So I got on my PS4 today and it was making me do all the first-time setup stuff again that I had already done the day before after changing hard drives. I thought to myself "Oh god, all my data is gone" but everything I downloaded last night was still there, even the stuff it was set to download while it was in rest mode. What's up with that?

I rented it on my PS4 using the youtube app. Well, actually I had to rent it using my PC on youtube and then I watched it on my HDTV using the youtube PS4 app.

Okay, I really like the whole "start playing a game before it finishes downloading" feature that's become a thing in the last year or so, but there needs to be some consistency here. While reinstalling all my PS4 games onto my hard drive, the download list in the main menu will say it's finished, except it's not finished. It's just "here's a certain amount we dictate the game will be playable at." The problem is, I can't tell just how much of the game is playable from that. Injustice has the story mode installed once the bar is full, which is fine, but Plants vs. Zombies has nothing but a glorified tutorial when the game hits 60%. What I'd like to see is the download bars marked with segments or something so you can see at which percentage the game will be playable and still know how much you have to go. If the download page came with information listing which parts of the game are accessible at which points in the download, that would be even better.

Some cross-save games have separate trophy lists, but when you share the save between platforms it unlocks the trophy an additional time.

It's been a while but I don't think Strider has that option.

Is the sound kind of fucked up with Strider? It never sounded quite right to me, even after reinstalls. The sound effects are too low and the music is too high. I dunno if it's just me.

So I got around to seeing The Interview too. I was planning to see it in a local independent theater with a friend, but the show was completely sold out so we ended up going back to my place and renting it on youtube instead (Why only youtube? Why not PSN? Blech.) Anyway, I'm of the same opinion as Wally. It's not as funny as Pineapple Express or This is the End but I wasn't bored or anything. It'll sound weird to say this for a comedy but I was more invested in the story than the jokes. I wanted to see if the writers had the balls to actually go through with killing Kim Jong Un. It was alright, but I still hope it becomes a huge success, not just for the sake of sticking it to Kim but because this whole digital distribution thing was something I thought would take decades to become a legit practice for major film releases. I want this movie to make a ton of money so Sony and then other studios will finally go "hey, maybe this same day digital release thing isn't such a bad idea after all."

I see. I guess I was just lucky then. I'd be surprised if Sony doesn't extend the sale a few days once psn is back to normal. I mean they are obviously aware of what's happening. Ending the sale while psn is down would just mean the hackers win. Plus, EVERYONE would be super pissed at them.

I bought it on my PS4. Mind you, this was in the wee hours of the morning, so maybe those dumbass hackers all went to bed or something. I dunno. I assumed that the network was just fixed now.

Wolfenstein is awesome. I recommend playing on uber, as it forces you to really make use of the cover and lean mechanics. Of course if you just want to go full Rambo on a lower difficulty it's still pretty good.

Does the first person mode make much difference? If I already beat the game once, is there enough in the remaster to make it worth playing a second time?
