Started playing Red Dead Redemption recently. Why have I not played this game before? It's amazing.

I didn't much care for RDR. Was pretty dull.

I liked the cattle herding and stuff. I wish there'd been a way to do more of that. Like maybe cattle rustling where you can steel peeps cattle and take them somewhere to sell.

Well shit, I buy a PS3, and now this decides to release on PC. Either way, I'm not 100% sure I'll be getting it right away. It sounds really neat, but I have so many games going right now, and the crazy hard difficulty might not be my cup of tea. I'll probably pick it up in the future though, especially if it ends up on Steam.

Hopped into multiplayer after being out for a little while. First veteran pack I buy, I get the Black Widow and a Turian Sentinal. Awesome. Also, the Geth Plasma Shotgun is amazing.

That game sounds like a trip. I'm not even sure how to describe it. If you were to judge based on gameplay elements and try to explain it to someone, it'd sound terrible. I dunno, though, it all just comes together so nicely. I couldn't put it down. I'll have to say that the camaraderie developed in Journey is beyond any other game I've played, though. I had to take a phone call in the middle of playing, and the guy I was playing with sat there with me until I came back. So of course, when he had to do something, I did the same for him. Then when we hit the ending.. oh jeez. Don't want to spoil anything. I usually dislike games like Journey, but this was different. A completely unique experience.

I'd just be worried that the Wii U doesn't have the wow factor that the motion controls in the original Wii had. The way I see it, the original Wii sold extremely well at first partly because of its low cost, and mostly because it had its motion controls. I just feel like the Wii U, because it lacks that "wow" that the Wii originally had, needs something like graphical prowess to fall back on. Sure, it has the tablet, but that's not going to appeal to the housewife/mother crowd like the Wiimote did.

Brotherhood had some lengthy ones as the beginning that were quite nice, if I remember right.

I picked this up today and oh my god it's fantastic. Controls different than the old SSXs, but still really nicely. Definitely going to be playing it some more. So does anyone besides Johnny and Duke have it?

Excessive, early and excessively early DLC

Oh man, that was the worst. It didn't help that your first few tournaments didn't do it and you could 100% them without the DLC. I started that game, 100%ed the first few tournaments, got the idea in my head I was going to do the rest like that, and then the DLC came along. -
I think it's pretty common on 6 speed cars. My moms truck is a 6 speed, and you have to sort of push the stick down then move it left past 1 and 2 to engage reverse.

I've been noticing the hybrid-stick types of cars appearing a lot around here, where it's setup like an automatic in almost everything, but then you can pop the stick to the left or right to manually shift, like this. I'm lazy and am pretty shit at driving a stick, but I drive a car with one of those and sort of love it. It's still only got 4 speeds like most automatics, but the ability to use your gears to slow down when going down a steep hill rather than your brakes is something that I really miss about manual transmissions.

I have their HDMI switcher and a toslink/optical switcher from there. Both are great. Where did you get the HDMI switcher? My dad has been looking for one at a reasonable price. HDMI switchers are just difficult to find, but decently priced ones that are good are even harder to find. Here's the monoprice one. I've never had any issue with their stuff.

Picked this up for PS3 and PC on the same monitor shenanigans. Just allows me to select which input I want relatively easily, as I didn't realize my monitor was DVI/VGA before rather than DVI/DVI. Also, was about 100 dollars cheaper than any other boxes I found. Yaaay Monoprice.
