  1. Oh, nevermind. I did that. Now that you mention it, I thought it was kinda weird that the place was covered in all these mines and shit. But yeah, you fucked up! Best side-mission of the entire game, imho. At least, out of the ones I played. Required some actual detective work but without the game just pointing you straight to it with objective markers.
  2. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Took me about 20 hours when you include all the side missions. I don't know if there are missions I missed but I did all the ones I came across and I feel like I discovered most, if not all of them. My feelings are mixed. 20 hours is an okay length for most games, I suppose, but I was expecting a lot more out of a Deus Ex game. The ending is also nothing but sequel bait and the game only having two proper boss fights, one of which was a side mission, was kind of a letdown. I know bosses were the weak point of the last game, but I thought they would try to fix them, not downplay them to almost nothing. It's still a good game, but I'm glad I only paid 36 bucks for it.
  3. Okay is it just me or is it really hard to combine the mine template with grenades to make mines? I've tried combining over and over and it's only managed to work once. It's a pain in the ass because I really need those mines.
  4. I've encountered a bug in this game that's becoming a real problem. When I load a save and hit the space bar to start the game, it also reads it as me hitting the space bar IN the game. So basically, if my last save was behind cover in an area full of enemies, as soon as the save loads Adam vaults over the cover and exposes himself. It's causing me all kinds of headaches. Is this happening to anyone else?
  5. Never thought I'd see this franchise come back. The original is actually a really fun co-op game so this could be nice to play with friends. Hopefully they actually have online co-op this time too. The only re-release of the original to get that feature was the PS3 version which is a shame because I'd love to play it on steam with other people.
  6. I'm still on the default. It's just weird because I never had that issue until about a month ago. Why now?
  7. I have one minor gripe with this game in that you can't use the tab key to back out of menus. You have to either reach up to hit escape or you have to click on the back button. It's minor, but considering how often you're in menus it gets kind of annoying.
  8. Has anyone else been having this weird issue with steam lately where when you alt-tab out of a game and then go back to it, it brings the overlay up when you hit the shift key? It only does it once so it's more of an annoyance than anything, but it didn't used to do that to me.
  9. The port seems to be working decently. I have to keep MSAA turned off to turn everything else up to ultra, but it performs pretty well if I do that. I also turned off bloom, vsync, motion blur, and chromatic aberration since I don't like that crap anyway. I dunno, I might try playing around with it a little more.
  10. Kubo and the Two Strings I wouldn't be surprised if you've never heard of this movie because they did almost no advertising for it, but this is the newest and, sadly, probably the last film from Laika, makers of Coraline and ParaNorman. As a piece of animation, this is probably the most technically impressive stop-motion film I have ever seen. Given the state of the medium, it has a good chance of being the most advanced stop motion film ever made many years from now. They built a puppet that's over six feet tall for this thing! Anyway, the movie itself is a Japanese fairy tale about a boy with magic origami powers named Kubo who has to find mystical armor to protect himself from a vengeful moon god with the help of a talking monkey, a beetle samurai, and a little paper man. How can you not be curious with a premise like that? The story, as I just said, is a fairy tale so it probably won't do a whole lot to surprise you, but it has some surprisingly good action scenes for stop motion and on a whole it's just plain fun to watch all this animation wizardry happening right in front of you. If I judge it purely on the merits of the writing, I'd place it in between Coraline and ParaNorman, but it's worth seeing just for the spectacle.
  11. Only 41? Why not 42? IT'S NOT GOOD ENOUGH! IT'S ALL DOOMED! DOOMED! DOOOOOOOOOMED!
  12. Finished with DOOM just in time to start preloading this.
  13. Why can't language packs be optional installs? It's so much space that I'm never going to have any use for.
  14. I beat DOOM 2016 again, but this time on the pc. I rushed through it on the PS4 because it was a Redbox rental, but after I actually bought it I decided to take my time and get every secret, every collectible, and every optional challenge. Took me about 20 hours to 100% this game, which is perfectly reasonable for an FPS. I hope they do a sequel because this is one of the best shooters I've played in a long time.
  15. Is the hub area bigger, at least? If it's bigger than the previous game then I can excuse only having one. Otherwise that is a huge letdown.
  16. Dying Light: The Following It's an interesting expansion. While parkour is still around, the landscape is mostly flat so the focus is now on driving upgradeable dune buggies. I definitely give them points for trying something new, and for the most part it works. The downside is that despite driving off-road vehicles, the game strongly discourages you from going off road. The terrain is rocky, there are roadblocks everywhere, and there's no minimap so most of the time the best route is going to be the roads. The story is better, though the ending still kind of sucks. Either way, there's enough improvement here that I will probably buy the sequel, assuming that they leave in the 4 player co op. I definitely enjoyed it more than Dead Island. 17. Are they going to be calling this the Kalos Screw Job?
  18. Not exactly game related but apparently the Pokemon anime fans are salty as hell right now after it seemed like Ash/Satoshi was finally going to win a Pokemon league for once (the episode was even titled "Kalos League Victory!") after an entire season of buildup, let alone almost 20 years of the status quo, only to have victory snatched away from him in the very last round of the finals by a Deus Ex Machina for his opponent. I do believe it is time to accept that Ash is never, ever, EVER going to win a pokemon league.
  19. It's only 25% when I look...was this only going for a few hours?
  20. I'm still not totally sure about the combat. It was rather dull in that weird demo/episode they released a little while ago. Clearly they've made some changes since then but will it be enough? Guess I'll find out. I mean, it's not like I'm not going to buy Final Fantasy XV after all this time. Also, press to attack is weird to me. It makes sense for Japan since that's the button they use to confirm everything over there, but I'm surprised they aren't changing it to for the US release like how they changed it to for all the other FF games after VII. It's a minor nitpick, but it still bugs me. I'm so used to using to attack in pretty much every action game these days.
