  1. I already have a Wii U, so I'm just going to get that one. I'm betting most Wii U owners will do the same unless they're hardcore fans who are getting the Switch at launch. I gotta justify that Wii U purchase somehow! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk
  2. Thunderjaw? Stormbird? This is sounding like a playable hair metal video. Man, I want this game. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk
  3. Good god, I haven't even finished Nioh yet and now there's Zelda, Horizon, possibly Ghost Recon, and then Persona 5 in April. 2017 is already much better than 2016 for games.

Yeah, you're right. DOOM was pretty good.

It's almost as good as 2015 for me, which is ridic, because that was my fave year

Horizon and Zelda alone are god-tier games

The last few years have been solid for me in terms of game quality. I was almost caught up with my backlog when all of a sudden... D:

  4. I know what you mean. I started it a while back and I think it was the second or third boss that started giving me red flags.
  5. Is it necessary to plug your DS4 in first every time you want to use it wirelessly via bluetooth? I synced my DS4 with my PC and it does recognize it wirelessly, but it only works with steam's native support if I plug it in first and wait until the light turns blue. It's not a huge problem, but it would be nice if I didn't always have to do that. I should note that I always turn it off when I'm done by holding down the PS button for 10 seconds. I don't know if that somehow desyncs it, but the controller doesn't turn off on its own and I don't know how to fix that with the PC.
  6. I kickstarted this game years ago and now it's finally here. I just got my steam code in my email.
  7. Jesus Christ. Since I liked Bloodborne I thought I'd give Dark Souls another chance, but this is the worst PC port I've ever seen in my life. Even with fixes installed, I still couldn't get borderless windowed or my PS4 controller to work, and that was WITH DS4Windows. I spent about 30 minutes struggling with it and then requested a refund. Fuck this.

Lol, disable the game's AA and use the one from DSfix instead.

Ah right. Still though, I cannot exit the game without being stuck on a black screen. It's the primary reason why I stopped playing years ago.

  9. Jojo's...I mean Persona 5 Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk
  10. Reaction to the steam version seems pretty mixed. This might be one of those times when the PC port gets the shaft. I've had no problems with the ps4 version. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk
  11. Ghost Recon beta is kinda fun. Too bad they're releasing it at the worst possible time.

  12. FFVIII is the only game I ever used a trainer on because fuck spending hours just drawing magic. Oh, and don't forget the extremely long summon cutscenes that you can't skip because you have to spend the whole time mashing square to boost your summon's power. Oh, but don't mash it at the wrong time! Otherwise your summon boost goes back down to zero and all that time was wasted. God damn this game had so many stupid ideas. I'd rather play FFXIII again than go back to that.
  13. I've heard they're redesigning it anyway so even if you did want one, now might not be the time. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk
  14. I have a friend who bought the steam controller and he says he regrets it. Take that however you will. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk
  15. Does anyone have any good sites to recommend as an alternative to CDKeys? I'm still fine with the site, but it would be nice to have more options.

  17. Looks like I'm getting this after Nioh. 2017 is turning out to be a pretty good year for Playstation exclusives. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
  18. I highly doubt that they put together a new account system that tracks and redownloads all your purchases in less than a month. Even if they weren't finished, they had to have at least known that they were working on it.
  19. Nioh has an option to let you turn down the graphics a bit in order to get 60 FPS gameplay. Every console game should have this in this day and age.
  20. Good grief, Nioh is even harder than Bloodborne was. It took me a whole day just to beat the first mission's boss, and that was WITH people I had summoned to help me. Even the overleveled people kept getting killed. I eventually beat the bastard by using hit and run moves, but damn was it hard. I chalk a lot of that up to the combat. Compared to your average Souls game, there's a lot more going on here you have to work with. Each weapon can be wielded in high stance for power, low stance for speed, or mid stance for a balance of the two. So not only do you need to pick the right weapon for the job, but also the right way to use it. That's on top of the magic and ninja skills you can learn, which have their own upgrade categories to manage. As if that's not enough, if you run out of stamina then you can't even move until you're out of the red, but you can instantly get back lost stamina if you hit R1 at the right time after an attack. Mastering all of these systems is mandatory to get anywhere with this game, and it sure as hell isn't easy to grasp at first, but damn does it look cool when you figure it out.
  21. Bloodborne I had a much better time with this than I did with Demon's Souls, though some of the things I griped about with that game still apply here. It's too easy to get lost, there's no attempt whatsoever to convey the story to the player, and farming for healing items can be a chore. Also, this game introduced a new thing I hate with the Frenzy status, which fills up a bar EXTREMELY quickly if you just walk too close to certain kinds of enemies, taking off NINETY PERCENT of your health when it fills up. Walking away doesn't even save you because the bar continues to fill up until you've taken the full amount of frenzy damage. Bullshit! And the items to cure frenzy are really expensive, too! That said, I didn't have to hateplay my way through this one. I enjoyed it for the most part, especially since the more aggressive combat helped with the pacing.
  22. Why the hell was this not part of the Switch conference? This is a HUGE deal. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk
  23. I'm liking Bloodborne a lot more than I liked Demon's Souls, although it still has its share of bullshit. I'm kind of tempted to pick up Nioh after I finish to try another game in this style.

Bloodborne really clicked for me right out the gates. It had a speed and rhythm to it that was good. I'll be starting Nioh after i finish World of FF, but most of what I've about it has been quite positive.

The only thing that truly bothered me about Bloodborne was Blood Vial farming. If you ever reached a boss who gave you difficulty, you more than likely had to spend a few trips through Lower Yharnam collecting Blood Vials as there was no renewable health recovery item like the Estus Flask.

Blood Vial and Silver Bullet farming was an odd decision. Especially when Estus was such a good implementation. It just seems so unnecessary.
