If I remember right, doesn't Linux have awful OpenGL support? Like, even worse than Mac? I dunno, I still just don't think of Linux as a gaming box, like many here, it appears.

Actually, America gets most of our oil from Canada and Mexico. We do get a lot from the Middle East, but most comes from right over either border.

Max Payne's recommended system specification are bizarre. Minimum processor is a 2.4GHZ dual core, but recommended is a 6-core i7? Does not compute.

Five pretend-money (worth 0 actual dollars) says they are going to whine about how the horribly optimized PC version isn't selling, once the game is released.

I sort of stopped playing when I realized the grenades were mapped to double-tapping 1 and I couldn't change the FOV at all. Glad to hear it's not too terrible, though.

My bro-in-law has some friends there who own a "farm" and have a very large cash crop. They pay the employees very handsomely, from what I hear.

Yeah, it's a really easy way to make money. Lots of people drive new trucks and go away on vacation for a few months of the year.

What's the music like in it? Is it similar to the old games I guess it's too much to hope it still has Jerk it out on the playlist. It's a lot of EDM, dubstep, and hip-hop, with a bit of pop and rock tossed in there. It's alright. I don't necessarily like all of the songs, but they all work really well in the game, especially with how they seem to remix the songs as you go down the mountain. There's no Jerk it Out, but there is a version of It's Tricky, so that's good enough for me.

While it's mastered terribly it's a pretty great album. Yeah. Poor mastering has always been something I've taken for granted in Spiritualized's albums, though. Wouldn't exactly be the same if it wasn't so fuzzy.

I beat the SSX extended tutorial singleplayer last night. The story is awful, the comic book cutscenes are a bit cringeworthy, but I honestly didn't seem to care because the gameplay was so good. The difficulty seemed to spike a bit at the end, which was a bit unexpected, but I was able to get through it (surprisingly) without too much hassle.

I'm seeing a weird Resistance 3 - Assassin's Creed - Half-Life 2 - Bioshock mashup here. Looks interesting to say the least, and the setting looks fantastic.

You know, I don't have an issue with no swearing rules on a server, as that's your server and you can do whatever you want with it. I do have a problem with the plugins that replace curse words with $% characters, as that just seems ridiculous.

I almost feel bad, but Sonic Adventure 2 was really one of the only Sonic games I've enjoyed ever.

Yeah, I had played a portion of the singleplayer at a friends, and sort of ragequit because it felt completely different than Crysis, as it was set in a city and really quite linear, but I figured this would be about the time to try again, as I really don't care if it's not faithful to the old Crysis anymore. Crysis 1 wasn't really that great as far as gameplay goes, IMO, and I'm hoping some of the changes in 2 might actually help me enjoy it a bit more.

$7.50 on Amazon, was going back and forth over if I wanted to buy it or not. Finally decided it was at least worth 8 bucks.

There's about 9000 beta keys for Nexuiz over on Alienware's site being given away right now. The game's a bit controversial, but for those that like arena shooters it might be worth a shot.
