you go back to the first floor. Party members can also become sick, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't happen until after you leave and they'll be fine if you let them rest for a couple days, so get as much mileage out of Tartarus as you can in one night. The calendar does not give you a lot of free time to build up social links so you don't want to go to Tartarus more than a couple nights a week if you can help it. Considering that, it's not a big deal if party members get sick, although it does mean you can't work on their links until they're well, so you'll have to focus on someone else.
  4. Looks like P5 is set in Shibuya/Tokyo. Social links are back, if there was any doubt, and some dungeons won't be randomly generated. It's interesting how they're bringing back guns and demons. At least, they sure seemed like demons in the trailer. I hope that doesn't mean negotiation is back too, though. That was the main thing I hated in the older games and in SMT since it's nothing but trial and error. Oh, and don't worry too much about fatigue, Kenshi. Not your problem if your party members are being a bunch of bitches. I just wouldn't go to any boss fights with a party that isn't fresh. Aside from that you'll be fine.
  5. Paints floors I guess? I never noticed it doing anything else. In Persona Q and Millennium Girl it paints floors you walk on and draws walls that are directly beside you, although you still have to draw the walls you don't touch as well as fill in all the doors and landmarks yourself, which I don't really mind. Having to stop to draw all the walls after every room is so tedious, though.
  6. How many people have played this? I have a friend who is a total nerd for this series and she swears up and down that EO4 is better than Persona Q, which I am currently playing, but I just don't see it in the demo. No sell all button, inferior mapping tools, auto map doesn't fill in the walls you walk by, no story whatsoever, completed maps yield no rewards, FOEs have the infuriating ability to move during normal battles and can trap you in corners, no mention of being able to skip past completed floors...Am I missing something here? Because I even liked the Millennium Girl demo more than this one.
  7. Destiny has clans now? Like, actual clans?
  8. I don't mean to doublepost, but I wanted to get everyone's input on something. Let's suppose for a moment that I hypothetically knew an algorithm that would let you register a Wii Mini and get an extra 100 coins without actually going out and buying a Wii Mini. Would sharing said algorithm be frowned upon here?
  9. If anyone needs just those few extra Club Nintendo coins to get a download, here's a list of demos that give you a few coins each. http://www.reddit.com/r/Club_Nintendo/comments/2uco1l/chart_documenting_free_eshop_games_that_grant/
  10. Holy shit, it's still hard to log into the Club Nintendo site. STILL.

I logged in and the only game I could afford is Super Smash Bros 64, only to learn I'm going to need Wii gadgets. Lol so it became a useless buy, I'm not getting wiimotes/classic controllers for ONE game

Wally, not totally useless, assuming N64 VC games will eventually come to Wii U, you'll be able to upgrade it for a dollar or two.

  11. I actually like both Pegg and Frost, although I probably haven't seen them in as many things as you have.
  12. Would you say it's a good replacement for Joystiq? I've been looking for a new source for game news and I'm not about to go back to Kotaku.
  13. I enjoyed that movie too, but lately I'm starting to realize that James Franco is way funnier than Seth Rogen. It feels like whenever they do a movie together Seth is always playing the straight man while James is the one actually doing comedy.
  14. Yeah you're probably right about the New Game+ thing. I just remember being able to change it at one point or another.
  15. I believe you can switch, but it's been a while.
  16. I thought dualshockers only did Playstation news?
  17. HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT IT'S FINALLY HAPPENING! IT'S FINALLY HAPPENING FOR REAL!
  18. I tried the demo for Wonderful 101 but I wasn't a fan of how you have to look away from the screen to see what you're drawing. I still have about 560 coins or so but I'm not sure what to do with them. Originally my plan was to get two 3DS games but I decided to go for that Majora's Mask bag after thinking about how it would probably be the first thing to go. I doubt I'll get 100 coins before June, especially since all Nintendo products going forward will not have a code, meaning I'd have to buy old games and hardware to get any coins and I can't think of any I'd want to get.
  19. For me it depends on the show's themes. Most shows I'll watch on subtitles, but the ones that are heavily influenced by Western culture or that are about Western characters tend to be better in the dub. Full Metal Alchemist is an example off the top of my head.
  20. You know what, you chose wisely. Paper Mario: Sticker Star sucked.
  21. New Space Dandy episodes also technically aired in the states before they aired in Japan.
  22. It was working last time I checked, though it did take me a couple tries.
