  1. I thought Daenerys said the dothraki weren't going? Did I mishear her?
  2. I went ahead and bought it, though that digital only crap does rub me the wrong way. It's either that or nothing, though, and any sort of Jojo merch is pretty rare as it is.
  3. The PC version of Mad Max is 9.92 on CD Keys. Edit: Make that 8.92
  4. Finding any excuse to flash back to earlier scenes and a ton of crowd reactions, for the most part. Also, the opening is really long (now) and every episode starts with both a summation of the series' premise, which is totally unnecessary by episode 700, and a lengthy recap of the previous episode. This can take up to six or seven minutes per episode. Still a pretty good series, though. The manga is just way better with pacing. On the plus side, it does make catching up easier since each episode is really more like twenty minutes long seeing that you can skip all that crap. I got Little Pirate into the series a while back and it took maybe roughly six months to catch up from the beginning at four or five episodes a day.
  5. In One Piece's case it's true there aren't many filler episodes for a series of its length, but the issue cropping up recently is that the anime has gotten so dangerously close to catching up with the manga that the story is padded to hell and back, and for the most part entire episodes are devoted to covering a single manga chapter. Since the average One Piece chapter is around 20 pages, give or take, you can imagine how this results in a ton of unnecessary fluff that gets packed in to fill in the other half of the episode. I still watch the series and I still enjoy it thanks to the really great story and characters, but it's a definite problem that's impossible not to notice when comparing it to more recent animes like the aforementioned Boku no Hero and Jojo, which move the story along at a brisk pace.
  6. Season 2 confirmed! I have to say, I appreciate that they confirmed a second season right at the end of the first one, unlike Attack on Titan which took forever. Also, is it just me or is this an uncommon trend for anime? Most anime I saw always either did one season and then never adapted the manga any further (like Berserk) or they adapt the whole thing but never take breaks so there's a lot of filler to get through (like One Piece). I honestly feel like the more western style of doing a season, then taking a break to give the mangaka a chance to get new material out is the best way to do anime these days. While it does suck having to wait, it also means less need to pad episodes or do pointless filler. I've read the whole Boku no Hero Academia series so far and I can say that season one has basically no filler in it. What small changes or additions they did make was for the better, and as is there's easily enough manga material for three or four seasons right now. The only series I've seen that's had a more faithful manga-to-tv adaptation was Jojo, and that manga has been around for almost 30 years so there's no risk of filler anytime soon. I hope other studios take note of this. As much as I hate waiting for new episodes, it's better than slowing down the show's story to a snail's pace.
  7. That's strange. Most people prefer Battle Tendency over Phantom Blood, but Stardust Crusaders is when stands are introduced and the whole tone of the series shifts dramatically from there. Stands are pretty entertaining, though, and they facilitate some pretty good battles just because their powers are so unusual. I wish I could explain it but it would be spoiling some of the best moments.
  8. Don't feel like linking all the images but I got a few things in the steam sale. DOOM (2016) Final Doom Chaos on Deponia Sega Genesis Classics Collection Pack 5 Ghostbusters (It was like 2 bucks!)
  9. Someone from the UK explain to me just what exactly this separation will mean for the UK.
  10. I just checked out of curiosity and this wasn't even in the top fifty in steam sales. What the hell happened with this game? Four million dollars and almost three years and this was the best they could do? I may not be a developer but I will never accept that what they put out is supposed to cost four million dollars to make. Plus, with all the delays they had you'd think the end result would at least not be such a glitchy, crashing mess. There's a story behind this that I would love to hear. Seriously, I would watch a documentary about what really happened during the making of this game because there had to be some kind of shenanigans going on. Probably didn't help that they were announcing a friggin' animated series before the game was even close to done. I mean talk about putting the cart before the horse.
  11. That I don't know. You could always ask them, I suppose, though I don't know why you'd need to preorder this far in advance anyway.
  12. Right. I don't know why senators came out.
  13. You can get Mankind Divided for 36.97 on cdkeys right now. Just saying. It seems a lot simpler and the price is pretty much just as good.
  14. For those who haven't been following, the Democratic Senate is currently doing a sit-in on the House in an attempt to force a vote on a gun control bill.
  15. Alright, who bought into the hype?
  16. I really like this Gremlin D.va thing that's been taking off.
  17. Seeing that we just had E3 and all, it seems like a good time to make use of this thread again.
  18. Despite doing the same thing, comparing the streaming of the ps4 and the Wii U is like apples and oranges. One of them is meant to work over long distances and the other isn't. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk
  19. I've never really been able to get the hang of Tracer. I don't really understand just what her role is supposed to be.
  20. I suppose I enjoyed my Wii U enough to justify the 200 I spent on it, but Nintendo has definitely been dropping the ball enough lately to make me hold off for a good while on the NX, whatever it is. It'll also take more to convince me this time than it did to make me buy the Wii U.
  21. I use komik. Don't know if that's available on the iPad.
