  1. So I've just finished ending B and holy motherfucking god what was that preview? Craaazy! As much as I want to jump head first into C, I'm away next week and have work before then; I just won't have the spare time. It's going to be a very long 8 days.
  2. Naturally. I've waited almost a year for a DVA skin that I genuinely thought was cool, and then they finally give us one that requires me to play a game I've no interest in playing. Any chance this comes to the game as an item you can buy?
  3. A few things for me. I'm still spending far too much time playing BB-TAM. It's a cute mobile game where you aim to destroy blocks using balls and angles and shit. It looks like the 2048 people have been at it again and decided to release their own version, called..Ballz. For what its worth, I'd recommend BB-TAM. I picked up Snake Pass last week. It's exactly what you think it is, a cutesy puzzle game that oozes charm and offers a unique take on a fairly unoriginal genre. That being said, for all it's quality, it's let down by some infuriating decisions. Namely the checkpointing system that punishes you (and thus removes your eagerness to explore the maps) and a somewhat iffy camera. I'm going to go back to it, but I hear it gets even harder towards the end, and I'm not sure I need that in my life. Finally, I just picked up Player Unknown's Battlegrounds. I've spent 90 or so minutes with it so far, and jank aside I'm having a blast. I've spent 95% of my time hiding in bushes; furiously moving the camera around in order to spot any potential combatants, whilst trying to work out the games kinda-awful inventory management. It seems to run like a pile of crap on my system, but I'm thinking that might be an early access thing.
  4. Now you've got to take into account the market that's going to go out and buy these things knowing Nintendo isn't likely planning on making enough to supply demand. I'd love one, but I'm already doubtful I'll be able to get my hands on one.
  5. I think I'm right there with you. I never had any interest in the NES Mini as it was a touch before my time, the Super Nintendo though? Oh boy. Here's hoping it looks more like the PAL SNES than the US one.
  6. BBTAN Been playing an awful lot of this since Friday. I'd recommend playing with the sound turned on as it's got some lovely sound effects.
  7. https://www.gog.com/promo/20170403_weekly_sale_pc_gamer_picks GOG and PC Gamer have combined for a pretty decent sale. I'd recommend Virginia, Massive Chalice and Her Story. All three are going cheap.
  8. ............. I watched Creed. It's basically my favourite boxing movie. Great story, interesting characters and some of my favourite 'sports' scenes from any film. The camera work was especially fantastic. Also Michael B Jordan, I love the man. Clear Eyes and all that. The score was a little lacking, apart from that one moment, and it's perhaps a smidge too short, but those are some very small niggles indeed. I'm an emotional mess ATM, so take this with a pinch of salt. Creed made me cry. It made me hopeful and it made me incredibly excited all at once. I loved this film.
  9. So is anyone actually thinking of getting this on PC or are we all sticking with D1 platforms?
  10. I spend too much time watching Youtube. Help me do more of it. Who/What are your favourite Youtube accounts to follow? Nerdwriter - Well produced film essay with the occasional foray into politics. Cinefix - Film stuff. Less essays and think pieces than Nerdwriter; more 'TOP 10 lists!!' Uraverageconsumer - Tech stuff. Very well made, updates regularly. Bonus points for him and his GF being absolutely fucking adorable. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCmeds0MLhjfkjD_5acPnFlQGiant Bomb - Duh. The Gamemakers Toolkit - This guy strips down game mechanics and explains them, how they effect the player and..all that. If you're into how games are made, I think this is worth a follow. NoClip - Because I think we need more of this sort of stuff in Video Games. Also who doesn't like Danny O'Dwyer?
  11. -- Totally put the film in the wrong thread. I should stop doing that. I like Arrival, I thought it was 'Good' rather than 'Okay'.
  12. Arrival I didn't love it as much as the directors previous works (mainly Enemy and Sicario), but it's still a fantastic entry into the science fiction genre. Hopefully it's successes allow studios to take less...cartoonish looks at what science fiction can do as a genre.
  13. Motorsport Manager So like many a british teenager, I spent most of the early 00's playing entirely too much Football Manager. I could say that I was somewhat addicted to it. Motorsport Manager isn't quite as deep as that, but it's scratching the same itch, although I think it's lack of depth is what will ultimately push me away from the game in the long run. The only negative I can find atm is that it seems almost as if I (as the manager of a team) am a none factor. Much like the iOS version, I can't shake the feeling that eventually my team will become successful because the game dictates it, rather than through any skill of my own. Going to stick with it for now though as I love this sort of stuff.
  14. Stories Untold An infuriating bug that required me to throw 20 minutes away whilst I restarted the final episode aside, its really fucking good little game. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  15. Not seen it myself, but I've not heard anything good about it. General consensus on the places I frequent is that its actively bad. So yeah, I think you can skip this one. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  16. I watched Hardcore Henry. I fucking hated it.
  17. Holy shit. The guy from Dream Team made it big in the US. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  18. I guess, although if they're carrying over my Warlocks face, how much harder would it be for them to do the same with a shader I bought? I understand they want to sell it to me again, but it still seems a little stinky. On the plus side, seeing as none of what made my characters mine will be making the jump to the sequel, it might be time to consider jumping platforms. I've got a group of friends who play on XBOX, and it might finally make sense to pick one up to party with them.
  19. I've had a bad week. I needed this.. It was also my Birthday. GF pre-ordered me this:
  20. I'll be honest, I'm really not all that bothered by this news. The only issue I do have is that people are going to lose the things they've purchased with real money. That part seems real shitty, especially when it seems like it should be so easy to offer them for free if those purchases are tied to PSN/XBOX account ID's. 'However, they will remain available to you in Destiny 1'. Because the only other option there would be to go out of their way and delete them? This Age of Triumph sounds interesting though. I could throw myself into a few more hours of Destiny, provided it's not too PvP heavy, which it likely will be.
  21. I've fallen back from Overwatch since I started Titanfall 2, but from what I can remember D.VA has been having a bit of a rough time recently. First there was that eject bug, then a pretty substantial nerf and now this. She's my favourite character too, but in recent weeks she's been damn unplayable.
  22. Based on absolutely no evidence I'm going to predict that Shadow of War is a bad game that fails to build on what came before it. Come at me!
  23. Has the open 'beta' improved any of the bugs that were present in the closed beta? Surely the game isn't launching like it was three weekends ago?
