      Waldorf and Statler

I feel like I need to respond to this since my xbox live tag is "Tunnel Snake" and I can say it right now, we DO rule

      Haha. Love the moves.

Funnel Cakes rule!...or something like that.

  1. You know, I'm just glad they didn't remove it completely. It would be completely like Bioware to just remove it, seeing as some people didn't like it. It's what they did with ME1's inventory system and ME2's bypass and hack minigames.
  2. I'll go ahead and post mine here, too. 3x 33% off Valve 1x 50% off Valve 1x 50% Nail'd 1x 50% Steel Storm: Burning Retribution Plus 3 Super MNC invites if anyone wants them.
  3. Not everyone should go to college. More people going to college effectively cheapens the degree. A BA degree from many state schools is akin to a high school diploma in the real world (unless you study something worthwhile like Business, Engineering or Science.) We put way too much emphasis on college and quite frankly I know people who would've been better off not going to college and instead going to a vocational school or taking an apprenticeship. Instead they are 40K in debt with a worthless degree that sounds nice when they're on break working at the supermarket. That's not really the point. The point is that Santorum is drawing on an argument that isn't exactly backed up by his personal history, as well as resorting to childish personal attacks to try and gain political clout.
  4. So I was watching the Arizona republican debates a few days ago and the moderator asked the candidates to "describe themselves in one word". Romney said "resolute", Paul said "consistent", Gingrich said "cheerful", and Santorum said "courage". Fucking Santorum. Couldn't even use an adjective.
  5. You all should join the Press X Or Die platoon while you're at it. It's invite only and all, but I can let you in somewhat fast.
  6. You're on Xbox? They have gotten somewhat of a patch of PC already, but I know what you mean. It's a nasty combo to be on the other end of.
  7. What's funny about that is that you might like the EU, actually. For the most part, it's very similar to what you described. The countries make their own laws, they field their own armies, and are pretty in control of their own policy. The EU exists to manage fiscal, monetary, and some diplomatic policy in those countries, but I don't see it as controlling or blocking any sort of regulation or law that the countries themselves try and push or enact. It's a large amount of sovereign entities acting under the umbrella of the EU for both protection and alliances. It's similar to the Articles of Confederation, like Ethan said, in that it's a confederation of sorts, a large amount of nations more united than under multiple alliances, but not at all controlled by the center either.
  8. The mega-patch for February now has a tentative changelog. If anyone still plays, that is.
  9. New album comes later this year, apparently. Psyched.
  10. Mass Effect 2, about a week after Mass Effect 1.
  11. @Ethan, The EU, by definition, could be considered a confederacy. It's a large group of nations sharing the same currency, acting as a giant political entity when they want, but also breaking off (quite commonly) and doing their own diplomacy. It's a lot like the United States was before we wrote our constitution, but it's far more effective than that, possibly because of the centralized currency. The way I see it, the EU is the baby of Germany and France, as it seems to me (as an outsider) that most policy adapted by the EU benefits those two nations.
  12. Played Modern Warfare 2 online today. Never again.

  13. It's funny, I remember taking this my freshmen year of high school and placing exactly in the middle. I guess a lot has changed since then.
  14. What about a monday, wednesday, friday thing? Seems like it would be a lot easier to keep up with than a every day type of thing.
  15. To each his own. The instrumentalism reminded me of Domestica, which is why I thought of it, but I'll definitely admit their lyrics aren't as sharp as they used to be. But hell, I'm the type of person who likes the new Modest Mouse, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.
  16. This has been a good week for music. Cursive and Sleigh Bells...

    1. Faiblesse Des Sens

      Faiblesse Des Sens

Sleigh Bells is a joke as usual and Cursive quite making good music half a decade ago. Though surprisingly, Tim Kasher's solo album from 2010 is good. The better leaks recently are Dirty Three, Peter Broderick, & Tindersticks.

  17. Bought Cursive's new album and took a listen. It's not much like their Art is Hard cello stuff, but it's actually really good. A lot like Domestica, which I personally really liked.
  18. Oh, hold on, now the Girl Scouts are the root of all evil.
  19. Yant, I still don't necessarily agree with you, but that post made everything you said here a lot more clear. Thanks for that, I'll stop sharpening my pitchfork now.
  20. Made entirely of coffee stains.
  21. Finished Alan Wake today. What a mindfuck of an ending.
