  1. I think it's really admirable actually. I'm someone who loves playing games locally, and whilst I get that it totally sucks if that's not a possibility, I really like the idea of them building a game from the ground up that can't be played solo.
  2. I've got some Steam codes for Wasted, Volgar the Viking, Westerado and Duck Game if anyone wants one.
  3. I've had that downloaded for 6 months. Did you happen to have a look at the co-op functionality at all? I wouldn't mind giving it a go with my partner, but I'm not sure how she'd handle some of the more demanding areas.
  4. Is it possible to link calendar events to a thread directly?

Not that I'm aware of, you can obviously put a link to a forum thread.

  5. Everyone is hoping, almost expecting a new Metroid game, which probably means it's going to be something entirely different. And who knows, maybe that'll be okay too.. [emoji58] [emoji58] Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  6. I downloaded that and ditched it after it took me (what felt like) ten minutes before the game actually let me play it. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  7. What am I looking for from E3? I've got a new console and I'd kill for some fun games to play on it. Whilst I appreciate that 3rd party support will be lacking, I'm really hoping Nintendo can wow me with some cool stuff. Mario is a given, I'm going to buy that. I'm interested in this Rabbids thing....(shush) and I'm probably going to jump in on Splatoon II after giving the first game a miss. I'm desperate to see a new Metroid Prime game (hell I'd even take an HD re-release of Prime at this point). No bullshit pinball or arena shooters. Just Me, Samus and a shit load of spacey adventures, awesome alien looking things and a nice menu-scren would do the trick. Please Nintendo. Do something (anything) with this license. Also (and I shouldn't have to say this) put it on the Switch. The 3DS is great, but for my money you should be spending any future time making games for the system of the future. Failing that. I'd also accept a new game/remake of The Gamecubes Best Game Luigi's Mansion. That 3DS title was neat, and people went mad for it. Give the cooler brother another chance to (ahem) clean up with his own game. And Pokemon Switch. And Animal Crossing Switch. Star Fox? Switch??? Mario Tennis...on the Switch??????????? Away from Nintendo? Something Something Cyberpunk 2077. Something Something DMC2. Something Something Knights of the Old Republic 3.
  8. I'd be all over it but with my wonky work hours I've been unable to get online. Hoping to catch it this evening. No idea what to expect, although I'm not a massive fighting game fan so I guess my milage will vary depending on how close it sticks to that sort of game. I've got my fingers crossed for it though.
  9. Shame, I was secretely hoping it was a way for them to limit the time between the end of this season and the start of the final one.
  10. Yeah...I mean In an ideal world where 3rd parties made games for this thing I'd likely go with the less powerful version on the more portable hardware. And who's buying Nintendo hardware for 3rd party games at this point? [emoji58]
  11. That's a good fucking trailer. It's been about a year since we last saw the show right? I feel like I've forgotten an awful lot of what went down already, especially the 'show only' stuff.
  12. Initial feelings on the Switch after 36 hours: It's a damn cool system that I desperately hope people make games for, because I absolutely love using the thing. The Wii U was never a pleasure to use, it didn't even look nice. The Switch doesn't have those issues. It's super simple, and it looks damn good at the same time. I've mainly been playing Zelda on the couch whilst my GF watches TV, and despite my initial thoughts I could totally get used to playing games this way. Ultimately I think it's too early to tell how well the Switch will do, but god I hope they make games for this thing. Frankly, if it's a straight shot between choosing a better looking version on the PC/PS4 or a the more portable version on the Switch, I might for the latter. Same with Indies. Get me those games day and date as the XBOX/PS4/PC versions, and I'll probably pick them up for the Switch. Looking forward to ARMS this weekend. Only got the one set on Joycons (for now), but I'm sure I'll get the jist of it..
  13. Initial thoughts based almost entirely on the free comfort grip that comes with the console; they're okay. Everything is incredibly small; buttons, analogue sticks and even the shoulder buttons. It's working out okay whilst I play Zelda, but I imagine anything more action oriented is going to require the Pro controller. Initial thoughts on the Switch? This thing is so fucking cool. 14. Hey, I aint afraid of a little colour on my tech, its one of the reasons I adore the Gamecube as much as I do. As for the engagement, thing's have been a little crazy in the last month and I've not really had the time to get on PXOD to share the news. So no, you aren't the D bag for forgot. That honour falls to someone who doesn't frequent this fine forum.
  15. My Fiancee grabbed me a Switch as an early Xmas/Engagement gift. I opted for the coloured console because as a man who's slowely but surely losing all the colour in his hair; fuck grey. I've grabbed Zelda and Mario Kart alongside a screen protector. What else am I going to be needing?
  16. So I've just finished ending B and holy motherfucking god what was that preview? Craaazy! As much as I want to jump head first into C, I'm away next week and have work before then; I just won't have the spare time. It's going to be a very long 8 days.
  17. Naturally. I've waited almost a year for a DVA skin that I genuinely thought was cool, and then they finally give us one that requires me to play a game I've no interest in playing. Any chance this comes to the game as an item you can buy?
  18. A few things for me. I'm still spending far too much time playing BB-TAM. It's a cute mobile game where you aim to destroy blocks using balls and angles and shit. It looks like the 2048 people have been at it again and decided to release their own version, called..Ballz. For what its worth, I'd recommend BB-TAM. I picked up Snake Pass last week. It's exactly what you think it is, a cutesy puzzle game that oozes charm and offers a unique take on a fairly unoriginal genre. That being said, for all it's quality, it's let down by some infuriating decisions. Namely the checkpointing system that punishes you (and thus removes your eagerness to explore the maps) and a somewhat iffy camera. I'm going to go back to it, but I hear it gets even harder towards the end, and I'm not sure I need that in my life. Finally, I just picked up Player Unknown's Battlegrounds. I've spent 90 or so minutes with it so far, and jank aside I'm having a blast. I've spent 95% of my time hiding in bushes; furiously moving the camera around in order to spot any potential combatants, whilst trying to work out the games kinda-awful inventory management. It seems to run like a pile of crap on my system, but I'm thinking that might be an early access thing.
  19. Now you've got to take into account the market that's going to go out and buy these things knowing Nintendo isn't likely planning on making enough to supply demand. I'd love one, but I'm already doubtful I'll be able to get my hands on one.
  20. I think I'm right there with you. I never had any interest in the NES Mini as it was a touch before my time, the Super Nintendo though? Oh boy. Here's hoping it looks more like the PAL SNES than the US one.
  21. BBTAN Been playing an awful lot of this since Friday. I'd recommend playing with the sound turned on as it's got some lovely sound effects.
  22. https://www.gog.com/promo/20170403_weekly_sale_pc_gamer_picks GOG and PC Gamer have combined for a pretty decent sale. I'd recommend Virginia, Massive Chalice and Her Story. All three are going cheap.
