  1. Looks like they're opening up more to the idea of R-rated comic book movies thanks to the success of Deadpool. That's good, especially since they seem to really be taking advantage of the added freedom instead of just exploiting the rating to be edgy like Batman v Superman.
  2. Danganronpa really works better as a VN, if you ask me. Without that interactivity it loses something. In other news, One Punch Man is officially getting a second season. It was announced in the recent manga chapter. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk
  3. I got the Resident Evil Remaster on PS+ to play through this month and Jesus Christ, I'm remembering why I always had trouble getting into the original game. All this inventory management and running to the item box and getting lost and turned around is super tedious. I'm trying not to consult a step by step walkthrough because there's not much fun to be had in that, but having no idea where to go is pretty frustrating.
  4. So apparently the sequel to Dangaronpa 2 isn't a game but an anime to finish out the story instead? That's a little weird but okay.
  5. Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders This is the newest DC Animated movie and boy is it a breath of fresh air. With all the grimdark plaguing Batman recently I didn't realize just how much I needed a return to the silver age silliness of the Adam West age. This movie was a great adaptation of that series too. It's goofy and funny without straying too far into self-parody. It took itself as seriously as the original show did, and it also included a few pretty great references and jabs at other, darker Batman adaptations. I enjoyed this one pretty much from beginning to end, and I hope we get to see another one like this in the future.
  6. Watching Bob Ross is a great way to relax right before bed.

  7. Five bucks on steam and I used to love the first two entries in the series so what the hell. I hear this is the last good one before Sims 4 takes a huge dump on the franchise anyway.
  8. That's what I love about Jojo. It doesn't care how bizarre it has to get in the name of fun.
  9. Why? Seriously, why. The manga has been on break long enough. Plus, it's delaying a great manga to coincide with a terrible anime. It's not like people wouldn't want to read it while the anime is on break. Does Japan actually think it's a good adaptation?
  10. I bought myself a new mattress today. It was long overdue, but I got a pretty great deal. I got a 2,300 dollar hybrid mattress on clearance for 650. I did have to take the floor display, but the store is only a few months old and I figure a slightly used 2,300 dollar mattress is still going to feel better and last longer than a brand new 600 dollar one. I also got a nice memory foam pillow since I have back and neck pain. It was expensive, but the guy took fifty bucks off since I was getting the mattress too. I also bought a new pad for it since the old one is in tatters. And I got a new strap for my watch since the old one broke. All in all it was an expensive but very productive day. I am looking forward to actually sleeping comfortably. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk

Woops, me not changing the month (I'll be first to say adding new entries to the calendar is kinda clunky)

  12. I finished the Witcher 3 expansions. Hearts of Stone was interesting enough but Blood and Wine blew it away in terms of content.
  13. All of the Battlefield 4 premium DLC is free until September 19th. You can also get the PC version of the base game for 9.99 if you don't own it already by using the code Origin50 at checkout.
  14. Is anyone still reading Attack on Titan? Because they finally got to the damn basement and...
  15. Hello, old friend. It's good to be back.
  16. Mad Max So this is an unusual one. The game's story missions can probably be beaten in around 15-20 hours, but that's if you are really good at the game. If you're not, you'll probably spend a lot of time doing side missions and outposts to build up your scrap to upgrade your car to make it more formidable in the story missions. There is so much extra stuff to go through in this game that if you wanted to get everything it would probably take you well over 100 hours. There is WAY more to do in this wasteland than you need to do to finish the game, which I find weird because it's all this extra work the developers did that really wasn't necessary. A lot of it is just raiding outposts and scavenging ruins anyway. It's fun but it gets tedious after a while. The car combat is easily the best part of the game, and rightfully so. There are also a ton of ways to upgrade and customize your car. You won't be doing any Forza style decals, of course. This IS a post-apocalypse game, but by the end you'll go from a weak little rustbucket to a heavily armored death machine on wheels. It's pretty cool. The on-foot combat is...well, it's another Arkham ripoff. It's alright, and it works, but don't expect a ton of originality here. I definitely enjoyed the game, but it's best played in short bursts, I think. If you spend hours and hours at a time grinding for scrap to upgrade your car with it'll get really monotonous. I should also point out that I got this game for around 6 dollars on CD keys, and it was absolutely worth that price.
  17. Square Enix told them to shove in microtransactions two weeks before the game was done and insisted on the breach mode because they were worried players would get bored playing the campaign.
  18. Anyone find this easter egg?
  19. Mad Max: Fury Road I didn't bother seeing this one in theaters because at the time I was totally burnt out on the post-apocalypse genre, but playing the game put me in the mood to finally watch it. I gotta say, I respect an action movie that concerns itself less with suspension of disbelief or realism and more with just being completely balls to the wall badass.
  20. I've been under a lot of stress recently and most of the shows I watch are between seasons right now, so I've been looking for a nice, feelgood animated show I can watch while I relax and get comfy. After looking at the current trends I stumbled upon a show called The Loud House. It's a sitcom about a boy who lives with ten girls, which isn't that original a concept but it seemed fairly popular so I gave it a shot and I actually really enjoy it. What I like is that unlike most shows of this type, the main character, Lincoln, isn't just whining about how annoying his sisters are all the time. His sisters aren't constantly bullying him because he's the only boy either. The show never implies for even a second that the siblings don't all love and support each other, even when they fight, which is actually rather refreshing for a concept like this. Most of the conflicts and plotlines come from the difficulties of living in such a large family, regardless of gender. And while the sisters are mostly defined by their individual quirks (this one is an athlete, this one wants to be a comedian, this one is smart, this one is dumb, this one's a goth), they're all so likable that it doesn't even bother me. I wouldn't say it's brilliant or anything, but it's a nice show that makes me smile while I watch it. I also really like how the backgrounds are drawn to look like a Sunday comic strip.
  21. Man I picked a good time to get into this game.
  22. I figured I shouldn't replay Deus Ex until they get out DX12 support and a few more patches, so right now I'm playing Mad Max, which I got super cheap a while back. Do you like clearing outposts? Then boy do I have a game for you. It's not bad, but there are so many places to rummage through and clear out that it makes Ubisoft games look conservative by comparison.
