Super stardust hd is awesome. Its like asteroids mixed with geometry wars. Im personally getting infamous and wipeout hd. If youve never played wipeout hd, i suggest you try the demo. Itdsa fun and beautiful game with full custome soundtrack support. I love it. -
But who makes more money of their games(not counting Steam, just the games)? Valve or Activision? Long lifespan is a great thing, but the money is what matters. 15 dollar map packs add up very nicely, even if itll get replaced in a year. The CoD franchise alone has probably beaten the Half Life franchise in sales, not by the amount of copies and dlc, but by how much money theyve gotten from consumers.

Yeah, I heard that happened with Halo Wars. A lot of people sold it back because it wasnt an FPS. I can see it. Id hate to buy a new God Of War game only to play it and realize its a point and click game. Or ughhhhh....a football game.

Pepsi Max is gross. They add a bunch of extra shit to it and gives it a really weird taste. Only good thing about it is that it has double the caffeine.

PC sales are also really different from console sales. You can eventually buy a game for 5 bucks, even a dollar on pc. That never happens on consoles. Not to mention console games are always 60 dollars(and 50 for Wii). Im sure theyll make more money off Crysis 2 than Crysis 1.

Then whats the point of pointing it out? If only to start shit. I wouldnt go in front of a homeless man and eat a cheeseburger just to let him know my life is better than his if it wasnt out of being a dick. You cant even mention how much better you are or what better things you have in front of people who dont have it. It gloating and its a dick move any way you slice it. No one cares that you can play things with triple aliasing or at 60 frames per second. I cant stress that enough. I dont play Uncharted 2 and think "shit, this looks like crap. i wish ti were on pc." Creativity and great art direction have always been way more important to me than graphical prowess.

$9 for a keyboard? I think you need to hand over your PC gaming master race card. RIGHT NOW.

But console gamers never talk shit about the pc. Theres no reason to. What bad things can they say about the pc? We all use one. On the other hand, PC gamers do. A lot. About how the graphics suck on consoles, about how the mouse and keyboard are better, about their games being dumbed down because of consoles. Whether its all true or not, whats the point? Youre talking shit to people who couldnt give a rats ass.

Twin Snakes is an abortion of a remake of a great game. I fucking hate it.

Too bad I dont play online. I just want the store back. I need more Rock Band tracks. MORE! -
I only dabble in pc gaming. As a console guy I have nothing. Against the pc. Though the same can't be said for pc gamer... I've realized that a big reason I prefer consoles is not knowing my way around a keyboard. I don't have it memorized like I do my ps controller. The keyboard for me is just too cumbersome so i feel comfortable around pc games that really entirely almost on the mouse. Games like the sims and audiosurf. im trying to play mass effect 2 right now on my pc and i have to keep looking down at what i press. That shit aint fun. i also have a laptop and i dont really wanna plug in a controller everytime i wanna play. I wanna get good at the keyboard because a lot of pc games play better that way since thats how they were made. Its very obvious. I feel like im just too old to try to learn now.

I downloaded Mass Effect 2(dont worry, im buying the PS3 version asap) and it actually works on my pc. I have to turn off all the advanced effects, but it still looks great. Should I play Mass Effect 1 first?

To be honest, I liked the parts of Half Life 2 ive played, but it really seems like a lot of the game is just an excuse to show off the fact that you can grab and move stuff around. I played this on the Orange Box, not when it originally came out so many thats why it doesnt impress me. There are segments of that game where they make you lift a can and throw it in a garbage can, where they make you stack boxes to get out window, where you have to stack things on one side of a wooden plank to make it work a see saw to jump out of a hole. Its just so unnecessary and tedious.

I saw 8 Mile again a few days ago. Its such a good movie. Not great, but still very good. Only thing that bugs me is the shitty ending disguised as a good ending. Everyone I talk to thinks its a happy ending. Its not. He loses the girl, he still has a shitty job, he still lives in a shitty trailer with his mom, and his mom is only briefly ok since she only won 3200 dollars, which will run out soon and she'll eventually go back to her old ways. And those black guys are probably going to beat the shit out of him again.

I also didnt like San Andreas.

Why is that? I see it as 20-30 hours of HBO-quality crime drama, which is interactive and has branching paths through storylines. With a great simulation and a great script (though obviously this can only be attested in the retail release, and if it proves to be an actual failure critically I won't be getting it). To me it sounds easily worth the £40. And that's (almost) 80 of your American dollars! How do you know its good if you havent played it yet? I didnt like gta4 at all, but i loved rdr, so to me rockstar doesnt have a definitive track record, thats why im not buying it full price, or at all.

I cant in good conscience buy this game for more than 30 dollars. Ill wait. Rockstar's games are polarizing to me this generation.

You just need to know how to pluck a string and hold a note. Thats it. Some people dont even do full chords. They just play one string at a time. I think this is one of those agree to disagree moments right now.

To be quite honest, I understand art is about the creative aspect over the technical aspect, but I still sometimes have a hard time accepting photoshop art. Not the 3D stuff, but the stuff that emulates real medium like paintings and pencil drawings. Just the fact that they cant do it in real life...bugs me. I guess because ive lost too many art contests to those people. People are impressed by that stuff more than they are by an actual scanned drawing. Then again, i think electronic music is an art....and those guys dont play guitar, drums, or keyboards. Just a computer. Honestly, the general population values skill in art than actual art. People want a house that looks like a house, a door that looks like a door and a person who looks like a person. If its even a bit off in some way, if its somewhat unnatural, theyll call you on it. Thats why Dragonforce has fans. (im never going to stop making Dragonforce, just sayin. Fucking hacks.)
