  1. Until Dawn is 18.99 at Target
  2. I am trying really hard to get through System Shock so I can play System Shock 2 but even with the enhanced edition, it is really hard to like this game. This might be the most atrocious first person interface I have ever seen, and I doubt it would have seemed much better if I played it at release. It's also really easy to get lost and you will frequently be low on health, which means constant saving and reloading since the enemies hit like a truck. I have a personal policy not to skip entries in a series with connected plotlines, but I am really tempted to make an exception here.
  3. Why did the servers have to go down again right after I went out specifically to catch pokemon today? I walked around for hours for nothing! I couldn't even check into the local pokestop!
  4. There are a few things about this game I don't quite get. 1) What's with the green circle inside of the wild pokemon? Is that just for show or is it a timing based thing for when you're supposed to hit it with the ball? 2) The app does notify you when a pokemon is nearby even if your phone is on standby, right? I was walking around earlier with my phone in my pocket and didn't find a single one. 3) Are pokemon locations randomized? Or am I actually going to have to go to the beach to get a water type? 4) Do day/night cycles affect spawns? This is the first time I wish a mobile game had a manual.
  5. CAN I PLEASE JUST PICK A FUCKING NAME ALREADY?! I'VE BEEN PUTTING IN NAMES FOR THE PAST HOUR AND EVERY SINGLE ONE HAS BEEN TAKEN.
  6. I bought and just beat the story mode for Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven. Obviously, this is a fanservice game that only manga readers can fully appreciate, but for a fanservice game the story was surprisingly well thought out. It helps that it was written by the series creator, I'm sure, but unlike most anime based games the plot here isn't just some lame excuse to get the characters together like it was in Jump Stars. It actually makes sense within the rules of the series. Depending on how you look at it, you might even consider it canon, though that may be a stretch. Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised. I'd like to go for the platinum trophy now, but half the trophies are hidden and nobody has translated the full list yet.
  7. It's her own fault for tying herself to an iOS phone.
  8. Aaaand the servers are down. Of course they are. Why wouldn't they be?
  9. Dying Light: The Following - Enhanced Edition System Shock: Enhanced Edition Divinity: Original Sin - Enhanced Edition I guess you could say I was looking to enhance my steam sale experience this year.
  10. Finally beat Witcher 3 after 74 hours. Man, this is one of, if not THE best open world game I've ever played. I went through the whole trilogy over the course of a few months since, as some of you my recall, my last PC couldn't play the first game for some stupid reason. Having the events of previous games fresh in my mind got me really invested in Geralt's story, and in the end I was relatively satisfied with how it all came to a close. It feels good to finally finish an epic trilogy like this, though I definitely plan on getting the expansion pass for the third game. Excluding Fallout 4, I haven't bought a season pass in YEARS, so that's saying something.
  11. Everything I'm reading says they're only releasing Phantom Blood. It's still better than nothing, but I'm hoping to see Battle Tendency and Stardust Crusaders get proper releases as well. That WB DVD set is dogshit.
  12. You'd think a legendary manga like Berserk wouldn't have any problems getting decent funding. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk
  13. I feel your pain, man. I don't understand why they feel the need to use that crappy CG. We've gotten plenty of new anime recently without it that has done very well. Jojo, Boku No Hero Academia, One Punch Man...they're all very popular. Is this a budget thing or what?
  14. I thought Daenerys said the dothraki weren't going? Did I mishear her?
  15. I went ahead and bought it, though that digital only crap does rub me the wrong way. It's either that or nothing, though, and any sort of Jojo merch is pretty rare as it is.
  16. The PC version of Mad Max is 9.92 on CD Keys. Edit: Make that 8.92
  17. Finding any excuse to flash back to earlier scenes and a ton of crowd reactions, for the most part. Also, the opening is really long (now) and every episode starts with both a summation of the series' premise, which is totally unnecessary by episode 700, and a lengthy recap of the previous episode. This can take up to six or seven minutes per episode. Still a pretty good series, though. The manga is just way better with pacing. On the plus side, it does make catching up easier since each episode is really more like twenty minutes long seeing that you can skip all that crap. I got Little Pirate into the series a while back and it took maybe roughly six months to catch up from the beginning at four or five episodes a day.
  18. In One Piece's case it's true there aren't many filler episodes for a series of its length, but the issue cropping up recently is that the anime has gotten so dangerously close to catching up with the manga that the story is padded to hell and back, and for the most part entire episodes are devoted to covering a single manga chapter. Since the average One Piece chapter is around 20 pages, give or take, you can imagine how this results in a ton of unnecessary fluff that gets packed in to fill in the other half of the episode. I still watch the series and I still enjoy it thanks to the really great story and characters, but it's a definite problem that's impossible not to notice when comparing it to more recent animes like the aforementioned Boku no Hero and Jojo, which move the story along at a brisk pace.
  19. Season 2 confirmed! I have to say, I appreciate that they confirmed a second season right at the end of the first one, unlike Attack on Titan which took forever. Also, is it just me or is this an uncommon trend for anime? Most anime I saw always either did one season and then never adapted the manga any further (like Berserk) or they adapt the whole thing but never take breaks so there's a lot of filler to get through (like One Piece). I honestly feel like the more western style of doing a season, then taking a break to give the mangaka a chance to get new material out is the best way to do anime these days. While it does suck having to wait, it also means less need to pad episodes or do pointless filler. I've read the whole Boku no Hero Academia series so far and I can say that season one has basically no filler in it. What small changes or additions they did make was for the better, and as is there's easily enough manga material for three or four seasons right now. The only series I've seen that's had a more faithful manga-to-tv adaptation was Jojo, and that manga has been around for almost 30 years so there's no risk of filler anytime soon. I hope other studios take note of this. As much as I hate waiting for new episodes, it's better than slowing down the show's story to a snail's pace.
  20. That's strange. Most people prefer Battle Tendency over Phantom Blood, but Stardust Crusaders is when stands are introduced and the whole tone of the series shifts dramatically from there. Stands are pretty entertaining, though, and they facilitate some pretty good battles just because their powers are so unusual. I wish I could explain it but it would be spoiling some of the best moments.
  21. Don't feel like linking all the images but I got a few things in the steam sale. DOOM (2016) Final Doom Chaos on Deponia Sega Genesis Classics Collection Pack 5 Ghostbusters (It was like 2 bucks!)
