I'm excited for the 3DS game. I'll for sure be getting that. As for P5. What the fuck this sucks. It's awesome but I don't know if I'll know anybody with a PS3 by the time it comes out.

I'm still looking forward to it. P3 and P4 were a great way to end the PS2. This will probably be a nice send-off to the PS3.

If DA2 nor Witcher 3 are candidates for "juicy rpg" you might be in trouble. Cause Persona 5 might not come out till 2015 if announced, and even then chances are it's ps3. And there are some nice indie RPG's imma play, but those aren't juicy enough. My question is where the fuck is my Dragon's Dogma 2.

I played it as a very young kid, never bothered playing it much again besides maybe the first temple or two. This was back in the days when the sense of direction of where to go next was very small. Also I take back what I previously said about not getting it lol. Gamefly sent it to me. I'll probably play it this winter vacation.

I also discovered the massive downside of free shipping lately when I made the mistake of grouping all of my shit together. Which caused it to take forever.

@Luft as far as I know and have investigated, I had to have called before it reached my city for it to be brought to the store over a warehouse. They won't bring it to the store unless they can't deliver it, but they bring stuff to the front office of my complex.

It was meant to come Monday morning and the UPS website swears it still does. But at 11 pm (2 hours ago) it arrived at the office of my neighboring town. Unless UPS decides to hold it for one day out of spite, it should be there tomorrow. Gotta drive back tomorrow to accept it.

Fucking Activision. Have the games they made on the franchise sold all that well that they'd genuinely want to revive it? I wish Sony would offer to buy the franhicse back.

I literally JUST bought a ps4, and still have a PC game I've yet to finish. Too much of a backlog so I can afford to wait on this until it goes down in price a bit. But knowing nintendo it never will.

Ok I'm gonna admit it. I had fun with the Xbone today. My friend bought it with dat oil money alongside his ps4, and we were just having the time of our lives telling xbox to do stuff. Much funnier when it didn't listen to you and you broke down crying begging it to do stuff.

Killer Instinct is a fun little game. I felt both the xbox one controller and the ds4 one after the other. My honest opinion: xbox one controller's size change ruined the comfort the 360 had. DS4's downside when compared is the triggers don't stick out as much.

I'm sure if you offer they'll take it. Also I'm lucky that my PS4, instead of being shipped from the far west or east US, is being shipped from Oklahoma. Next door neighbor to texas and all. It's estimated to get here on the 25th, but I'm coming back Saturday for other reasons. If by some reason it makes it here by then, hoo doggie. And yeah I was planning on getting PS+. 5 bucks a month is a steal really it doesn't affect me. Plus only game I have is Killzone. I need to play that shit w/ buddies.

My PS4 is being shipped. It should be here anywhere between a week or two. I can wait considering thanksgiving and all this other stuff going on. Funny enough I had bought separately a new headset and a 1TB hard drive to get shipped on wednesday in expectation that my local Best Buy would have PS4's by then. Technically if somebody hasn't picked up their pre-order by friday they'll have a couple more for sale on Saturday. But like I said no rush. I'm busy with so much other shit. Once it gets here I'll enjoy playing it though.

It was a pain in the ass but I finally own a PS4. It's gonna take a while to ship since Best Buy didn't offer faster shipping, but w/e I can wait. Being limited to Best Buy was a pain so thank god for stock tracking websites for letting me know.

faster blu-ray drive I could see. But the only real use for it is to install games faster. Btw am I missing something or is the ps4 basically the same as the xbox one in terms of having to install games to play them?

I kept my original 360. Only time I bought a new 360 was when my previos RROD'ed and I had no more warranty anywhere. And even then I chose to go with a much cheaper used fat 360 vs a slim. That's the one I sold to Best Buy.

