I agree with you there, I was just copying and pasting Ethan's words. How about the forum name "Playstation" here? Terrible, just terrible. Nevermind that the logo for PXOD has a PlayStation in it which isn't an X at all, it's a "cross".

I'm all for using a guide for those tough puzzles causing you a lot of frustration but that's 5-10 out of the 500+ you need to beat the game. You did yourself a disservice, Dan. It's not that tough, if you've been paying attention and done all the beacons, you have the capability to get through. Really, what Jonathan Blow should have done was incorporated more of those randomly generating puzzles near the end.

Telltale games have very little gameplay and are all entirely about the story, but you're not going to have a "bad time" with those games.
It's 2016, developers can concentrate on gameplay, story, or both, and still end up with solid games no matter what way they went.

Hell, to get back on topic (or is that on status?), Firewatch is basically one of 'em "walking simulators" and I'm having a blast with it. It's pretty great. And spoilers would've definitely hurt the experience.

The tetris puzzles weren't explained as well as some of the other ones. The suns, colour boxes, etc were all explained really well but FLD is right, tetris puzzles just kind of skip ahead and you're like "da fuq?". That said, at least they are explained unlike the single, double, or triple triangles.

FWIW: Even though this game was significantly shorter than I would have hoped for, I still feel I got my $40 worth out if it, and then some. Also I could totally see this being the kind of game that in a few months/years/whenever from now, people will still be discovering major secrets.

The Revenant Fucking beautiful cinematography. Lots of it was shot in areas around me, in winter no less, so it was cool to see that on film. Basically though, it made me never want to go hunting.
