I hate the word noob. I also hate pwned. They just bug me. Yes I'm not good at a game, no don't insult me with your gamer words, they don't make me feel better. Also I hate when I browse game forums for help and the answer people give is "don't get shot" or "don't die". Oh is that what I'm supposed to do? I thought the goal wasto collect as many bullets in my brain as possible.

My friend gave me his copy that came with his xbox, so even if its bad I have little to lose

Fable II I liked the game enough for the $15 I spent on it. I didn't think it was fantastic but when I started to look at it as more of a zelda like game I kind of liked it. I really like the artwork/setting of the game. On to fable III now.

I hate everything that Premium stands for. I absolutely hate it. But the fact that I love battlefield and can get the expansion packs for $50 got me to buy into it. Impressions on the new maps... Well laid out, but they have some serious visibility issues. It's probably on purpose but I can't stand that I can't see enemies right outside a door when I'm inside a building. The new game modes are fun, but I don't really like the new conquest mode, its fast paced but I don't get the point of the random spawn points when there are objectives you have captured. Gun master is a lot of fun though .

Im getting it tonight, going to go and get premium while I'm at it. I hope its fun, I liked the close quarters combat in BF3, it still feels like BF3, so I'm very interested in this expansion. Its probably not going to be my favorite, but I still will enjoy it when I want some smaller close quarters exciting maps.

I was against Windows 7's big button bar at first. I changed it to look more like the classic version of windows, but after a while I changed it back to try it out. I love it now. Mostly because I think Aero looks so nice. Windows 8 doesn't (Edited after looking at this hours later. I shouldn't post in mornings) look as good as Aero, but I'm not 100% against it. I wanted something different now anyways, but I won't be getting windows 8 for some time, because I won't be needing a new operating system for some time.

Never said they were the same. I never said anything bout pikman though, I'm talking purely about the Internet infrastructure that Nintendo hadn't said a thing about it except it still has friend codes and will be better. The pikman is just a discussion that got me thinking about their online support
-
I have to disagree, while one launch game not having online integration isn't going to hurt, not having a fully developed online infrastructure will. The online component isnt just te future of gaming it's the now of gaming, it's the past 6 years of gaming. Nintendo has to do a lot better than a bit better than the wii. The wii was held up by the casual market, I doubt that market will return for the wii u. Nintendo has to look and Sony and Microsoft if they want to succeed, and online networking is not only a feature in games it's a standard now. Nintendo not having a system similar to what the psn was on day one puts them 6 years behind the competition
-
And that very well could be the case. I think that if they have this plan, this should have been something they should have stated from the start.
-
Yea it would be kind of shitty to play with random people, but my brother and I live shy of 400 miles apart, and the only way we would be able to play that game together (like we did with the NSMBWii) would be to play online.

Ok, forget about online only, and all that jazz, and lets talk licensing. Licensing is a legal way of saying "you can't do what every you want with our product" fine, that's wholly fair. The problem comes down to when you break a license, and now you deal with the consequences. For example, when driving a car, you have a license/registration, and you have to have those to legally drive your car. You break the rules you have a license and you cannot legally drive your car... But your car is not useless. Even if you follow all the legality of a license you can still drive that car legally. How? You can drive it on any private property you want, without a license, as long as you have the blessing of the property owner. Your driving and your car will not affect other drivers. You cannot drive that car on public roads legally. Software becomes something different, but one could still apply the "driving license" method to software. You agree to the license, but if you break it you still have your software, but you lose all support for that software, be it updates, free stuff what ever. You cannot interact with other people who use that software, but a single player campaign still exists, thus driving on your private property. Diablo 3 does not have "private property", your game has to run through public access in order to run, even if you play single player. I don't mind online always DRM, because I rarely will end up in a situation without internet, I still think its dumb, but not enough to avoid buy some games with it (console player, so this never really becomes an issue). Diablo has no "single player content" even if you play single player.... What? That is the problem. So now we end up losing our car and not being able to put it on our private property and drive it even without a license. That is where the issue is, agree with it or not, that is the issue at hand. If you want to defend it or attack it, your choice, which ever side you land on, but we cannot deny the fact that Diablo 3 is eliminating the "single player content" for cheaters, those who break their license. I can think of a better solution: Stop those people from having an interaction with the rest of the players. It's not as easy as taking away their ability to play the game, but its a solution that can be achieved. Money isn't really an issue here with Blizzard, they can code a way of marking your game and your items and your gold to not interact, I mean the game sold 3.5 million units in the first 24 hours, 6.5 million in the first week. Even locking out 1% is 65,000 players. At $60 a piece we are talking $3.9 million in sales, surely there is a way that could have been coded in even 10% the cost ($390,000) that was spent on that 1% of people being locked out, that could just lock them out of any multiplayer interaction and not the entire game..... Just saying.

