  1. Still playing far too much Battlegrounds. XBOX and PC combined I'm pushing 300 hours of game time. I've certainly cooled from the highs of October though, often taking a week or so between sessions. Game has its issues, the new map sucks, the cheating thing just won't go away and as much fun as solo is, sometimes its too tense for its own good. Also playing boatloads of Rocket League on the Switch. Its not the best looking version of the game, but If you're like me and value not hogging the tv, having it on a handheld is invaluable.
  2. Baby is due in a little over 7 weeks. Who wants my gaming PC? And my Switch. Oh, you can have the PS4 and XBOX ONE to.

    Sigh.

Flip the baby around and hold a bottle in your mouth.

And reducing screen time (of any kind) for babies and tots is probably a good idea but now I'm telling parents how to parent without being a parent...

I'm totally down with telling parents how to parent without being a parent yourself. Have you seen parents? Not like anyone needs a degree in it. Just don't wear a rubber and hey presto you're a parent.

I totally agree on reduced screen time for kids. I abhor how much time some of my younger siblings spend on screens.

My nephew (who is now 4 and a half) has been using a tablet since he was a little over 2. Whilst adorable, I'm very reluctant to let that happen. I understand the temptation, but I've every intention of holding off until she's older before she's playing Goat Sim on the iPad.

Says the guy who's never had to parent a day in his life.

  3. Goon: Last of the Enforcers lacks the charm and heart that made the original such an enjoyable ride through the world of minor league hockey. Scott is as good as ever (seriously, he's actually good in these films), but the story takes too long to get going and frankly, never really grabs you. It's fine. If you like Hockey you might enjoy it. Or if you like Hockey you might find the way it portrays your sport to be way too heavy handed, almost comical (it is a comedy).
  4. Bayonetta 3 + 2B skin DLC = $$$$$

    (Also Hentai)

      Calm down, Nines.

  5. Got the Odyssey physical edition from work. After staff discount and Nectar points it only cost me £20. Also made a killing on Bacon. Today is a good day.
  6. Feels like I've been waiting months for this game. Ever since its reveal its been on our radar and I JUST WANT TO PLAY IT!! #GOTY2017
  7. This new ability to transfer saved files is the most Nintendo shit I've ever seen. Just let me move that shit to an SD card and be on with my day.
  8. So last night during a podcast debate about cringey moments in games, I was reminded about the time I played Shadows of the Damned and had to navigate my character along a giant version of my dead (?) girlfriends entirely naked body.......whilst my then girlfriend watched me. I don't think she was overly impressed, and I wanted the ground to swallow me whole. So I ask. What are your most embarrassing moments with games. And has a game ever made you cringe so hard that you stopped playing it entirely?
  9. I finally got bored of waiting for the much promised Switch version. Got it for a little over £5 on GoG.
  10. Mario + Rabbids = Kingdom Battle. This game is good. Is it the best game released this year? No, but it achieves what it sets out to do, and gave me exactly what I wanted; an lighter take on the XCOM type game with Mario and Luigi and cosplaying Rabbids. That's not to say its a walk in the park. The difficulty is there, with the later worlds demanding you fiddling with your squad to find the best pairings, and actual planning in the way in which you move your characters around the um..boards? Honestly, I think you owe it to yourself to play this game if you've got a Switch. As well as Nintendo has done stocking that thing up with Indie titles, this remains of the one of the better 'big budget' games on the system. It's got some truly memorable moments (Moustache) and looks pretty nice on the Switch itself. Will it make my top 5? I doubt it, but it's a game I'd happily return to if they release some more story DLC for it (Yoshi's Island anyone?).
  11. I had no history with the Rabbids so maybe I'm speaking out of place here but I thought they were fine. They even made me chuckle at times.
  12. http://www.channel4.com/programmes/electric-dreams This looks interesting. Is anyone else going to be watching it? Episode one is on tonight at 9 (UK).
  13. Aaaaaaaand it's gone. They turned it off. Apparently it was a bug or something.
  14. Guess what? Imma be a Daddy. Yeah, a primary caregiver to another human being. March 2018. Hold onto your butts.

    Apple

It's 2017 and we're still doing the Apple fan vs Non Apple fan thing. Come on guys.
  16. Knowing Nintendo, probably anything above an hour. Either way. It's not going to get any better, so I'll be sending it in at some point.
  17. So I've been looking at my Switch screen some more. I'm not actually convinced that the screen is coming up as much as I am that the Switch itself is warped a little. When I lay it flat on a table the corner I've been having screen issues with moves when I apply pressure to it; none of the others do. At first I thought the glue was warming up and softening, but maybe I was just unlucky and got a less that straight dock............... Probably going to hold off until I've finished Mario + Rabbids and then send it in before Odyssey hits. Fingers crossed I keep my saves as I'd love to take a look at the 2nd Zelda DLC without having to put another 70 hours into the base game first.
  18. So maybe this has been asked before, but is anyone planning on waiting for the PC release? I wasn't planning on picking it up at all, but I think I may be able to fit a tiny amount of Destiny into my life before it...all...goes...mental... in a few months, and that's all the excuse I need. PC seems to be the way to go but I thought I'd gauge the temperature in here before taking the plunge.
