  1. I'm with FDS on that. Let your phone run the way it wants to run. The whole "Android needs a task killer" myth is a thing of the past.
  2. As I said before, I hope you understand the effort required in starting up something new. Sure, you can start up a .wordpress.com site, grab a cheap theme and suddenly you have a blog that's going to get read. It's a lot of work, almost a second job, and if you want to do it right, that's a lot of work up front, and a large amount of cash out of your pocket each year. I'm not saying you can't do it; and I absolutely wish you luck, but as someone who's done a very similar thing recently, I hope you know what you're getting in to.
  3. Beats me. It's innovative for a Call of Duty game, but beyond that? No way.
  4. http://raptr.com/luftwaffles/summary/2012 I don't really like Raptr, but their little yearly summary is pretty neato.

For example, october as my most played month sounds about right. I played like 80 hours of XCOM when it first came out. But it only detected about half of it. Also, it only detected 11 hours of Dishonored (I took a bit over 20 to beat it) but it's still my second most played game?

You can probalby fix the hour thing by syncing with steam manually (somewhere in the preferences).

I forgot I even had one of these, so I don't know how accurate this is.... but November being my most played month does make sense, same with Saturdays.

  5. Oh damn, I stand corrected. Didn't know that.
  6. The gamepad uses Bluetooth, not Wifi. Edit: Nevermind, yo soy mucho stupido.

  8. Aww man, I can't wait for Skyrim starring Val Kilmer.
  9. Looks like it is out. I've got it in my account as well. This is a nice surprise.
  10. Niners suck, Ravens are okay, go Seahawks? Can the MLS start now?

At the right Galaxy game they are a blast. The problem is nobody knows when the right game will be.

Not on a school night, basically. Home Depot Center has that thing with the university campus they're on limiting attendance on certain nights of the week.

But The Home Depot center is in Carson. I'm not sure why anyone would go during nightfall anyway. Scary!

  11. Makes sense. I think I'm mostly just tired of the kneejerk "Diablo 3 sucks amirite" response that seems to come up whenever a new ARPG or dungeon crawler comes out. This and Torchlight 2 are certainly not bad games. I like them, just like, as I said, I like Diablo 3. I just don't think they're this second coming of Christ just because Diablo 3 was a little disappointing. So, as a result, I went into both games with super high expectations and came out pretty disappointed. And I do agree on their F2P model. It is quite good, probably second only to DOTA2 that I've seen in making it purely cosmetic items. It's kinda unfortunate that DRM had to come along with it though, but I guess that's the nature of the beast when micro transactions are involved.
  12. So what ever happened to that patch to turn off HUD elements? Did it happen and I missed it, or are Ubisoft being Ubisoft?
  13. Tried it. It's... okay. I was one of those few people who really really liked Diablo 3, so take this with a grain of salt I guess, but I don't see what the fuss about this is. For one, it's got all the joyous DRM of Diablo 3, but somehow even less stable servers than Blizzard. Stuff was hopping around and teleporting, and I got a fair bit of input lag when housemates were torrenting. Shots also seem to frequently just miss, but that might be a game function, not sure. Far as the gameplay goes, it's alright. Nothing special. Not on the level of D3 as far as animations or combat feel, but honestly, I didn't expect it to be. It's more than passable for a F2P game and the gem system is rather interesting. Graphics are pretty damn dull though, and the map? Oh god the map. It's really really terrible. I guess I'm a little dissapointed because I heard people saying this was better than Torchlight 2 or Diablo 3, and it's a spiritual successor to Diablo 2. While I can see it being the latter, and I've got no desire to play Diablo 2 nowadays, I'd pick D3 anyday over this. It's got its problems, but I think it gets a pretty unfair rap for the most part. I guess people are just desperate for an alternative, so we've got this? I'm all for competition, and maybe I'm a filthy casual for not liking this much, but it just felt sorta sloppy and lazy. Just a beta, I suppose, but they've already got their store up in running, which in my eyes says "We kinda launched already".
  14. That's just an unlock pack. Doesn't include the base game or any of the DLC.
  15. Yeah, the DRM is a 100% dealbreaker for me. The game is good, but it's not enough of an improvement over 4 to warrant the $60 price tag and the danger that it'll go away in a couple years. Thanks but no thanks.
  16. Samesies. I don't know if I'll pick up HOTS on launch, but it's definitely on my list of games to buy later in the year.
  17. I'm excited, not really because I really want to play the standalone DayZ (or DayZ in general), but because these are all features ARMA 2 itself could use, and ones I expect they'll add to ARMA 3 (if they haven't already). I could give two shits about changing clothes, but things like weapon attachments, lighting improvements, and (most importantly) improved server infrastructure is a big, big deal. Also hoping the version of Chernarus with all enterable buildings they're developing eventually gets released in vanilla A2 after the standalone releases.
  18. I did just kind of tell you how it ended, I suppose. Really, there's no need to play it (as it is pretty tough), the only main difference is that one line.
