  1. So many people out there who learned absolutely nothing from Watch_Dogs.

  3. And the fan projects keep on a-coming.
  4. Only five? I'm looking at the listing right now and it's more like 20 dollars less.
  5. So far I've been able to run every game maxed out so I'm going to try it here too. That 16 GB recommendation is new, though. I have 16 GB, but to the best of my recollection this is the first game I'd be running with such a listing.
  6. Good news for Metroid fans. Do you feel burned by that terrible looking Federation Force game? Why not download Another Metroid 2 Remake instead? It got DMCA'd by Nintendo, sure, but that doesn't mean you can't still find it if you are willing to look for it.
  7. Quantum Break is coming to steam. The game isn't very good from what I've heard but it's good news for future Microsoft games.

I like Alan Wake but I hear the tv bullshit really drags Quantum Break down.

^That. Apparently the first thing you do in the game is watch a 30 minute live-action cutscene.

Also, the people I've heard it's good-not-great fun are also hardcore Remedy fans.

  8. To be fair, they did try to retire Speedy once before but he turned out to be unexpectedly popular with the Hispanic community, which is why they brought him back. I think they might like him in the same way Americans get a kick out of the American stereotypes you see in anime. It helps that Speedy is a highly competent character, stereotypes aside. As for Pepe, his shtick about chasing Penelope around has definitely worn out its welcome but I feel like you could still make a funny and entertaining movie about a character who is obsessed with romance but also really bad at it, especially if he grows out of it by the end of the movie. WB has been trying to tone him down, though, and I don't recall seeing him actually harass Penelope in anything he's been in since 1995's Carrotblanca. I could be mistaken, though.
  9. I think I share your opinion, if only slightly. I love reading about the history of both sides, though, because there's just so many fascinating stories there.
  10. I don't think we have a general movie discussion thread so I'll post here. Apparently Warner Brothers announced that they're working on a movie for Pepe Le Pew. This is after they had previously announced a movie for Speedy Gonzales so I'm getting the feeling that they're trying to start some kind of Looney Tunes cinematic universe like what they're trying (and failing) to do with DC comics. It's a very bizarre idea for a film franchise but I have to admit I don't immediately hate it. The movies, assuming they actually get made, have a high chance of not being very good. I hold no delusions about that. I'm just glad that the Looney Tunes are even being acknowledged at this point. I have a real fondness for those characters, having watched the classic shorts every day before school as a kid, and I really wish they were being used more than they currently are. Warner Bros is just so caught up with DC lately that it sometimes feels like they don't even remember their other franchises. There's a high probability that these films won't pan out, of course. I'm not naive, I know stuff like this ends up in development hell pretty often. It's just nice to know that someone is even trying.
  11. I haven't seen any Eevees in over a week. Seriously, if they're going to spam a low level pokemon at me, I'd be a lot happier with Eevee since that eventually becomes something useful and there's actually a good reason to keep farming them.
  12. I'm right there with you. The infestation of Pidgeys and Rattatas was kind of amusing at first but it REALLY got old quick. That screenshot I posted? It's like that everywhere I go. The balance is atrocious. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk
  13. So after My Hero Academia ended (for now) I got pretty impatient having no anime to watch except for Jojo Friday, so I decided to check out Mob Psycho 100 and it's pretty damn cool. The original webcomic was created by the same guy who created One Punch Man, which was what got me curious in the first place, but it's every bit as good so far. The story is about an incredibly powerful psychic middle schooler nicknamed Mob who works as a part-time exorcist after school. This premise has been done before, but what's different here is that Mob's powers have alienated him to the point where he has stunted emotions and really poor social skills. Half of the series (so far) is about him fighting evil spirits while the other half is about him trying to figure out how to function like a normal person. It's only four episodes in as of this post, but it's good stuff. The art style is really cool, too. Just look at this opening. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N9-EdKLEuuA

  15. Right, I don't think there will be any one big bombshell to ruin his campaign like Mitt Romney's 47% comment, but I still expect Trump to lose in the end.
  16. Please never use the word "Snyderverse" again. It makes me angry. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk
  17. Well the Suicide Squad reviews are starting to come in and from the sound of it the film is not much better than Dawn of Justice, if it's even any better at all. I don't know what's going on over at WB, but they really need to just get rid of all the people they put in charge of doing the DC Cinematic Universe because they are doing a terrible job. They keep putting out failure after failure after failure and yet they never learn from their mistakes. It's actually getting embarrassing to the point where I almost feel sorry for them, especially when their primary competitor is doing so well by comparison. Whether you like the Marvel movies or not, you can't deny that they figured out how to make them work beyond everyone's wildest dreams. Back in the 90s NOBODY in Hollywood thought that a Marvel Comics cinematic universe was even possible. Get your shit together, WB.
  18. So the game got a new update that removes the paw print tracking entirely since I guess that's easier than trying to fix it and removes the battery saving mode entirely from the iOS version of the game. What is Niantic thinking? This makes the game objectively worse, and I haven't heard anything along the lines of "Oh, it's just a temporary removal until we get it sorted out." At least they rebalanced the overpowered Vaporeon while they were at it.
  19. Dying Light So, this is a game I have mixed feelings toward. The story and characters are just awful and I didn't care about anything that was happening. In the first few hours, playing felt like a chore because you're so weak and the zombies are so strong that killing even a single one can take up to 10-20 hits from your shitty starter weapons. It's better to just run away than to try and fight because you're so overwhelmed. I won't mince words: the game sucked...at first. After getting a few levels under my belt I became much better equipped to deal with the undead and the parkour system. The abilities you unlock really do make a world of difference, and once you're a few hours in you start finding better weapons that actually let you properly fight back. The game becomes much better after this, although I still wouldn't say it ever becomes great, just good. I also played it in co-op with a friend, which automatically makes a game more fun in all but the worst cases. The grappling hook, when you finally do unlock it, also does a lot to speed things up. I paid 30 bucks for it during the steam sale and I still have the DLC to play through, so I'd say I got my money's worth. Had I bought this at launch for full price with no DLC I might feel a little ripped off. Not very, but a little. When you have a friend to play with it's a solid 7. Without one, it might be closer to a 6.
  20. Bojack is one of those shows that takes about five or six episodes (assuming you started from season one) to really start picking up. It sounds like a lot but the payoff after that is SO worth it and the show never lost momentum after that, at least for me.
  21. I'm only two episodes in myself but I really like it so far. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk
  22. Plus, if they don't want people using these sites they should make it easier to find something besides FUCKING PIDGEYS AND RATTATAS! I know the game needs easy starter pokemon but the Pidgey and Rattata population is completely out of control and needs to be culled.
