I've had a bad week. I needed this.. It was also my Birthday. GF pre-ordered me this:

I'll be honest, I'm really not all that bothered by this news. The only issue I do have is that people are going to lose the things they've purchased with real money. That part seems real shitty, especially when it seems like it should be so easy to offer them for free if those purchases are tied to PSN/XBOX account ID's. 'However, they will remain available to you in Destiny 1'. Because the only other option there would be to go out of their way and delete them? This Age of Triumph sounds interesting though. I could throw myself into a few more hours of Destiny, provided it's not too PvP heavy, which it likely will be.

I've fallen back from Overwatch since I started Titanfall 2, but from what I can remember D.VA has been having a bit of a rough time recently. First there was that eject bug, then a pretty substantial nerf and now this. She's my favourite character too, but in recent weeks she's been damn unplayable.

Based on absolutely no evidence I'm going to predict that Shadow of War is a bad game that fails to build on what came before it. Come at me!

Has the open 'beta' improved any of the bugs that were present in the closed beta? Surely the game isn't launching like it was three weekends ago?

Looks like no Virtual Console upon launch for the Switch. Personally, that wouldn't bother me all that much, but it's just another reason to think Nintendo has failed to learn anything from the Wii U.

We borrowed my GF's brothers Guitar Hero 3: LoR and World Tour disk/equipment and have been playing that for a few days now. I think the end result is that I'm going to get myself a copy of RB4 for the PS4. As much as I enjoy Guitar Hero Live, it's replayability is a bit of an issue with the way it handles it's online play. I'm just not willing to hand over money to continue to play the same 6-7 song's I'd like to play whenever I load the game up.

Okay, I signed up for the free trial, eager to dive head first into the trenches of WW1......................but BF1 isn't available in full using Origin Access. You can play online (limited number of maps) and there are 2 campaign missions available but I'd rather experience it in one go. Seeing as I've got the week, I've taken a look at this Aragami game. I've heard middling reviews, but it's free and if I don't like it, I've not lost anything. Shame about BF1 though.

Tbh I'm not really looking, but I think COD still offers it. Advance Warfare certainly did anyway.

Titanfall 2 Picked it up after some of my favourite gaming personalities praised the crap out of it for being really inventive and original in the way it tells its story. And yeah, it was alright. Had I realised before that the game didn't offer split-screen multiplayer, I'd probably have waited a few months for it to hit the £15 mark, but I'm not upset that I spent £25 on it. I spent a little time on the multiplayer side last night and I think it might be a keeper. It certainly won't replace Overwatch as my go-to PS4 time sync, but It's surprisingly fun considering I'm awful at it.

I had one very special moment with a Bastian a few weeks ago. We were playing Assualt on Volskaya and had been utterly incapable of taking the second point. We took the first one with relative ease but try as we might, we couldn't dislodge the bad guys for long enough. With 40 seconds left I thought 'fuck it, Imma try Bastian'. I got to the doorway, set up in Sentry mode and just started firing towards the two tanks that had been causing them issues. At this very same moment a DVA flew over my head, landed on the other side of the two tanks and together we brought them down. The rest of the team turned up, held off the bad guys and the day was done. It's probably my favourite Overwatch moment, and it came with a character I've played maybe 20 minutes of in total (across game modes). So yeah, any excuse to play as Bastian is a good thing.

Played a little DVA last night, and Atomsk is totally right. Numerous times I went in, found myself outgunned and before I had a chance to get the fuck out of there (like I'd usually do), I was ejecting. Remember when DVA was useless? She's that again.

I believe she's getting nerfed in the coming weeks no? Changing how her shield works, increasing her HP and decreasing her armour? I think the community is pretty pissed about it. They've got to fix that fucking DVA bug though. She's my main on 3v3, and the current eject bug (upon ejection she completely flies out of the map, and falls to her death) makes her unplayable in that mode. As for the game as a whole, whilst I don't play it nearly as much as I did in say July, I still find the time to play Arcade. Grab my 3 loot boxes and then get out. It's basically what I wanted Destiny to be; something I play for a few hours a week - every week.