When is the last date to sub to the PSN to download these titles? I have been debating whether or not I should sub for PSN Plus ever since the hack last year and I got a free month, never really had the cash flow to do so. Now I do, and I'm not sure I want to just yet, but boy is it tempting. Mostly for Saints Row 2!

I had to take a soils engineering class in college as part of my Construction Engineering Management major. Interesting stuff. I was surprised how much engineering goes into soils, not as much about making soil, but determining what soil is good for what, such as how much water it retains, how much is compacts, what the expansion rate is.

I had zero hate with the shooting idea, just how it became a big shootathon. Honestly I was hoping for a guy to have two or three enemies and have a slower more intense gunfight that had a feel that the guy we were playing as was a hacker first and not a very good shot. I think the clumsy gunplay could work here, make this guy a master hacker not a master assassin. Again I don't hate on the shooting, but a little saddened that the shooting is the same as what we've seen everywhere else. I had high hopes that it was going to feel completely different

So this whole Battlefield premium thing... I don't want to support the idea of paying (a one time fee) for a service on top of a game that I already own, I think its a business practice that has no place in paying $60 for a game, and then paying a fee for more "exclusive" items. BUT I plan on getting all expansion packs and if the packs are all truly $15 a pop with 4 more to go, I'll get it just to have the expansion packs for 10 dollars less. The other stuff included is only an added bonus, so its nice. I'm just stoked to get the expansion packs for a cheaper price.

This game looks great both visually and concept wise. I think the gun play looks solid and enjoyable, but like most people here it's the least interesting thing about the game. After watching this and the gun play for the last of us I just want more games where your character is not an expert in handling fire arms, some one who is shooting like you or I would the first time we might pick up a gun. Last of us shows that it can be fun looking and intense

What you posted Dean has me thinking of two things. 1) As an American, I would love to have seen the game where the Americans were the bad guys. There is a lot of things that would help support this, such as Conner being Native American, disliking those that are stealing their land, and the part where the founding fathers were Freemason's, which has ties to the Templars. 2) That naval battle makes me wish we actually got that really bad ass looking Pirates of the Caribbean game that was cancelled a few years ago.

So with Xbox Music, does that mean my Zune service (with my grandfathered in $15 bucks a month sub for unlimited music + 10 songs to keep drm free) is going to be worthless?

But what does that mean for current Zune Pass Subscribers? Will my current subscriptions, and music that I have carry over, or will I have to start all over?
-
I'm sure your music will carry over, and I imagine the subscription will as well though I'm less confident about that.

So seeing that the WiiU offers a pro controller, I wonder in a few years how many multiplatform developers will ignore the tablet and just have games identical to the PS3/360 versions? I find it interesting that the WiiU's most interesting feature is going to probably be ignored, but only time will tell I guess.
-
I will accept your invite on the psn but I got this game on the 360 cause it was for some strange reason $10 cheaper at the little game store by me

So i'm new to this game, wondered around before I figured out I had to sleep to activate the quest to get to the capital city. I'm a level 10 and have no f'in clue what I'm doing... Openworld games are my favorite but I rarely get anything done.... How do I unlock more skills?

OK, so a little digging and I got this from Gawker... Now, as we all know, Gawker is hardly a reliable news site, but they do put some completely unrelated issues together to string what sounds like the beginning of a zombie movie. http://gawker.com/5914059/grab-your-boomstick-the-zombie-apocalypse-may-actually-be-upon-us If you actually read any of the links of aggressive people, turns out that they are either drunk, drugged out, or have a history of psychiatric issues in the past... But still putting it all together like that does kind of creep me out.

That is one of the most terrifying thing ever. The guy had to shoot him multiple times, and the only way to stop him wasnto kill him? Yea... I an getting ready for zday Ok so upon reading more there have been 4 similar incidents where the attackers have enhanced strength and use their jaws as weapons. This the effect of the drug called "bath salts"... sounds like a zombie drug to me.

The Dark Knight Rises and other Bat-Topics
madbassman39 replied to Mr W Phallus's topic in Entertainment Exchange
Thanks. I mean im sure it will be a great movie and I will enjoy it, but its just not appealing to me. Maybe I'm the only one getting that vibe from it, but I'm not half as excited as I was to see the dark knight.