Didn't even think about the phrasing on the cracked screen bit haha. But there's a reason I got the whoopsie daisy insurance for a laptop. And I guess you guys make a good point about my freaking out over the sensationalism of the blue light of the ps4 in the media. But shit, xbox 360 was the first console I bought with my own hard earned money and it was such a clusterfuck it left me shaken in a cold shower trying to hide the shame. I can at the least wait the few weeks the store guarantees the product will work for. If it works from there chances are it won't be getting the blue light anytime soon. If I do buy it and it gets it within the same hour, abandon ship extended warranty ahoy.

I wish Best Buy would at least give estimates on when they expect to receive new shipments. All I'm getting from the phone is "around the holidays, but before Black Friday"

a good idea I'm gonna do is call both of the local Best Buys friday night to see if they have any unpicked up preorders. If they do then I'll be there first thing saturday morning to take one with me as they go to the general public on saturday

Well, from my experience working retail, more often than not, we actually DON'T know when the supplier is going to ship us something; especially a product people are looking forward to. We only really know our regular shipment days, but we don't know what's going to be shipped specifically, so it could be that they know only the general time frame in which the systems might becoming in again.

I'll see how much more I gotta pay. The thing about Sony, Amazon, or any other one of those warranties that require shipping is that you gotta wait like 2 weeks to receive the thing back. If an extra $100 or less means I can get a new machine within a day, then why the fuck not? And yes, I respectfully disagree. I understand it's geek cred to say extended warranties are useless but: - I've had 4 360's RROD on me. The first one occurred while my Gamestop warranty I paid for was still in effect, got it exchanged immediately. Second two while the MS extended warranty was in effect. Had to wait upwards of 1-2 weeks to my console back. Fourth one died out when I had nothing, had to outright buy a used console. - My previous laptop got a cracked screen a bit more than a year after the warranty ended. Screen was impossible to change for an amateur (i've changed screens before, this was one was glued with cables hidden). Sent it to extended warranty via mail, sure it took 2 months for me to eventually get what I paid back plus an extra $100 for the trouble. But I would have had to buy a brand new computer from scratch if it wasn't for the extra 100 I spent for 3 extra years of warranty. -My friend got geek squad. Old Asus laptop broke on him. Took it to geek squad. Since his model was no longer being made, he got the closest equivalent from Asus which was 20x better. You can call it a robbery and can call me a soccer mom, but I've found use for these. If I can afford an extra $100 for the convenience of a 5 minute drive to get a new console vs a 2 week wait, I'm taking it. A well informed warranty user that has actually experienced issues won't be dissuaded by peer pressure. No sirre. Now if it's like 200 bucks then fuck that. I'm willing to pay close to a $100 for faulty hardware, I know Geek Squad is infamous for being expensive so if they're charging too much I'll go with Sonys

I'm going to definitely buy the Geek Squad extended warranty from BB. Unlike with phones I won't get the accidental damage one as I've never dropped a console. And I believe every purchase at a store guarantees the product will work without issues for at least a couple of weeks to 30 days. So pray to god that if your PS4 breaks it does so within the time limit the store is responsible for so you can get a speedy exchange.

I'm already buying some replacements for shit of the PS4 I don't like. Haven't gotten a PS4 yet but I ordered the 1TB SATA II HDD. I'm also looking for a replacement headset. Anyone know of a good replacement headset with over-the-ear (aka cupping around the ear) an actual microphone (vs the in-the-cable kind) that is no more than $60? Amazon's options when I get specific all have that in-line mic. Preferrably I'd rather have one that connects to the 3.5mm jack in the controller. I don't care THAT much about audio from people playing nor do I need to ever really play with the game audio in my headset either as I live in an apartment with my sister and she doesn't really hear anything that goes on in my room.

If that's the case I might call tomorrow to see if they're willing to sell the ones that werent picked up. Anybody have confirmation this is a Best Buy practice vs just what you've heard? edit: just read in a website that it's 8 days after the midnight launch when the ones that weren't picked up are up for grabs. I'll be checking daily to see if new shipments have arrived.
