You can get into the settings and make them look pretty decent. Also you can map right stick to whatever you want, which is good for games that had d-pad controlled cameras.

Me too actually, it took me awhile, but now I have to say I much prefer the new Cole. He's got more range to him (but that might be due to a bit better writing too). Plus Eric Ladin tweets info he shouldn't!

Did you find him going through chain link fences a lot? I've had that happen a few times in both games. Pretty glitchy for a Sony owned exclusive.

Yeah, Wilco is probably my favorite band, outside of The Beatles. I like The Whole Love a lot, Born Alone might be the best song I heard all last year. Song for song, it's probably their strongest album since in a long time. But there's nothing quite like the magic of Yankee Hotel + A Ghost is Born (and maybe Being There).

Well, you're not shooting lightning from your hands for most of the Assassin's Creed games. Also the climbing is pretty much the same. Ezio moves a little better, but it's not that different.

Sky Blue Sky is such a good record. I listened to it for the first time in years last week. I can't believe it's been 5 years since it came out. Still not as good as A Ghost is Born but better than Wilco The Album, I think.

I got inFamous on boxing day 2010, yet I only played through the majority of it last week. A tad frustrating at times, but a fun game. It essentially was Assassin's Creed in a modern setting with super powers. I beat it on Saturday and picked up the sequel right after. I'm nearing the end, and I have to say, it's better in almost every way than the original. The setting is better, the game play is better, Cole moves better. This is the kind of game I want on the Vita, hopefully the rumours are true.

When you pre-ordered AC3 from ebgames.ca did they mail you the case? Did you have to pay shipping? Also let me know when you start selling some of your PS3 collection. I could buy them for more than EB Games but still pay less than they'd charge me, profit for both of us!! Depending on what you have available.. of course.

I don't know. I figured it would probably be something like that, but I was really hoping it'd be an actual episode, with something outside of battle. Fighting as Lightning is great, but losing the same fight over and over again till you get high enough level just screams "FILLER" to me. They couldn't design an area for Lightning to explore? This was really Square Enix's first time with DLC, but someone needs to show them Bioware's Lair of the Shadow Broker or the upcoming Arkham City DLC. Also, I know it doesn't matter but NO TROPHIES WHAT THE FUCK!

Oh, don't worry, not so much a spoiler. If you had said "Bran gets addicted to heroin in A Dance with Dragons, and overdoses" then that would be a spoiler. But mentioning that a character is still around is OK in my books.

Isn't PoP 08 basically hold stick forward and jump. Doesn't matter if you cleared the gap you just start back where you last jumped.
The combat was... interesting though. However, not really that interesting to make me finish the game.

elev3n: You are correct. The game could have been excellent (art style is neat and had some good puzzles), but the second-to-second gameplay just felt too on-rails for me.

I like it, and I do remember this forum discussing the topic, but the main issue is that while the previous trilogy was mostly puzzle rooms, '08 was an open world where the Prince's moves were used to navigate rather than solve most of the time.
It essentially put to question the usage of death in video games because without Elika, there would have been a lot of death since there was no rewind feature this time to save your butt.
